1. 1st, FB decided to raise your rate, then they went looking for an excuse!  Unless they have your ssn, how did they run your credit.  I don't remember giving my ssn to my agent, but maybe I did.   I have been with State Farm for close to 25 years now.  Other than my home, I have never had any increase.  I do negotiate even with State Farm, and I have actually negotiated one agent against another agent.  Yes, it does work.  My home insurance is just like a 45 degree angle on increases, it just never ends.  My cars, boat, and my extra gun insurance works perfect for me.  I know I pay more than some of the other insurances, but I have heard too many water cooler type discussions at work about all of those others and the headaches on claims.  When the tornadic storms came through this area in 2011, and my truck and house took a beating from the 3-4" hail, State Farm paid without any hassle, and I had close to ~$23K in damage between the truck and house.  I added it up, I think they paid out more on my claims then they have took from me in my 25 years now.  So I guess we are even.  Like a good neighbor, they were there.
2. Learned something new today.  Since I am not a wheel man, I didn't know anything about a RG Revolver.  Just googled, wow!  1st, I didn't know this was the type of gun used to shoot Reagan.  Didn't know there is a case law based upon this gun, and then there is the news of these things simply blowing up, i.e. one gun blew up with 22 shorts.  I sure didn't think anything was worse than a Lorcin until I read about these things.   This guys post on another forum is a plethora of knowledge: http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/handguns/43842-rg-revolvers-good-gats-godawful-grenades.html
3. I just wouldn't tell anyone.  Have you no shame?

New Sig P320

I heard the trigger feels very much like a glock, does it?
5. This is not fun!  Doppler hooks about 10 miles away.
6. This is looking rough for my area for the next 2 hours.  I hope everyone stays safe!    http://radar.weather.gov/radar_lite.php?rid=mrx&product=NCR&loop=yes
7. That was quick!  WBIR is reporting the officer is fired:   http://www.wbir.com/story/news/local/downtown-ut/2014/04/27/kcso-investigating-photos-after-massive-ut-party-bust/8307013/
8. 3 years ago today, was the worst weather day of my life.  I took the weather forecast in the days leading up to April 27, 2011 with a grain a salt.  Now all threats of severe storms weather forecasts gets my attention.
9. Channel 10 reported it, and then I went to their web site to see the pictures for myself.
10. I myself am just concerned about my own ox in the ditch so to speak.  For any member that I consider a friend, I already have alternative ways to contact them other than the TGO communication method.  I would recommend other TGO friends do the same.  You just never know.  Don't wait until the lights are out to discover you have no flash light or candles.  Or since this is gun message board, don't wait until you out of 22LR ammo to realize there is no 22LR to be had!  Be mindful virtual physics do apply to even message boards,  what goes up must come down, all good things must come to an end (someday), and time devours all things.
11. Saw this earlier today, but dare not post it here.  To much housekeeping or threat of housekeeping for cop bashing or being just mean.  I agree still photographs are always not clear even though they appear to be clear.

A good lunch

Great story!  Thanks for sharing.
13. I was in Greenville, SC again this week.  I was able to visit the Cabelas store there that opened just a few weeks ago.  OUTSTANDING inventory!  This place makes Bass Pro look like the Dollar General when compared to a Super Walmart.  Outstanding store.  One of the largest inventories of guns I have seen for both new and used.
14. This is similar, but more of an embarrassing experience.  A manager that I work with was on vacation several years ago.  Some manufacturing emergency was occurring, and they needed something that was on his work computer to solve the problem.  They called him on his cell, and after several attempts to get his password, he finally relented and gave the pw to the office manager.  The office manager was a very prim and proper church lady, very classy and very snobby!  His password was:  BigA$$Tibbies (change the "bb" to "dd" to get his real pw).  For days/weeks, the whole office of 100 people or more was rolling every time they seen him.  Needless to say, he never gives out his pw now.  If you work a professional job, I would recommend a clean pw!
15. Absolutely agree with this approach!  This is how we bought the last vehicle.  Even after the best quote through email, there is still significant negotiations at the dealer.  Just make sure to always talk OTD price!  Never trade anything in, and always have your financing done by yourself.  The dealer will get a signing bonus by the finance company if you finance at the dealer, i.e. $500.

17. I seen this on FB moments ago, and went on the hunt and found it. You might want to try. Here is the link for the hunt, and then the FB posting below: http://www.colt.com/

20. I knew they stocked M400, 716 and the 522, but never have seen the 556 being stocked!  I have thumbed through the hard copy catalog at the sporting goods desk, and yes you virtually can order any gun other than a handgun.

Happy Easter

Yes, everyone have a great Easter.  As for me, thank you Lord for dying on the cross, and making people like be eligible for eternal life with you.    Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  1 Peter 1:3   http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Peter+1:3
22. You are lucky.  I make sure your smoke detectors work.  We have seven in our house, one in the kitchen area, one in each of the bedrooms, one each in each of the bathrooms, and then one for the garage.  Practically every room that is shutoff with a door.    My parents when I was in my young 20s had a stove burner that never worked from day one of the installation.  That was some 12 years earlier.  One afternoon in 1987, dad was at work, mom was with some friends eating dinner a restaurant, a brief afternoon thunderstorm came through, and I got a call at work from someone looking for my mother that their house was on fire.  It was determined that the stove, specifically the one stove burner that never worked, suddenly worked, and the decorative pot mom had sitting on there, melted and caught the house on fire.  The fire marshall theorized that maybe the house was lightning struck and somehow the non-working stove burner began working again.  Don't know how the switch was left on.  Could have been left on for years.
23. I remember this well, in 1994 the wholesale pricing on these Lorcins as I remember:   25 Auto $29 380 Auto $39 9mm Auto $69   In my hay day, I sold close to 200-300+ of these things.  Absolutely a piece of junk.  I did hear that the 380 were less prone to jam though!  Instead of 80% of the time, they jammed just 20% of the time.   My business model was not high end, but don't laugh I did make $30 to $80 per sale though.  Not too many high end guns have this margin, and volume.  I should admit I am no longer in business though!  Its been 17 years, I sure do miss the business fun!
24. To me, this is what I want in a gun show: 1.)  New guns to be more economical than any local stocking store. 2.)  Gun accessories to be more economical or the same as any deal I can find on the internet.  Everyone has smartphones anymore.  We are not dumb or impulse buyers.  We do our homework! 3.)  Every table must be a table of guns, gun related accessories or ammo.  No ifs, ands or buts!  If you the promoter can not sell out the tables, and you have to use beef jerky or some lady selling pocket books, that might me a indication your too high on your table rentals. 4.)  Promote or encourage gun trading with individuals.  Need more good used guns walking the aisles!   The gate fee I get, the promoter has to pay the rent a cops, insurance, and make money, but the fee should be based upon the number of tables.  If the Ktown show is $10 to enter to see 500 tables, but the gate fee say for the small town show is $8 to see 40 tables, that is just highway robbery for the small town shows!
25. Is this before or after installation?  I believe after installation, not loose or any play.  Its designed where you can not over torque while installing.
