Threads like this are dangerous. They are seeds that will yield fruit with gun nuts like me.

Lets see: Sig P229, Glock 22, & Glock 23. I don't dislike the round, it will do the job if needed, and if its good enough for LEO, its good enough for me. Between the guns, the Sig by far, but I usually carry the 23 and the 22 is not too far from me from time to time.

Let you in on a secret: Government is great at creating problems so Government can grow larger to solve problems. -

Roving ATF storm troopers at the shows watching for transfers w/o 4473. I honestly don't think its about the enforcement, but rather showing the public BHO & the democrat party did something...........enforcement is a different matter which BHO doesn't care about. -

In my view, its nothing more than a check mark pandering to the political base while trying to pull in the fence riders. While congress and the courts sort out the signature, we the people elect a new president. If another D gets in, the sorting will continue with momentum to carry on with the EO, but if a R gets in, well we can only hope a EO to end a EO will occur not soon after the swearing in. In the meantime our little world remains muddy and the polarization of the public continues with a exponential factor. -
I remember when I was a FFL mid 90s, I either sold some Star 1911 or some Norinco 1911, are there any difference, or one the same. I recall they were in the upper $200 or mid $300 then. I recall thinking to myself then who want these commy guns.

   Gotcha! Flashbacks from this same weekend in late 2012 early 2013. This was right after Sandyhook and in the middle of the day on a Friday, it was another 3 day weekend gunshow. I actually went through the line for reloading supplies, got maybe 50% of what I went after, and spent maybe $1000 on reloading supplies only from David.

Whats up with the lines?

Here is a screen shot from GB, appears to be at the market price based upon the bids:

I wouldn't care to go since I have not been maybe 18mos or more. I think this one is the three day weekend one, which if I remember correctly the gate money is higher than normal? This could be historic though, may be the last time you can buy from Bubba without a 4473! You know the guy, who is always selling his personal collection, the one that always asking what are you carrying, and lows ball you or simply gives it back without asking anything else. He is always there with a buddy or two.

NRA Lifetime on FB from time to time posts some interesting information. This one posted a moments ago states this one source says the EO will include the same play from the Veterans Administration regarding if the elderly that cannot managed their own affairs will have their guns confiscated, but this time instead of a Veteran, a Social Security recipient! Wow!!! Source: http://www.redflagnews.com/headlines-2015/confiscation-is-coming-obama-to-issue-executive-order-targeting-42-million-retirees-with-massive-gun-ban Save you from clicking: -

I wonder about people selling on Armslist and sites like TGO, will they fall under the EO? Example, could federal prosecution prove that IP address 123.... listed X number of guns within Y period of time, hence qualifies as a gun dealer which is under the jurisdiction of the EO? -
Gun Auction, Monroe County Sheriffs Dept Feb 13th 10am
runco replied to runco's topic in Events and Gatherings
The last one I went to was in McMinn county a few years back, I assumed some of these firearms people previously owned, but could not prove ownership due to theft or was a confiscated heirloom..............hence why I saw some prices 2x and 3x what one could buy at walmart or if discontinued on GB. I did see a NEF 12 ga single shot fetch $225+10% buyers premium+9.75% sales tax + $10 Tics = $281 and some change OTD. That had to be a heirloom or a daddy's gun, or had to be some of the most ignorant gun people around. There were some Raven 25 that fetched similar pricing too. Some of the nicer and high end guns were very close to a deal, but the extra charges made them less attractive. -
Anyone else worried about attacks during Star Wars premier?

No not really, the force was with everyone. -
What new guns for yourself (new or used) will you seek in 2016. As for me, one of these will be pulled from my top pool of wishes: Glock 43, Colt AR Socom or a Savage 10/110 FCP HS Precision in 308 or 300 Win Mag. An honorable mention may be a Sig P320 in 45ACP or 357Sig or if I have $1500 just sitting around, the Dan Wesson Valor or Specialist. It may be later in the year before I can score.

Happy New Year everyone. May God bless your home and mine.

I highly likely can't go, but will try if I can. Appears to be some good pieces! But be warned my friend, anytime the general public goes to a gun auction, its crazy bidding + house charge + tax + tics, and not sure if the FFL transfer charges a fee! My final bump. Last day! I do kinda liken us NRA supportors to this comparable song by George Jones: Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes By George Jones You know this old world is full of singers But just a few are chosen To tear your heart out when they sing Imagine life without them All your, radio heroes Like the outlaw that walks through Jesse's dream No, there will never be another Red-headed stranger A Man in Black and Folsom Prison Blues The Okie from Muskogee Or Hello Darling Lord I wonder, who's gonna fill their shoes [Chorus] Who's gonna fill their shoes Who's gonna stand that tall Who's gonna play the Opry And the Wabash Cannonball Who's gonna give their heart and soul To get to me and you Lord I wonder, who's gonna fill their shoes God bless the boys from Memphis Blue Suede Shoes and Elvis Much too soon he left this world in tears They tore up the Fifties Old Jerry Lee and Charlie And old Go Cat Go still echoes through the years You know the heart of country music Still beats in Luke the Drifter You can tell when hew sings I Saw the Light Old Marty, Hank and Lefty Why I can feel them right here with me On this Silver Eagle rolling through the night [Chorus] Who's gonna fill their shoes Who's gonna stand that tall Who's gonna play the Opry And the Wabash Cannonball Who's gonna give their heart and soul To get to me and you Lord I wonder, who's gonna fill their shoes Yes I wonder, who's gonna fill their shoes?

Let me qualify my statement, I have not owned or shot the Ruger SR9C. However, for over 25+ years now, I have only pursued, owned, and carried proven in the field handguns that were proven by LEO, Federal Agencies and the military. Not throwing mud whatsoever towards Ruger, but for "me" unless Ruger has made inroads into these agencies its not for me for personal protection! Now I would own one, but not for edc. So based upon my statement, you know what I would recommend! Now let the flogging begin!
