I can stream multiple movies on my pc at once. If I had the right video card, I could stream movies on each of the TVs in the house.

I have had many a great run ins with yellow jackets dating back to when I was 4 or 5. However, I don't recall ever seeing an above ground nest before. These must be a different species or from a different region.

My oldest son turns 10 in March. I want to buy him his first shotgun, something he and I can enjoy together. Shooting clays is what I have in mind since I already shoot a lot of clays using my Browning O/U. I thought about a Stoeger 410 or 28ga O/U, but have ran across some not so flattery reviews. I have stumbled across Yildiz O/U. I searched TGO, and found these older posts below. Any updated opinions, or anyone have personal experience? Anyone know if Academy in Knoxville or Chattanooga have any in stock? Some older TGO posts on Yildiz: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/37026-recommendation-12-gauge-overunder/?hl=yildiz#entry622485 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/12085-best-entry-point-shotgun-to-try-out-skeet-shooting/page-2?hl=yildiz#entry204517 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/2235-best-kept-secret-in-ous/?hl=yildiz The only home page on Yildiz I can find: http://www.yildizshotgun.com/en/anasayfa.html Thanks for any input.

Prayers that God's will be done. My father was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer 4-5 years ago. I know your feelings. Most of you know that I am follower of Jesus Christ. Over the years, I have seen a large share of people in church or out of church diagnosed with cancer. I don't mean this in any bad way, but cancer can be a blessing to some who never were a follower, or a serious follower. It can allow time to get right. In all of my experiences people find peace and lots of support.

That is good. In other places and with other people, some people just can't help themselves:

Very disappointing! WBIR Channel 10 reports today: Gun rights advocates are asking for a bill that would bar businesses from firing employees who keep handguns in their cars, but Republican leaders say they are reluctant to reopen the debate. The Tennessee Firearms Association has called on lawmakers to support a bill meant to clarify a law passed a year ago that lifted criminal penalties on workers who bring handguns to work if they have a carry permit. The law requires them to keep their guns locked up in their cars and out of sight. The so-called "guns-in-trunks" law was supposed to settle a debate that had pit business groups against Second Amendment activists, but a opinion issued in May by the state's attorney general upset that equilibrium by suggesting that workers still could be fired for bringing guns to work under Tennessee's at-will employment laws. The TFA says the original measure was "poorly written," but Republican leaders, including Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, say they will oppose attempts to reopen the question. Citing an analysis written by legislative staffers, Ramsey said last week that Tennessee's employment law creates a "public policy exception" that protects workers from being punished for carrying handguns in their vehicles. Ramsey also said employment lawyers are advising their business clients not to fire workers for having guns in their cars. So far, lawmakers have shown little interest in taking up the question. House Majority Leader Gerald McCormick, R-Chattanooga, has filed a pair of measures that clarify other aspects of the guns-in-trunks law. House Bill 1404 would protect gun owners if someone happens to see them putting away their guns, while House Bill 1405 says gun owners could leave their weapons in any vehicle they happen to be driving, not just one that they own personally. McCormick did not rule out the possibility of further amendments, but he did not think they'd be necessary. "These may not be perfect. Maybe they need to be modified," he said. "But I don't think so." http://www.wbir.com/story/news/politics/2014/01/21/tenn-gop-leaders-reluctant-to-reopen-gun-debate/4739027/

Round 2? Overnight suppose to be 12 here according to WBIR. BTW the record in the Knoxville area was 24 below zero set in 1985. I remember, my car would not start. Not due to the battery, but due to the oil was too thick.

Absolutely agree! We are living it everyday!

If they came out with 9mm, then no one would buy this 380. So the victims of this great marketing campaign will buy this gun first, and will highly likely buy the 9mm when it comes out too. However, if they came out with just the 9mm first, then very little marketing opportunity to buy the 380. Companies are smarter than you think. At least this is what this East TN hollar boy thinks.

That was cool.

This is better: HB1667 (Pody)/SB1733 (Beavers)

Looks like just a little procedural movement today of the SB1182 bill by Campfield, appears to have been Def. to 1/28/2014. I assume this means deferred. http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/default.aspx?BillNumber=SB1182&GA=108 -
We dumped dish about 6 months ago, we are now approaching $600 saved. We went with the traditional antenna (space age appearance). Excellent quality and reception, we are about 50 miles from Sharps Ridge in Knoxville. I have the living room big screen hard wired into my desktop, and its a click or two to have what's on my twin desktop monitors transferred to the big screen. We stream a lot of movies, shows, and whatever we can find on the net. We do use Amazon (prime) movies quite alot and Youtube. We still keep up with our favorite shows like Duck Dynasty, Pawn Stars, and others. On Friday's or Saturdays, we sometimes either rent from Redbox, or Amazon again, or just buy a new DVD or Blu Ray. The sports thingy is a challenge when its not on CBS or FOX. I too would like a solution, a no cost solution. You may want to make sure your high speed internet service is good enough for live streaming with excellent quality, ours is, but I know other people that have dropped dish and followed our example, have some high speed internet problems. Movies are broken or digitized blocks. Here are some links from TGO past on antennas and old fashioned ways: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/5498-need-high-def-antenna-info-might-dump-the-satellite/?hl=antenna#entry1017538 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/70075-who-watches-tv-the-old-fashioned-way-for-free-and-not-cable/?hl=antenna

I hear that August 4th will someday be a national holiday. If so, I would rather for them to give up MLK day in January for a hot summer day holiday anytime!

I once gambled and went with a cheap imported windshield for my Toyota Avalon. For $160 installed, it turned out very well. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference.

I am sure Taurus is a good gun, I for one am not a fan. My opinion is just perception, and I have never owned one. Try this place for some research: http://www.taurusarmed.net/forums/forum.php

Finally, got to see it a 2nd time. I took my son to it today. He liked very much. I was able to see that Marcus Luttrell himself makes several cameo appearances early in the movie. He was at the picnic table, I believe I saw him in the crowd during the ops briefing, I think once more during the new guy introductions and he boards the Chinook for the rescue that got shot down.

My wife and I are seriously considering buying a house with 15 acres that we have found. Two reasons for this purchase is for the kids to have some large property to explore and play. The other reason is to have a Hickok45 type shooting compound. The property is in the county, and is miles and miles from the nearest city limit. The property lays well and where I would shoot is in a small wooded hollar, and then there is an open field for long range shooting. It really will be a great piece. Anyway, there would be neighbors within ear shot of the shooting. Before I shell out the big $$$ for the property, I have been considering visiting the neighbors, just to get a feel of the neighbors and test the waters of their gun stance. I do know one of the neighbors is a deputy in the local Sheriff's office, maybe a higher up. The point of this, this thread is very interesting, informative, and gives me additional thought before we pull the trigger (no pun intended).
