Can't say, but at least the needle is slanted in the "right" direction, vs. the far "left". Plus Fox has better and more eye candy  And one more point, I am not alone and actually with the majority in the tv ratings! http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/06/19/cable-news-ratings-for-thursday-june-18-2015/419183/

Don't watch NBC and definitely don't watch MSNBC. Foxnews is where its at! Don't really care anything about Brian Williams!

I had my removed about 5 years ago, I had it easy. Looks like I have been shot ~3 times with a large caliber gun in the belly. No pain, no issue. Just be warned after eating a greasy meal, you have about 30 min to get to the toilet. Complications can happen. We lost someone in my church this past year who died from complications during gallbladder surgery.

I too was amazed that old fashioned video stores were still in existent. Great story! BTW, I am a proud shopper of Walmart. Never a complaint in 30 years. A few years back, I once figured they get about ~$12G from my household a year that doesn't include large purchases like TVs, grills, guns, and did I mention guns? Probably not as much money now, there is a Food City closer, but honestly I don't see much savings if any, FC vs. Walmart. That gas card gimmick sure does keep me a little more loyal to FC though, plus I like FC since they are sponser of NASCAR. I even worked at two of the Wal Mart stores when I was a teenager, the first one in Johnson City while going to college and then the original one in Sevierville. Got in trouble with the general manager for dating a fellow associate at the one in Sevierville. Back then it was against the rules. :shhh: We kept it secret though after the butt chewing! BTW, when the one opened in Johnson City back in the fall of 1987, it was the largest store built. I understand that record lasted about a month. I also understand that original store no longer exists, and would be considered very small when compared to the large super centers of today! P.S. No I didn't marry her! I would wait another 12 years to find Mrs. Runco!

Walmart strikes again, this time more serious
runco replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
Problem with walmart, they are operated by people. Every place has them, some good and some not so good. No way to avoid. I for one, trust no one with my car repairs and maintenance. I have been this way for over 25 years. -
I remembered today. I am going to watch Saving Private Ryan tonight. I want to visit Normady, and I hope I do someday.

I like Outback's Porter House, they are very consistent at every restaurant I visit.

People please! Obey the law! Very aggravated week! People just do not follow the law! Old people, young people, people in the middle.......... http://law.justia.com/codes/tennessee/2010/title-55/chapter-8/55-8-143 55-8-143. Signals for turns. (a) Every driver who intends to start, stop or turn, or partly turn from a direct line, shall first see that that movement can be made in safety, and whenever the operation of any other vehicle may be affected by such movement, shall give a signal required in this section, plainly visible to the driver of the other vehicle of the intention to make such movement. (b) The signal required in this section shall be given by means of the hand and arm, or by some mechanical or electrical device approved by the department of safety, in the manner specified in this section. Whenever the signal is given by means of the hand and arm, the driver shall indicate the intention to start, stop, or turn, or partly turn, by extending the hand and arm from and beyond the left side of the vehicle, in the following manner: (1) For left turn, or to pull to the left, the arm shall be extended in a horizontal position straight from and level with the shoulder; (2) For right turn, or pull to the right, the arm shall be extended upward; and (3) For slowing down or to stop, the arm shall be extended downward. (c) These signals shall be given continuously for a distance of at least fifty feet (50¢) before stopping, turning, partly turning, or materially altering the course of the vehicle. (d) Drivers having once given a hand, electrical or mechanical device signal, must continue the course thus indicated, unless they alter the original signal and take care that drivers of vehicles and pedestrians have seen and are aware of the change. (e) Drivers receiving a signal from another driver shall keep their vehicles under complete control and shall be able to avoid an accident resulting from a misunderstanding of the signal. (f) Drivers of vehicles, standing or stopped at the curb or edge before moving these vehicles, shall give signals of their intention to move into traffic, as provided in this section, before turning in the direction the vehicle shall proceed from the curb.

I like that battleship target, I also shoot against myself too, but I use different guns in between shots, i.e. Glock 17 vs. Sig P226; Glock 21 vs. Sig P220; Colt 1911 vs. Sig P220, etc. Its fun. My Sig P220 rules though.

Good read. I wonder if this is the same boat my dad speaks of when he went to Germany in 1960. He tells of similar experience. I will ask him.

Watched the Shootist last night with the kids, that was a good movie. Amazing his last movie was about having cancer, and in real life 3 years later he died of stomach cancer. According to Wikipeida, they suspect he might have acquired the cancer from filming in Utah downrange from a nuclear test sight. One of his movies, 91 members of cast and crew developed some form of cancer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wayne Exert from the above link: Death[edit] Although he enrolled in a cancer vaccine study in an attempt to ward off the disease,[44] Wayne died of stomach cancer on June 11, 1979, at the UCLA Medical Center, and was interred in the Pacific View Memorial Park cemetery in Corona del Mar, Newport Beach. According to his son Patrick and his grandson Matthew Muñoz, a priest in the California Diocese of Orange, he converted to Roman Catholicism shortly before his death.[58][59] He requested that his tombstone read "Feo, Fuerte y Formal", a Spanish epitaph Wayne described as meaning "ugly, strong, and dignified".[60] The grave, which went unmarked for 20 years, is now marked with a quotation from his controversial 1971 Playboy interview: "Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday."[61][62][63] Among the cast and crew who filmed the 1956 film The Conqueror on location near St. George, Utah, 91 developed some form of cancer at various times, including stars Wayne, Susan Hayward, and Agnes Moorehead, and director Dick Powell. The film was shot in southwestern Utah, east of and generally downwind from the site of recent U.S. Government nuclear weapons tests in southeastern Nevada. Many contend that radioactive fallout from these tests contaminated the film location and poisoned the film crew working there.[64][65] Despite the suggestion that Wayne's 1964 lung cancer and his 1979 stomach cancer resulted from nuclear contamination, he believed his lung cancer to have been a result of his six-packs-a-day cigarette habit.[66]

For work I have to follow the metal trades on both scrap value and raw steel. Scrap is fetching a low price, probably the lowest in 10 years. I sold a four door mercery topaz directly to a scrap yard using my trailer to haul the car and it brought roughly $0.10 lb back in 2010 (also a low year), a average car weighs around 3K lbs. Give or take, expect best scrap value to be close to that now, and I say your vehicle probably weighs slightly more. The reason scrap is at a historical low, the US dollar is a extremely high against the world currencies, has been for the past 6 mos. This is causing all U.S. exports to be very high. The U.S. exports a lot of scrap steel, but since its so expensive in foreign currencies, no one is buying. Thus making a glut of scrap steel on the U.S. market. Then good ole supply and demand principals step in.

Wow, I didn't know (consciously). Maybe subconsciously I knew, because I watched The Man Who Killed Liberty Valance 2x this weekend. Great movie. Great actor. I don't like Hollywood, but I wish they would produce another J. Wayne!

A few with carry permit, I bet the majority has theirs. My crystal ball predicts, this will be a media frenzy about conceal carry, alcohol, Texas, and how the wild wild west is back. There really is no news in the media, and they will whip it up for awhile. My father who is retired swears there is a pattern in the media, when there is no news, no real big news, the media will feed on the frenzy of any news story.

Speaking of truck nuts, seen some the other day hanging off of a Honda gold wing but miniature almost earring size, but they were metal. It was quite funny.

My diesel doesn't smoke as bad as I have seen others, but I do it when the on set of road rage is nagging me, and the focal point car/truck is behind me. It does work, but it is costly too. Diesel is high! It works better then the sudden need to clean the windshield.
