1. To me not enough price separation between the Magpul and the real deal.  If I found some at the flea market, I might try.  But I too would be interested in a good deal link with free shipping :pleased:
2. I'm not worried, more worried about the wand ;)
3. From one dad to another, congrats!
4. Friendly reminder.   Now is the time.   I get no finders fee, but we need to lock and load the NRA now!  Now is the time.  Now is the time to break open the penny jars.  If not for you, or you are already a lifter, now is the time to get that son, father, father-in-law, husband or that special woman in your life a NRA lifetime membership.
5. I always do love Ellen's (Beverly D'Angelo)'s hand.
6. This topic was recently discussed, and one that I remember.  If you come home to a situation, I would rather hold someone at bay until the law arrives with a long rifle than a handgun.  Plus, the best is what thhawk said:  I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.   Consider this from a different unrelated perspective:  Would you rather carry around a fire extinguisher, or a blanket to smother flames in your vehicle?  I carry both.  You never know if you might come upon a recent car wreck where there is a fire, and the hurt is need of help.
7. Everything is so politicized, and the media is whipping up a frenzy with everyone regardless which side one is on.
8. Based upon the criteria, budget.  Then eeny, meeny, miny, moe...............

10. Unbelievable, but I just watched, believable.  Wow!

Found this, what did you see?
12. There are two videos on Youtube , one like the OP and the other is probably the final version from a local news media with voice over from the reporter.  He is a professional exterminator, his killing of the nest, a trade secret.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCoPoqnyAdU
13. I also agree with TGODavid, however I also rely and respect Military and LEO decisions on sidearm selections.  Who am I to say what is a good gun, let the U.S. military test and use, let the LEO test and use, let other government agencies test and use, and then I will ride their coat tails.    When I was a young whipper snapper with handguns, I use to go with which ever way the wind blows.  Then I finally realized that military, LEO, and other agencies really do test hard what is there, and its not solely lowest bid guys (its a combo I know) that they go with.  Even though I may never encounter the environmental conditions or the torture use of these handguns like in government tests and like this video from the OP, but one may never know.  So for close to 20+ years now, I stay with the main stream government guns (Sig, Glock, Beretta).  I have not ventured into S&W, but likely will someday.  I did venture into 1911 some, just to see if I like it.    Will I ever buy a VP9, cosmetically I think they are appealing, but likely will wait until several agencies are using these as their sidearm.  But that is just me, and I am a weird gun nut.
14. I actually did hear that Harbor Freight one will do the trick for playing around and basic stuff.  Its cheap though.
15. I too think the ammo limit is resonating.  Heck if they limit you to one box per day, I guess I will buy 1 box per day, 365 times a year.  Shhhh! I really don't need any.  (more I should say).
16. I live under a rock, is there something else other than 10mm?  ;)
17. I would recommend a used H&R, or a new Heritage.
18. Excellent!
19. Money played the biggest role with us, and politics did not.
20. I think TGO David is using it, or what Ralphie would have used if he was a boy now in the AR age.
21. So far there are two downsides, 1.) I live in the woods and critters do to, so some false alarms, but I anticipated that so the reason I have two sensors.  Mine may not be mounted high enough to avoid the critters.  2.) Battery replacement is not easy, you must use a screwdriver and remove from the mount.  So far I have not had to replace the batteries, but when I do, it will be a pain.
22. I'm with you.  Though I believe a Repbulican will make it to the wh next, but OS has a way to cast doubt on my political thinking.
23. Bookmarked for later re-read.  Also any updates OP?
24. Bookmarking to read later today.   I am updating my forestry plan for my homestead (seriously).
25. I can't help.  I didn't know they were that expensive @ $145.   http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/metal-prep-coloring/polishing-tools-accessories/barrel-spinners/barrel-spinner-prod5044.aspx
