Certainly agree.  I would probably lead into how quiet the area is, have there been any break-ins, and then question on hunting that will lead to occasional target practice. 

My wife and I are seriously considering buying a house with 15 acres that we have found.  Two reasons for this purchase is for the kids to have some large property to explore and play.  The other reason is to have a Hickok45 type shooting compound.  The property is in the county, and is miles and miles from the nearest city limit.  The property lays well and where I would shoot is in a small wooded hollar, and then there is an open field for long range shooting.  It really will be a great piece.  Anyway, there would be neighbors within ear shot of the shooting.  Before I shell out the big $$$ for the property, I have been considering visiting the neighbors, just to get a feel of the neighbors and test the waters of their gun stance.  I do know one of the neighbors is a deputy in the local Sheriff's office, maybe a higher up.    The point of this, this thread is very interesting, informative, and gives me additional thought before we pull the trigger (no pun intended).

We watch Gilligans Island M-T on METV at 8pm and 8:30.  My kids love it, just like I did growing up.  They were deeply saddened by his passing.    You know he was apart of Season 1 "...and the rest", but somehow the Professor and Mary Ann won the right to be apart of the Gilligan's Island song.

I hate that for the owner.  I know that a safe is not 100% safe, just watch some of the videos on Youtube.  I did finally get peace of mind over a year ago, a rider from State Farm in the amount of my collection less the NRA coverage.  That is the only way to go.  I do have several pieces that can not be replaced due to sentimental value!

Would you say you speak for the majority of CC holders, or likely a very ultra low percentage?  I for one have tried the discipline approach, and failed.  So I either pay cash (debit) or not at all.  I am so close to having my home paid for.  Then I am debt free!

Credit Cards should be taboo!  I grew up in house that my father thought being in debt was an embarrassment, and he didn't believe in credit.  When I was 20, found out how easy credit was and what I could buy.  It took 10-15 years to shake that habit.  I am anti CC now!  I discourage having one period.  Just say no!   Move on!

I know I am probably a minority, but I have never knowingly experienced drugs in my immediately family.  Your story is not the first I have heard of similar type drug drama in ones family of loved ones.  I do really sympathize with people like yourself who didn't ask for this drug drama, but had to live it with a heavy laden loving heart.  I couldn't imagine the pain and anguish of having to hurt or even kill my brother while defending my life.  Thank you for sharing. 

I was quite the naive person 20 years ago about the system.  I once dated this gal who had a system.  She and her daughter was on TennCare.  Every other week she would develop a severe headache or other illness with pain which required an ER visit, but always a different ER.  She would then receive some percocet or other pain pills.  Then she would go immediately to certain small grocery market in Knoxville, and get cash for each the drugs.  She also would sell the same market her monthly food stamps for $0.50 on the dollar.  She maintained a pay by the week car payment, monthly pagers fees, and she still managed to put gas in her car.  I quickly caught on to her scam, because I was victim too.  I paid for her housing, and food for a couple of months, before I grew a conscious and cut my loses!

When I was younger I would laugh at this.  Now that I am growing older, I just imagine playing this game with my peers, my same age peers.  Bummer! 

I know the media has a job to do, a legit job.  However, if the media would take a 2 year hiatus off from reporting on any school shootings I do believe the hype and glamour these sick people seek would fade.  Too many copycat people.  These murderous people should just turn their sickness somewhere else and be productive in society, hmmmm Afghanistan maybe?
