For my gun hobby, I must be doing something right. After I said I was done for awhile with my kids baseball at full steam. I wasn't being hypocritical, but when ones unicorn comes along, especially the 2nd one, what can you do. Some of you may know about my other post that I made on March 13th: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/76969-my-unicorn-finally-slayed-glock-32-gen2/?hl=glock#entry1124550 Well, a few days later, I was just trolling Gunbroker and found a listing for a just a simple Glock 31 used with 1 bid. So the picture caught my attention, no light rail. So I looked, and behold it is a Glock 31 Gen2 with the "357Sig" stamped on the slide. No mention in the wording about being a Gen2 or Gen3, but I knew for sure what it was assuming they were using the actual pictures. So I bid on it, and won at a unreasonable low price. Shipping was not known until the seller contacted me, $15. The seller was a Pawn Broker in Georgia. The transaction was smooth, quick and delivery was fast. I took possession of it last week from my local guy. Though its not as pristine as my 32, it has been holstered and by the looks of the barrel, its been shot maybe less than 1,000 rounds (scuffs on the outside of the barrel). Nonetheless, I am pumped. I am short on 357Sig ammo, but I have about 1,000 casings, so over the weekend I have been reloading. Whew, 357Sig is not that easy to reload. For almost 3 years now I have been on the look out for both the 32 and 31, and scored both within 30 days. One by the search engine on GB and other by happenstance on GB. Now I don't know what to do. Mission accomplished. I just a need a 19, which are very common, and I will wait until I find one for a good low price. I also have sworn off the 17L and 24, but maybe I need to reconsider. Those Gen2.5 26 & 27s may be next after the 19. I don't have a dog in this race, but this reminds of a lead up to a Roy Mercer phone call. You know the guy, ....just how big a boy are you..... -
Vontar this is what you need man: I actually want one of these in my next house for my gun room!

I would hide the cameras, a good shot with a BB gun from those neighbors will take your cameras out.

I hope gunshow promoters read posts like this. This is great market intelligence.

Question pertaining to police assistance at night??
runco replied to bersaguy's topic in General Chat
Very nice story. I would assume this dispatcher's job is to access the seriousness of the situation before calling people to action. -
Make sure you know that I am talking about two inventories. One for the bound book, and the other for merchandise inventory tracking for tax purposes. Additionally, do you care to cite federal or state code that substantiates your argument? I still do not believe the FFL "owns" the property. I contend the FFL is just a temporary holder or custodian of the item until the 4473 is executed. This does not make the FFL the owner of the property. If the buyer should fail the background, one would think the options to the owner of item even though they are not legally allowed to possess the item would be as follows: A.) Pay the receiving FFL for his normal fee, and have the item returned to the seller at the buyer's expense for a full or partial refund; B.) Assuming no returns are allowed by the seller, the buyer can sell the item to the receiving FFL if an agreement can be met; C.) Cosign the item into the receiving FFL inventory for normal selling in the receiving FFL store if an agreement can be met; D.) Have the item transferred to a different FFL of the buyer's choosing less fees, shipping, etc. for sell in the other FFL store; E.) Forfeit the item to the receiving FFL.
-
Technically the property of the receiving FFL? I don't think so, the gun shop may be a gate keeper of the property, or holding the firearm like a escrow. A good litmus test is assume the FFL is at the end of their business fiscal year, and had to do physical inventory for tax purposes, this lower is on site. They will not inventory this item because they do not own it, they did not use their funds to acquire it, therefore will be excluded from inventory books. This receiver is 100% the ownership of the buyer, he just can not take possession of it until the 4473 form has been completed and approved. Now if he had purchased this item at this FFL, that is a different matter.

Don't see how this is any different if you were to buy something say at Walmart, you pay, and the cashier refuses to give you your goods. Who would you call? I would call local law enforcement and report a theft!

I may be door dumb, but what good is a quality door and lock without a solid door jam?

I have been going to gun shows for close to 25 years. I now just go 2-3 times per year. I rarely buy from tables anymore, just from individuals walking the aisles, and mostly just trinkets or something. I do enjoy the smaller small town gun shows more, because you may just run into something that would not normally show up at a large gun show. I admit Gunbroker, Armslist, Midway, Brownells, Ebay, etc. are my preferred places to shop.

Just got mine in the mail today. If this is a Chinese knock off, it is certainly extremely authentic looking. Its in the Magpul packaging. My guess its 100% authentic! -
I had this to happen to me last week. I think I cleared out my cookies, and its okay now. No redirection.

I enjoyed a few good ones today! Oh well, once per year is not a bad thing. Its better than rolling yards on Halloween, or at least at my age.

I only ordered one based upon the fake factor too, I needed several more. Purchase at your own risk and reputation. -
FYI on ebay, there is a seller with 100% feedback who has these listed for $25 or Make Offer with free shipping. I made an offer of $20, and he accepted. Thought I would pass along. Shows he has 79 left, 21 sold. This morning he had only sold 3. Not affiliated with this person whatsoever. http://www.ebay.com/itm/221403227067?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Thanks for the advice. The coaches for my son's current team are well known to me. If we decide to go to the next level, i.e. travel ball, I will be very mindful of the coaches. I am not necessarily a timid quiet parent, I have got in trouble before for being loud, but not rude or in conflicts with other parents.

I have been very conscious of this. Its at his pace, but I want him to have excellent equipment and opportunities that I did not have at this same age. He really does like baseball. Any time that I can steal him away from video games is a big plus in my book!
