It has been a long time since I last posted about Sigs monthly giveaways, maybe over a 1 or 2 years. Any hoot, are you in my friend? http://www.sigsauer.com/TeamSig/Sweepstakes.aspx

Heriloom guns are a wonderful way to pass on tradition to our kids. I have several passed to me, and some I would love to get a hold of, but others in the family have. I only hope they appreciate them as much as I do. I plan to pass on my to my own kids. What a truly great generation those WWII vets were! My grandfather passed when I was too young to fully understand what he had done, but I made up for from a great uncle who told many stories about D-Day. He was a mountain pastor, who had many sermons that he infused his D-Day experience with. He would weep heavily has he told what he saw and experienced. He is gone on too, I would love to hear those stories again.

My P220 is the most accurate handgun I have. I occasionally compete against myself using my Colt 1911, Glock 21, and Sig P220, same conditions, same ammo. Not sure if its the sights, the grip angle, or the weight, but the P220 in my hands just performs measurably different than the others.

Parking lot law problems where I work
runco replied to 2000silverz28's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I suspect this bolsters the profiling of at risk individuals by Human Resources. At my work recently, we had to participate and train our own employees on what to do in case of a active shooter. Run, Hide & Fight. I think the training was good, long over due, except in the power point training the portion of what to look for in a proactive stance and let management know. I am still struggling with the profiling, one example of which could include me. Example, if a work colleague is obsessed with guns, especially military weapons, this person may be at high risk. I assume I am on this list. White, Middle Age, Overweight, Obsessed with guns, and I have a HCP. I guess I need to cover-up or tear off my TGO sticker on my truck. -
To the low information crowd or the lazy or the folks who have not figured out how to buy using a FFL transfer, assume gun shows are still a must, for me, the internet is where its at.

That looks great!!! I like to dive back in history to see what we all wrote when this story broke. Does everyone remember this?
-
Not a fan, we already had absentee voting. Its just a cloaked method of rallying low information folks to vote democratic.
-
Close to home, know several workers, but none of the victims. I read early this morning the shooter had a HCP, and I suspected he went to his car. I hate it for the victims!

You need to have a wife that works part time a major grocery chain. You need to hear to stories that I hear. Talk about milking the tax payers.

Buy both. I have both, and don't have to worry about which one is better. I do not discriminate.

In the big metropolitan of Vonore, we are out. Just sent the wife to find some. When she gets back, I need to fill up the diesel. I think it can be found, but not sure. -

The Fair is less than week away, can we carry? Yes or No? -
If I knew then what I know now about EDC
runco replied to mbeard1's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I echo the good belt and holster. I carried for years without a good belt, didn't know what I didn't know. The belt is a must. As for me, I am 100% Crossbreed, both belt and holsters. I have many edc pistols which is fun, but I have a Crossbreed holster for each gun. Maybe 5 or 7 can't remember. That is how much I love my holsters. Its really the Ford vs. Chevy debate, just find what works for you, and go. BTW, many here will recommend the Belt man for belts, heard he was very good. -
Goodbye, many laughs. Loved Stir Crazy and many more.

I have gone for years, and my young boys love to go, but not today, but next weekend for us, unless I happen to have extra time to walk down my driveway.

Very sad. Heard the briefing on the radio about his death. Prayers to the family.

I started to go, needed some defensive ammo for my G30S, ended up buying from local hardware store instead. The door fee is too much for me anymore. PS Always look before you leave the store, dang jim came home with 45GAP. Luckily, he is a good guy, easy return and exchange.

Firearms Insurance - Proof of Ownership on Inheritance Question
runco replied to Hammer285's topic in General Chat
My history with firearms insurance: Originally went with State Farm standard policy. Added what my agent said was the maximum at the same time for a just a few dollars more per year, I recall this was going from $2.5K to $5K or something (20 years ago). A few years back, went to State Farm, wanted more coverage after reading various gun forums, and was able to get additional coverage. Had to provide a listing of gun makes, models, s/n, and approximate value. The problem, the local State Farm front end agent/clerk. The eyes she made, the shock, and the amazement of my list. She even made a verbal comment to me, that is a lot of guns, why would anyone want so many. I did not like this at all. In the past years, after reading more gun forums, and looking over Armscorp Insurance, made a decision to move from State Farm to Armscorp. I found them to be 15% less than State Farm, but the no hassle, no list, no s/n, etc. made it all the better. Everything was through the internet, and even got my policy (PDF) in less than 24 hours after my payment via email. Hope to never file a claim, but I have some level of comfort, and no judgment by the one accepting my money. -
Gen2 19 is one of the most sought after Glock pistols, ask yourself why? I don't think its due to collecting. They just feel so much better.

The 43 is on my immediate radar too, but I have already recently acquired my one gun per year allotment self imposed rule that I have however that might not stop me. My delay in pulling the trigger is price point. I monitor GB quite often, and I am trying to find a new one delivered + my local FFL fee + TICS for less than $450 OTD. A couple of times I have came close, but I refuse to pay the 3% cc markup thingy, and that was a show stopper for me. Its more of a challenge to see if I can really do it, otherwise if a good used one landed one in my lap I wouldn't mind it.
