  1. I want to see more of the direct arguing!!!! Go Romney. Kick A.....
  2. My 21a use to give me problems, but I recently took it to the range and shot 20 year old cheap federal ammo without a problem. I did grease the heck out of the gun before shooting. This was my 2nd handgun that I have ever purchased some 20 years ago.
  3. I thought about this a few months ago. I believe there will be riots if R&R wins. Likely the worse we have ever seen.

    Boat help

There is no title for a boat. You can have a title for the trailer, but not the boat. All you need is the registration and a bill of sale. Then you have so many days to transfer the ownership to your name through the local courthouse and pay the fees. I do not think you need a title of the trailer unless you going to travel out of state, but I can not remember that. BTW remember BOAT stands for break out another thousand. Enjoy.
  5. Wal-Mart value packs (100 rounds) Federal is $29.96= same price as above on a per round basis. The problem is that Walmart normally sells out fast once they have them in stock.
  6. I have wanted to do that, but thought 22lr bullet would get hung up on the lip (if there is a lip).
  7. I recommend this site, at least to point you in the right direction: http://gun-deals.com/ Once there, Then click in the upper left corner on Ammo, then select the caliber(s) you want, then you will see a page with many many prices/ammo/retailers. Look at the cost per round by the ammo type. Its been quiet accurate for me. It also helps me to determine if the 45 ammo at Walmart is reasonable. Enjoy.
  8. This older post did not address exactly what I was looking for. Is it allowable or tolerable etiquette to pick up brass that is not yours even if its on the floor without violating the line of fire? At my local range the other day, I was the only person on the range, and the brass was quite plentiful like walking on peanut shells at a western style resturant.
  9. That neck makes me think about the Christmas dinner in the move Christmas Story @ the Chinese resturant. I think I must have Christmas on my mind this morning. I am trying to think of my Christmas list to give to my wife for me....
  10. Spolier alert: I had a play date with my Sig P220, P228, and a recently acquired Sig P6. Well I shot about 100 rounds through the P220 first. Then I shot the P228 or so I thought. Had a very low recoil shot and a stove pipe in my P228. Then I removed and shot again, same thing again. Upon closer review, I did not have my P228, I had my P229. I had removed the mag at the house, as to not shoot my Hornady's home defence loads, grabbed the P228 mags loaded with 9mm FMJ. Well, a 9mm will shoot in 40 caliber. What an idiot I was. This did teach me that I need some type of system to make sure this does not happen again!
  11. You guys are all wrong, here is the source (its an eye from the satallite): http://
  12. I have noticed some people selling high capacity magazines. I do not know if they remain on ebay the full time or not. I wander if they have a ebay police software that scours the site looking for key words so as to remove?
  13. Let's see who are the intellectuals or just the folks full of wisdom. You care to to guess what this is.....(I will answer after a few posts if no one gets it, I suspect it will not take long). http://
  14. This site explains a little: http://www.ecommercebytes.com/cab/abn/y12/m06/i01/s02
  15. My 7 and 8 year old boys are on Fall Break this week. I took off as well. Just one of those stay at home type vacations. Anyway my 71 year old Dad, my two boys + my 3 year old boy and I went squirrel hunting yesterday on my uncle's large farm. I usually try to rotate guns, and decided to take my Remington 522 Viper 22 semi-auto in perfect condition and one Daisy lever action BB gun that has seen its better day. Anyway about an hour into our adventure we only saw one Squirrel. I don't know if this year's crop was low, or that 8 year old, 7 year old and 3 year old are not that quiet in the woods. Anyhow, there was this beautiful Walnut Tree infested with Walnuts. Shot at a couple, and nothing. The old man said the iron sights were off, after we zeroed the sights in using paper towels and electrical tape (didn't bring any paper targets, that is all I had in the truck), and one pocket leatherman to use as screwdrivers, we then got down to business. I guess we emptied some 300 rounds and dropped as many if not more walnuts. Many were in clusters, and if you hit the limb right above, you will get 2 or 3 walnuts for the price of one. Many walnuts will explode if you hit them just right. What fun! Even the old daisy managed to take one down. BTW my boys were quite smart, I tried to get them to collect the walnuts while I shot them off the tree. They both said the walnuts would hurt if they fell on their head (lol). You sure can make it rain walnuts with a semi auto when its lined up. I don't know if there is a bag limit, don't know if it was out of season, but we sure did have a blast. Using a semi-auto is sure cheap country boy fun! Making memories with my boys.
  16. Lets see, I have found a BB gun under a log. I have found a wallet (Kids wallet, no id, no money, just school pictures), necklace of a 1/2 dollar, abaondoned Toyota 4x4, junk, cans, bottles, rusty old cheap pocket knife, and probably more. I just can not remember.
