My grandmother who had dementia shot at the gas meter man once, fortunately he was cool.  We quietly took the 22 rifle away and the pistol away.

I have a uncle that prefers a mule and plow over a tractor, but that is not for me. I have another family member that prefers not to embrace the internet, but that is not for me. I prefer the radio over the TV, but I know that I am in the extreme minority. I still like land line phones over the cell phone. Technology shifts, some people embrace, why others like or cling to older proven technologies. Glad we can choose. For work I have taught purchasing professionals that there is a difference between a market based driven price vs. a cost driven price.  Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but I prefer cost driven.   Unless you plan to go into the business, I would recommend a cost based approach.  Cost of the wood, fasteners, surface treatment, and your time.  Keep it simple.

You asked for advice, I recommend a strong work hand man!  What better place to find one, but here at TGO.  Congrats, and good luck.  Maybe some of the single gents here will coming knocking.  Just make sure they have strong hands.  ;)

A lot of truth here! If one wanted to minimize the risk: -don't advertise what you have... even here.   - this especially goes for things that thugs would also like to have. -don't advertise where you live -in general don't be an "attention magnet" outside of your trusted groups.  (this goes for high school and college kids especially)  IMHO: It shoes a low sense of Situational Awareness - in a way that is easy for victimizers pick up on.

Watched the video.  48 Hours knows how to stretch the length of the story.  Very sad for the girl.    Regarding what I would do, all I know is that I would give it my best! 

We just saw one a few days ago.  Its been years since I had seen any.  Thought that Coyotes had put a dent on the population.

A year ago, I remember we had several vortex posts.  Well this is a new year, but this is not a post on a Vortex.  Weather man says this is just an old fashioned cold front.  Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  Its like 12 degrees here with a good 20 MPH wind.   Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  I don't know what the difference is, its just Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cold here!   Whats your reading?
