  1. We all knew if you had one of these, well you know...................We have been trying to keep the kids safe!
  2. My take, good quality used vehicles are hard to find.  People are just keeping them longer, because of better quality and replacements are just too high.  I read not too long ago, that car lots are in need of good used vehicles, and there is a national shortage.  I understand "used" cars is what makes the gravy, vs. "new" cars.  I think I recall "new" cars fetch about a ~4% margin, whereas used vehicles fetch on average ~20-30% margin.   If accurate, that is a bitter pill to swallow knowing someone is making $2-$3Grand on a $10K vehicle.    As for me, if I were in the market for "used", I would certainly try to buy from an individual vs. a car lot.
  3. I don't like them.  I am a Sig connoisseur, but I will go out of my way to avoid the rail, though I have one in my collection with a rail.  I do not have any use for the rail, and I think they are ugly, and could snag on my holster.
  4. I have the Howard Leight R-01982 Impact Pro, and though they are large, they are very good.  I use them mostly for listening to YouTube Videos, has I have a house full of kids!  They are great to use for shooting!  I have not tried other muffs.
  5. Risk and Reward!   As a "former" business owner, I loved the sky is the limit on what I could make as a business owner, but there is comfort in that steady weekly paycheck.
  6. Posting to remember.
  7. From personal experience, I was like five years old, and was visiting family.  I was clearly told whatever I do, do not run from the doberman dogs.  When I got out of the car with my mother, and we had some distance to walk from the driveway to where our family was standing outside, I heard dogs barking, and the dogs were running in my direction.  What do I do, I panic and run.  These adult dogs were in full sprint barking very loudly and I kept running and running, and they treed me on top of a truck cab.  These dogs were (no joke) within a few feet of me, and it was very traumatic to me.
  8. First let me preface this that I had a very frightening experience with some dobermans when I was like 5.  Some 40+ years later, I still dislike any aggressive dogs, but I mostly dislike dobermans, chows, and most of all pittbulls!  Not too many pitts in my area, especially the ones that I find on the loose!
  9. I made the switch to outdoor antenna 18 mos ago, and have not regretted it.  I use my Amazon prime to stream movies on my large TV, and honestly I have not missed much cable TV at all.  I sure don't miss the monthly bill.  I am guessing I have saved close to $1800 which may explain several guns that I bought in 2014!
  10. Mine for 2015, less gun purchases, more shooting, more ammo, and more optics.    BTW, yes loose weight or hold the line!  Buy a new homestead!
  11. Can't begin a new year without resolutions.  Whats yours!  In fact recording it here, may keep you on track until at least February!
  12. Surrounded by Wife, 4 boys, and our cheezy toast with grape bubbly watching dead Dick Clark rocking the new year!  The funny part is keeping the boys up.  Making it to 11pm is a piece of cake, but that stretch from 11pm to midnight, its a chore!
  13. What road, I did not see any stinky road!
  14. Now that is cool!

    New Shotgun

    2nd the throw up!  Nasteeeeee!
  16. I'm envious!
  17. Welcome.  I use to pass through your beautiful town 2x a week while going to ETSU in the late 80s.  Had many friends from Greenevill.  Do the signs in town still point out evil in the name?  This might have been a 1x time thing for football, but I remember seeing a "official" sign with the word evil highlighted in the name.
  18. I have some Colt alum mags, should I try these?  I assume alum. will penetrate further than plastic?
  19. Congrats!  Know the feeling when something goes your way!
  20. Bascially try to cut an angle, and use a cold chiesel to hammer at an angle. But something this small, I am not sure.  But I would try the ez out method first.
  21. Drill as close as possible to the actual diameter, and that ez out will work.  My buddies who know me know that I will break bolts, round nuts, and bascially screw up anything like this on anything I touch.  I have lots and lots of experience.  The hammer method will work to, but I am concerned about how to best secure your gun and the oops that can occur.
  22. 100% agree.  Hated it!  Fortunately, we bought ours at a yard sale for $1.  But I did endure watching it to the end, but I only watched it once!
  23. Here is what you need from Sears:   http://www.sears.com/craftsman-10-pc-screw-extractor-set-w-vinyl/p-00966196000P
  24. Extractor is the best way.  Just be careful.    Might want to watch this too:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K34RS6M11uw
  25. Go to a pawn shop, find the movie for $2, and watch it.  Maybe the best situation.  If necessary, pay to watch on Amazon, or Netflix.