  17. The typcial taxpayer of Chicago, see below!!! (yea right). Do you reckon these boys will actually contribute to the gun tax revenue stream? No, honest people will, and then these nice boyscouts will simply take from these folks during breakins, robberies, etc. Way to go Chicago!!! Set the example for America to follow!!!! http://
  18. Kids on fall break this week. We were in Atlanta yesterday. We have young kids, so we went to the Coke musuem and the kids musuem. The wife had to do IKEA. Day trip only. I was going to stop by Adventure Outdoors on the way back (supposedly largest gun store in Georgia), but traffic was bumper to bumper on i75 around 4pm yesterday, we decided not too. I like my humble little town in East Tennesee. Two red lights and two patrol cars. A hardees, general dollar and no walmart. Life is great.
  19. Pre HCP, I use to carry a stinger pistol in my front shirt pocket in both public and work! I was in my mid 20s, stupid and arrogant. It was a thrill thing. Post HCP, my first carry was at Kroger with my Beretta 92FS and like others, I thought everyone was looking at me. But I did have a sense I was better equipped for both personal protection and what if someone tried to hold up Krogers, what would I do. That was 15+ years ago. Now, its no different than carrying my trusty little case peanut knife. Its a tool at my fingertips nothing more. In case you do not know what a stinger is (I still wish I still had one): http://
  20. Having been on both sides of the fence in this issue, I do not why people (wrong doers) expend enormous amount of energy to make sure they are treated fair as if they are the victim if they have to pay to fix or compensate someone who they damaged the property of. It’s funny how these same people know who are the low ball body shops in town or in the next town. Or they know someone like their uncle's neighbors kid who is in the local high school's vocational auto body shop, who knows how to fix cars. To me that is just the wrong approach. The wrong doer should make the situation right to the property owner's satisfaction. Not only should the wrongdoer fairly compensate the property owner using reputable shops, they should ask who the property owner who they want to use to repair the vehicle, and should add additional compensation just for the headache and inconvenience. Maybe a $100 dinner gift certificate or something. Finally, if the property owner does not want to make the repairs, that is their choice. When you wrong someone, just make it right. Set examples, raise the bar. Just my 2 cents.
  21. Panhandling like this on a street corner is easily stopped. It really is. Just stop the giving!
  22. I am still waiting on the gun market to stabilize from the election of 1992 (lol). Used gun prices appear to be more susceptible to price run up, but I suppose that is brought on by private individuals marketing spins. New gun prices appear to me to be stable, the general public is causing a run on certain select models, but I have not really seen any price jumps due to more demand less supply. I have seen inflation hit guns in some cases, but not price & demand pincipals. This is un-related, but a 50 year old co-worker of mine who just a few years ago, said he would never have a firearm inside his house, just to darn dangerous and just doesn't understand the gun mentality (he is a lefty), just last week asked me my opinion about a few firearms he is considering to purchase. When I asked why the change of mind, he was fearful that if O gets re-elected, guns will become more difficult. Might be a good investment, etc. so I know there is some stirring going on, but I know of no federal pending legislation, and as long has one of the houses stays dominate with republican members, there is no real fear. Seriously, just research gun prices via both gun books, websites, etc. before plunging. Be well informed, and negotiate. My personal goal is to buy way south of the typical market price. I study all gun prices, just to keep informed. Now with internet phones, that study is old school. Just remember there is a significant difference between asking price and purchase price.
  23. Thanks for the debunking. How about this idea then: http://
  24. In my view, the value of a vehicle has nothing to do with the cost of the repair. Insurance compaies have spoiled us in that thinking. If the cost to repair is greater than 50% of the residual value, then they total the vehicle and write us a check for what the vehicle costs. I see that is you position. However, to do this right, either repair the vehicle to the owner's satisfaction, or replace the vehicle with a similiar vehicle to the owner's satisfaction. You were the wrong doer, now just make it right to the owner's satisfaction.
  25. Consider an alternative acceptable solution. Imagine IF several more theater type situations happened, a couple more college campus massacres, and what if someone got a high capacity firearm into a football stadium jam packed, all within a short period of time, i.e. 1-2 years, the public will see past the 2nd amendment, and will want something done now. Then imagine a law being passed stating that the public has 1 year to turn in all weapons to some type of weapons dump, like when they setup to take household chemicals at the local strip mall parking lot, like when they ask for the public to turn in unused medications, like when you drop off your Christmas tree for recycle. Then like I said in the earlier post, the ones that do not turn in guns, you may or may not get caught. But the consequences of being in possession of any firearm will simply be met with severe punishment. Then the hold outs will not be able to fire the guns, will not be able to use in self-defense, and cannot even share with a neighbor/friend they have one. What if the law provides $10,000 for the information of and conviction of any person who may be in possession. Then this will cause brothers, cousins, neighbors, wives, sons, daughters, grandmas, and etc. to rat out the hold outs. Then what will be the point to be hold out! I recall recently shortly after the Colorado theater massacre, I overheard several people on different occasions at work talking about guns in general. Most people I know don't know that I am a gun nut, so I just listened. These are some to the comments: Why is it so easy to buy a gun, why must gun freaks need more than 4-5 shots anyway. Why can't a hunting gun be the only legal gun to own. They should just ban guns period. My conclusion, the general public are ripe for major change in gun purchases/ownership, it will not take much more to push our society over the edge to make changes.
