Study study what you want, then create a matrix of what is out there, your budget, and then make it happen. I myself have been partial to Dell. In the future, I may have to try my hand at the Apple desktops since I now have 2 IPADs, 2 IPODS, and one IPhone. 3 years ago, did not own any apple.

Fake or real, I bet at minimum someone is out of the running for the taxpayer funded pension. -

For this video to be public, I guess this officer is no longer in the running for a government provided pension. -
Its that time of year again. The US Mail just delivered my last remaining 2013 tax document. I just bought the 2013 software, and while watching Gilligan's Island I plan do my taxes on one monitor, and TGO on my other monitor. Talk about multitasking!

Movies use to be something my wife and I went out to every weekend, then 1 mo, and now 1 year. I use to think it was due to our small kids, but recently attending the Lone Survivor taught me it was the costs most likely, i.e. ~$30 just for 2 people, and that is sharing 1 coke and 1 popcorn plus the movie tickets. I don't know how teenagers can even have a Friday night date anymore. A good comparison is attendance to NASCAR races, NCAA football games, and possibly more. I see and hear that venues like those and others are still challenged. When I was in my 20s, I went to each and every Bristol race, Bush and Winston cup, and few at Atlanta and others. I use to attend every home UT football game, and most other major events. I find these still just as enjoyable, but just too expensive to attend. I like my NASCAR, but on radio. I like my UT football, but on radio or TV. The others, I have faded away from. I have to cut corners somehow, because everything is so high. I also have cut satellite to cut costs and thanks to work, I no longer have own my personal cell phone, I have theirs. I don't trade cars as often as I use to, my truck is 12 years old, and my wifes van is approaching 6 years old. We bought both new. I sure do enjoy not having any car payments though, but I may have been on paid for coolaide for so long, I likely can never have a car payment again. I realize I am no longer 20 years old, 30 for that fact. I am in fact very close to 50. So is it society in general that has changed, the industry maybe, or just my buying habits have changed due to my age? I don't know. I do think the 2008 like 1929 had a major effect on the psyche on people and money. My grandmother was 10 when the great depression hit, but in her old age she was just so price conscious of everything and always had money stored up. I once asked her why, and she said I will probably never know what hard times are, but anyone who lived through the great depression will always save money at every opportunity and store money. I know I strayed from the OP, but I think there is more going on than just Hollywood changes.

I know I post a lot of similar posts, and I am very conscious of what I post, especially the URL addresses. Nothing against the OP. I too went to the OP site, but did not post any information because I did not recognize the wf and it also appeared to be linked to facebook in some manner. So I did not enter data! I would recommend a mod should remove this thread to protect people who may not read down further.

Cleaning rod advice needed......Best bang for buck?
runco replied to jess01999's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I thought I would blow the dust off this old post. See I am not too lazy to search and you shall find kinda of guy. Anyway, for Christmas my mother-in-law gave me a gift certificate to Bass Pro. I wanted to buy something that I would not normally buy with my own money, so I started browsing. I wanted something gun related, boat related or outdoors clothing related. After an hour or two of just browsing, I kept coming back to Tipton cleaning rods. I probably have 4-5 gun cleaning kits, from the cheap Walmart stuff, to Otis deluxe gun cleaning kits, and a few snakes in between. Now I do have a pet peeve with those 3 piece alum. or brass cleaning rods. For one, I have bent some over time by dropping, stepping on, and not paying close attention to my angle of insertion. I have also stripped the threads, and honestly the assembly / disassembly of the rods is just annoying (I know I am weird). So using the gift card I bought the Tipton cleaning rod at $39 + tax, which was the 36" model for my various 22 caliber rifles including my ARs. Excellent is all I can say, and why did I wait so long. $39 is why I waited so long. To me what makes this rod very good, is the rotation of handle which has excellent ball bearings on the inside which makes for a very good feel (like butta), and to me what I was really after I don't have to assemble the rod or have to re-assemble during my cleaning. Now after using it, I liked it so much, I have gone to Ebay and bought one for my pistols. It just arrived yesterday. The one for my shotguns will be next. My Bday is coming up in March, maybe then. I would have never bought this item if it wasn't for my mother-in-law, just too dang to expensive for gun cleaning. So kudos to the really old woman in my family. Did you know she is so old she really does expel dust when she expels gas. Its like a sand blaster. What is really funny, I have on purpose kept telling my kids when they were younger that grandma is so old she use to baby sit George Washington. I told that story for so long, one day the kids made mention to grandma about this baby sitting of George in a non-joking manner, which was just hilarious. The look on her face was just priceless. My wife made me unlearn the kids! Sorry, just wanted to tease my mother-in-law without fear of retribution because she will never read this. -

I know this post didn't get a lot of views. I bought the dvd this week, and just watched this movie. A very good reflection on Lt. Murphy's life. What a GREAT AMERICAN HERO. And for you Bush haters, President Bush was outstanding individual in what he did. What a great man of character.

Some folks just can not stay too long in a monogamous "gun type" relationship, others can.

Well this is a good of a place as any, its 5F at the moment, with 3" of snow on the ground here at the snowy compound.

I have not proved this statement, but I when I was in research mode here on TGO over a year ago, I recollect maybe 7-8+ times. Again, what some have already says plays a roll too. I bought close to 2,000+ range brass. I have no idea how many miles are on mine, so I have one of those lighted magnifying glasses on an arm mounted on my reload bench to aide my inspection of each case after a super duty cleaning and resizing.

What happens if you pass gas while reloading? Will this cause any harm to the power? :panic:

I've seen the You Will Buy A Glock on most gun message boards, so thought about one for Beretta with today's announcement of Beretta coming to Tennessee. Will you buy a Beretta if you have never had one before? Maybe just to be a patriotic Tennesseean? http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/75423-beretta-usa-building-new-facility-in-sumner-co/ The Beretta 92FS was my fist ever handgun purchase from 1992 at Wynns in Sevierville. I paid $549.95. I still have it, and the box. Its in excellent shape. It has an excellent trigger, and is little heavy. I don't cycle it through my ccw lineup because I don't have a IWB holster, but I am inspired today and may buy me a holster. I also have the Beretta 21A 22LR popup. It use to be temperamental with ammo, but I have shot the hound of it, and it works flawlessly now. So what say you? Will you buy one now? I hope so, we need to show Beretta what a gun loving state Tennessee really is! Maybe Sig Sauer will be inspired to move South too, maybe to the Knoxville area.
