You probably needed two cams, one for the main purpose and one hidden to take pictures of the person(s) that took your camera. I started noticing awhile back, pawn shops started to have used trail cams. Hmmmm I am no expert, but I guess even hunters get hard-up for cash, hunters of property to steal that is.

Its 14 degrees now here at the Vonore compound in Monroe County.

Its 22 degrees here, and according to NOAA the temps are suppose to keep falling through out the day.

Are you prepared for this epic cold weather. Let us know how cold it gets at your compound. Little adventure today and I felt like I was hunting 22 ammo. I needed some of those outdoor spigot insulators, those that are made of styrofoam and has a plastic tie to the spigot. I went to 2 Walmarts, 1 Kmart, 1 Freds, 2 small town hardware stores, a couple of Dollar Generals and a Family Dollar, all were sold out. You know the routine if you are a 22LR ammo hunter. Anyway finally I took a towel and duct tape and made the prettiest ball of insulation around the spigot my brain could think of.

I know there are other posts about the happenings in Connecticut, but this just needs a post of it own. If this doesn't get your heart pounding, nothing else will. Borrowed this picture from the NRA post on my facebook page moments ago:

Thanks for sharing, I didn't consider or think of this.

One more point, if you bat right with your politics, East Tennessee is excellent. If you bat left, West Tennessee is better. If you are a switch hitter that bats right more than left, middle Tennessee may be good.

In one of their 1st books, Willie Roberson talked about the acting, roles, and what appears to be made up for T.V. According to what I read most everything either has actually happened (without cameras present), or are skits that the Robersons have always wanted to do. At the end of the day, it is entertainment. If one likes it, embrace it. If one doesn't like it, don't watch. I for one very much appreciate the show, and for my family it has been a centerpiece of our T.V. entertainment for 2 years now.

Guns Stolen During Burglary At Madison Gun Shop
runco replied to Fourtyfive's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics

There is no wrong in making money, nor making lots of money. The root of all evil is when one is willing to sacrifice core values to make money, and making money truly dominates one life! Also a lurking evil is when one is coveting someone who has or who is making money. Some religious leaders no more represent the populous of following Christ than Adam Lanza represents gun fanatics of America. I am sure many of the low informed populous think each and every gun fanatic is a Adam Lanza in the waiting, and likewise I am sure many low informed populous think that each and every T.V. and Radio preacher is a money racket. Just like anything, if one is going to send a dollar to someone, one must vet out that person, organization, etc. to their own satisfaction.

You probably need to not venture far from the I-75 corridor. Knoxville and Chattanooga and the surrounding counties areas are likely best. Knoxville to Detroit is ~8 hr drive. There are many direct flights as well. BTW Knoxville airport has some of the countries highest fares anywhere.

This thread got me thinking what the climate actually is say in Connecticut. So I googled Connecticut Gun Boards and found the CTGuntalk.com. I have just spent the past 20 min. trolling their message boards. Maybe I didn't go deep enough, but I sure didn't find the rant and rage I was expecting to find. If anything, I found nothing but orderly compliance. I saw a thread or two about the lawsuits that have been filed, but honestly I thought I would find the hate page. Maybe I need to dig deeper. Is the playbook for us? If you want to look, here is their site: http://www.ctguntalk.com/smf/index.php?action=forum

Regardless you like them or not, when a good ole redneck makes it good, they will have a following. Good for the Robersons. If it wasn't for them, we all could be watching the release of the Honey Boo Boo ARs. Now that was the dumbest show ever created.

I'd say its state tax break driven for both. Why be in one place, when one can be in two.

The media has learned to whip it up to keep us watching.

Just seen this newsflash, Magpul made good on their promise: http://www.magpul.com/move January 2, 2014 Contact: Duane Liptak, Director of Product Management and Marketing Tel: 303-828-3460x170 Email: dliptak@magpul.com Magpul Industries Announces Plans for Relocation Company Is Moving Operations to Wyoming and Texas Magpul Industries announced today that it is relocating its operations to Wyoming and Texas. The company is relocating manufacturing, distribution and shipping operations to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Magpul is leasing a 58,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility during the construction of a 100,000 square foot build-to-suit facility in the Cheyenne Business Parkway. The Wyoming relocation is being completed with support from Governor Matt Mead, the Wyoming Business Council and Cheyenne LEADS. Magpul is moving its corporate headquarters to Texas. Three North Central Texas sites are under final consideration, and the transition to the Texas headquarters will begin as soon as the facility is selected. The Texas relocation is being accomplished with support from Governor Rick Perry and the Texas Economic Development Corporation. “Magpul made the decision to relocate in March 2013 and has proceeded on an aggressive but deliberate path†says Doug Smith, Chief Operating Officer for Magpul Industries. “These dual moves will be carried out in a manner that ensures our operations and supply chain will not be interrupted and our loyal customers will not be affected.†The company began a nationwide search for a new base of operations after legislation was enacted in Colorado that dramatically limits the sale of firearms accessories – the core of Magpul’s business. Magpul plans on initially transitioning 92% of its current workforce outside of Colorado within 12-16 months and will maintain only limited operations in Colorado. "Moving operations to states that support our culture of individual liberties and personal responsibility is important,†says Richard Fitzpatrick, Chief Executive Officer for Magpul Industries. “This relocation will also improve business operations and logistics as we utilize the strengths of Texas and Wyoming in our expansion.†About Magpul Founded in 1999, Magpul was launched to manufacture an innovative device to aid in the manipulation of rifle magazines while reloading under stress. The company’s name comes from the original product called the Magpul. Over the last decade Magpul has continued to grow and develop into additional product areas using much the same mission and process with a focus on innovation, creativity, and efficiency.
