1. Welcome neighbor.
2. I'm interested in this thread, we are going to do the same maybe next Spring.   I have read that if you are 6 mos out, maybe contact your congressman.  Not for sure, but I have always heard that.
3. Hey here is another sweepstakes, but this one is very short, this week only. https://www.ruger.com/dataProcess/newProductSweeps/?r=y
4. There is a button, it does exist.  It use to be called the United States of America!  We have the tools, we have the means, but the leadership has no stomach!  Why?  There is no denying, the leadership panders to its own party!
5. Whewwww! Its been awhile, I was beginning to worry about the sweepstakes! Not to worry, its here! Are you in? http://www.sigsauer.com/Promotions/Sweepstakes.aspx

Colt AR15-A4

To each his own!  For the reason I want this rifle, it does not meet build your own criteria.  If I wanted a shooter and nothing more than a shooter, than I would agree with you.  I collect about as much as I like to shoot.  This is not my first AR, nor my 2nd,  nor my 3rd, and not my last AR, it just meets my collectible criteria and one other reason, to pass on as a legacy gun to one of sons.
7. Why are we not on this list? Just goes to show why "we Tennesseeans" need to buy more guns. That is what I am going to tell my wife why I recently bought another AR! Very interesting article, not sure of how the data was comprised: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/08/31/take-a-gander-at-americas-most-heavily-armed-counties-the-ones-that-arent-on-the-map-might-surprise-you/ Take a Gander at America’s Most Heavily Armed Counties. The Ones That Aren’t on the Map Might Surprise You Aug. 31, 2014 9:49am Zach Noble Maybe Texans don’t like guns as much as stereotypes have led us to believe. A map, posted Saturday by Reddit user Ramesses_Deux, purports to show the 30 U.S. counties with the highest rates of gun-owning residents. The state with the most gun-having counties appears to be a state that doesn’t have counties at all: Louisiana. Image via imgur Six Louisiana parishes rank in the top 30, with Idaho, Utah and Vermont also boasting healthy figures. The list, per Ramesses_Deux: Fairbanks borough, AK – 59.1% Tooele County, UT – 59.1% Nez Perce County, ID – 59.0% Armstrong County, PA – 57.6% Rapides Parish, LA – 52.8% Teller County, CO – 52.3% Darlington County, SC – 52.1% Franklin County, VT – 51.7% Randolph County, NC – 51.1% Canyon County, ID – 50.9% Anchorage Municipality, AK – 50.0% Laramie County, WY – 49.6% Davis County, UT – 48.8% Yellowstone County, MT – 48.7% Franklin County, PA – 48.5% Pennington County, SD – 48.5% Terrebonne Parish, LA – 47.9% Ouachita Parish, LA – 47.6% Florence County, SC – 47.6% Orange County, VT – 47.0% Calcasieu Parish, LA – 46.4% Weber County, UT – 46.3% Kanawha County, WV – 45.2% Ada County, ID – 45.0% Pulaski County, AR – 44.7% Minnehaha County, SD – 44.7% Westmoreland County, PA – 44.0% Pinal County, AZ – 43.6% St. Tammany Parish, LA – 42.5% Caddo Parish, LA – 42.2% As the original poster noted, the map is based on a City Data list of the top 101 U.S. counties by firearm ownership, but City Data does not give the source for the list’s information. Reddit users were quick to note the unexpected results on the map. “Not a single one is in Texas, that’s a surprise,” one user wrote. The first Texas county on City Data’s list is Harris County at No. 73, where apparently just over 30 percent of residents have a home firearm. Another Reddit user offered a theory for why Louisiana was so well-represented. “Louisiana has a 2nd Amendment sales tax holiday, a weekend in which firearms, ammunition and, I believe, hunting supplies are tax free,” the user wrote. “As a former resident of Louisiana and gun owner I’m not surprised by the numbers, though I figured northern Louisiana would be better armed than the southern half of the state.”
8. I would get a Colt AR15 M16A2!  :yum:
9. Update, I closed on this sell today, woohoooo!  Very simple and very easy, and honestly very cheap.  Thanks to Craigslist and folks here!  I don't know if I will ever use a realtor for future property sells.

