For a period of time, when I lived in a subdivision, we had a next door neighbor that was horrible. Luckily he cheated on his common law wife, and the wheels fell off. She moved to the west coast and he moved in with the other woman. I was so happy! Then I moved a few years later! How ironic.

I wonder if any concrete barriers or something similar will be erected at the front entrance to prevent this type of entry again? Also have you noticed Walmart has placed concrete barriers in front of the propane tanks that you buy? I wonder if an assessment was about customer safety vs. smash and grab. I have see this recent change at most area walmarts in my area. -
I crimped mine.

This I hope is a game changer for the west.

Remaining Govt Inventory of 1911's to be Sold to the Public?
runco replied to mootw's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
This may be a bingo, thank you very much. I do like that site and what it has to offer, and I did acquire my first Garand earlier this year. So this may work. Do you get points for referrals? -

I like Cabelas, better than BP. http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/11/05/us-cabelas-m-a-basspro-idUSKCN0SU2JY20151105#e1R8rY15XyRPuG1V.97 Privately held outdoors retailer Bass Pro Shops is exploring an offer for Cabela's Inc (CAB.N), the U.S. hunting and fishing store chain targeted by activist investor Elliott Management, people familiar with the matter said. Bass Pro is working with an investment bank on the potential offer, the people said this week. Cabela's has recently begun to explore its options and has also reached out to private equity firms to solicit interest, the people added. The sources asked not to be identified because the deliberations are confidential. Bass Pro Shops declined comment, while Cabela's did not respond to a request for comment. Shares of Sidney, Nebraska based Cabela's jumped as much as 13 percent on the news, giving it a market capitalization of around $3 billion. Last month, Elliott disclosed an 11 percent stake in Cabela's and called for it to explore strategic alternatives, including a sale to a private equity firm. Cabela's manages retail stores in the United States and Canada. The stores are known for their museum quality experience, offering taxidermy, a pond and other attractions. Cabela's also runs a credit card business, through its wholly owned subsidiary, World's Foremost Bank. Springfield, Missouri-based Bass Pro Shops was founded in the 1970s by Johnny Morris. Bass Pro has stores in the United States and Canada, as well as several in-store wild game and seafood restaurants

OP hope you don't mind to turn your well spoken OP into a grateful Veterans Day posting. THANK YOU VETERANS for all that you have done, have sacrificed, are doing, are sacrificing, and the actions you will do, and the sacrifices you will continue to make. I am safe, I am warm, and I am a free citizen of this great nation and its because of you and your stance. Again, Thank You. Now go find you a free meal today! :usa:

I DID IT! I am now a proud NRA lifer as of today. I pulled the trigger for many reasons, and chose today's date just as a small token of appreciation. NRA may have some fat cats, but they are a strong foe for lobbying my gun interests with both Federal and State level elected officials. Its time that I step up to do my part. That Glock 43 may have to wait another 6 months, an/d or that Savage 110FCP may have to wait a little longer. Look out mailbox for endless mail for years to come.

Maple trees grow fast, looks good in the fall, and give great shade. Just the roots get in the way for mowing, and those trees yield a lot of leaves to rake. If you plan to live there for a long time, I would suggest a Oak tree, if nothing more than to represent you, your wife and your future legacy. Maybe one for each of you, and kids. Oaks are as American as apple pie!

I agree 100%. Been there and done that. Never again!

anybody use Medishare or Samaritan in place of health insurance?
runco replied to seez52's topic in General Chat
I have no 1st hand experience, but a friend of a friend has this, and had a major medical issue last year, and was very impressed. https://mychristiancare.org/medi-share/ Why Medi-Share? Medi-Share is a healthcare sharing ministry where members share each other's medical expenses. Since 1993, Medi-Share members have shared and discounted more than $1.2 billion in medical bills! Choice: Members of Medi-Share have a God-honoring choice for their healthcare, and their dollars will never be used for procedures that go against their conscience. Acceptable: Although not insurance, Medi-Share members are exempt from the mandate to purchase insurance or face financial penalties. Affordable: With seven levels of sharing, you'll find flexible options to fit your family and budget, at around half the cost of other healthcare programs. Access: Use one of the largest networks of providers in the country, or choose your own provider. Community: Fellow members will be praying for and encouraging you and you'll have the opportunity to do the same. Learn more about How Medi-Share Works. -

Was this in the defense bill that was passed today? -
Is this just for cable layers? The reason, I am have seen just in past few weeks (like always), the construction jobs for new roads, the contractor has his own people directing traffic. I know one of these directing traffic guys, and he has no affiliation with law enforcement, but yet he directs traffic with his flip sign stop/caution. This is a large notable local contractor too.