Colt AR15-A4

Already sold out, sure glad I got in. Read on another forum, that someone talked to the sales person, and they said they were selling about 10 an hour.

Colt AR15-A4

Ever since last December when Colt announced it was going to release a 20" rifle like the old A2, a current copy the Marines A4 rifle, I have been enticed, and quietly the kid in me was beginning to build in a want of this rifle. Yes, there are other 20" makes and models, but I am very partial for the pony and I ride the pony most of the time when I can! And though I like the carbines, I like the rifles better! I already have a A2 green label and a few carbines, my A2 rifle is my favorite, but my only complaint it has a fixed handle. I have found a dealer in the local area that has one in stock, but his price is well North of internet prices of ~$1200. The problem of the internet places like Buds, and others, they have been sold out since March. This rifle seems to sell out fast on the internet. Today I came home from lunch, and to my surprise, I had a email from Buds, they had received a shipment. Sweeeeet! Though what makes this a super deal, the price has dropped from $1200 to $856 delivered! Wow, I rushed to the phone, and placed it in layaway! First time trying their Layaway! BTW no sales tax! I'm stoked! However, I have to break the news to the wife, I guess I need to sell some more items on ebay! I will give a range report in about 60-90 days along with pictures. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/84310/Colt+AR15A4+AR-15+30%2B1+223REM5.56NATO+20%22
14. Wire wrap barrels, do not shoot it.  I was warned many years ago, that wire wrapped or what I call damascus barrels are very dangerous with modern shells.  Otherwise, I have not seen one like this before.  Nice, I like old double barrels.
15. Congrats, it took me 9 years to get my 4 year degree!   Lots of nights, and summer terms!
16. I am a deacon at my church.  I am one of the ones that takes care of about 12 families.  The biggest problem I know of, I don't know what has happened.  Usually by the time I am informed so and so is sick and is in hospital, they are already released.  Not knowing your situation, but I say did someone know at the church, and I mean ether the pastor, deacon or one of the elders?  If not, then the right people probably did not know.

It's Hot

It's too hot outside to do anything. It is so hot, that...............
18. As a buyer, quite simple, pay the price and answer questions of the seller (if any).  Risks:  Stolen, used in a crime, defective, setup (if you are a felon).  Like any purchase, recommend a bill of sale to protect you on a what if its stolen.  As a private seller, a little more stringent.
19. My thoughts, if off the book, and say you did have a qualified shooting event, and the gun was traced as stolen or was a previous police dept. gun, the media publicity would be terrible regardless of the legality own or not, and the circumstance to why it was used.    For all guns that are off the books, are you 100% certain without any doubt if the gun is stolen or not?  Allegedly or suppose to be clean, or came from a 1 owner, does not hold water.    My :2cents:
20. Deal alert, CDNN has these in stock for $599 http://www.cdnnsports.com/hk-vp9-9mm-4-striker-w-rail-ambi-3-dot-sgt-2-15rd.html#.U_P7hWO1G8A
21. Now that is cool
22. Folks thanks!  Seriously thank you!   I will check out the firm you suggested!
23. I need your advice.    When it comes to guns, I know enough to hold my own, know how to sell cars, sell flea market items, and whatnot, but when it comes to real estate, I am as new or clumsy as they come.  I inherited a house and property 10 years ago, that we do not live in, and I have had it on/off for sale since then as a FSBO.  Its always been advertised needs work, as is where is, no guarantees, etc.  Well in the past 2 weeks with pressure from the wife, we changed the signage and posted for the first time to Craigslist.  Many calls, and today BINGO!  I have a someone who is making a cash offer and its precisely within the acceptance range, and we have agreed over the phone.  This is where I need help.    What is the next step?    I think I know the next steps are to get some money down to make sure he is serious, the next thing is have some type of agreement/contract, hire a attorney or hire a title company or both?  Do I need a simple agreement between now and when we can sign something more formal?  There are no liens, and title is clear.  We can close as soon as the lawyer/title co. can execute the sale.  I know there are some folks here full of wisdom and are just busting to share their experience or guidance.   Thank you in advance of your input!    The home is in Sevier Co.
