Inside Waist Band Carry uncomfortable.
runco replied to Jesse's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
My crossbreed super tuck with full size sigs is very comfortable. I carry it in the 4 to 5 o'clock position. However I don't carry a rear wallet, but rather a money clip in the front. I am a big ole boy, don't know if the extra stuffing helps too. -
I wasn't that too impressed with the show. A few vendors said this was a dead show. I was there around 2-4pm. Didn't find anything on my laundry list, bad deal or good.

I did not know that. Wow, I have voided the wild cat calibers due to this. That shows what I know. Thank you!!!!

What do you mean? Choice of caliber, or the TWRA thingy

I'm surprised I beat OS to this posting, anyway enjoy: http://

Not all conservative presidents get a true conservative judge, and visa versa for librel presidents, they too do not get a true librel judge. I wouldn't read too much into this though.

Any caliber gun I believe 243 (TWRA requiement) or higher will be okay. Cheap military rifles and Handi type rifles are likely the best for budget minded people and for people who may go hunting once or twice in 10 years. Many times you can find a lever action 30/30 at a flea or yard sale in the $150-$250 range. Likely not on any forum or gun list type posting.

Someone said just run a back ground check on both, and be done. The background check alone does not relieve the legal transaction burden on the FFL. The FFL has to consider other factors before authorizing the transaction, i.e. obvious 4473 response, buyer appearance (under the influence, odd behavior, harmful oral statements), and is this a straw or not. As a former FFL dealer myself, the shear hint of a might be straw, I would kill the sale period. Even if was an accidential comment or error made by the would be buyer. Obviously the hint of a straw is very subjective, and will never be solved in a black & white world and especially on a gun board. I would imagine greedy and/or ignorant FFL can be blind and deaf coupled with clear background check, and a correct answer 4473, can make the transcation. "I" wasn't one of those FFL, and this ethical Wal-Mart associate was not either. I guess that is why I am sort of passionate on this posting. I guess if you are denied a sale at Wal-Mart or any other FFL, just puff up, never shop there again, and post on a gun forum your frustrations. This way it gives people like me and others a chance to type responses either for or against, or just read as a lurker. Otherwise, we just have to post pictures of our kittens/cats which was kinda of fun.

This is 20 years ago, but ATF sent me a book that I had to read about regarding many examples of straw purchases, and I recall that if I had a reason or suspicion of a straw, I must refuse the sell. While I was in business, I do not know if I was tested by ATF or there are just dump stupid people, but I recall several blantant straw attemps and subtle attempts. I once saw a guy give another man some cash, and the man came in to the counter, pointed to a certain gun, and said he would take it. He didn't even touch the gun. I refused the sale, and got into an argument. Another time, the man told his wife in front me that he wanted a particular gun, but told her to complete the 4473, I had to ask why, he didn't say anything, but she ratted him out, that he was prohibited from owning guns, well I had to stop that one. Another time, an elderly man and young man came in, the elderly man clearly stated he wanted a particular gun, but the young man started completing the 4473, and never did ask the elderly man any of the silly questions, well I refused that one too, but later they came back with a power of attorney document that had been notarized for the young man, and this time I allowed the sale. I can rattle off many more. The risk and reward in the gun business is not worth the risk (fines, lose of license, and possible jail time) over a $40 to $100 profit transaction. When in doubt lose the sale, and stay open.

One business day is reasonable. I know for me, I arrived just as the ups man did, and my gun dealer recorded in his bound book as I completed the 4473. My dealer had it in his possession less than 10 min. You can always push reasonably, especially if the transfer fee is high.

When I was a FFL I had a legal obligation to prohibit a straw sell, but had no obligation to report it.

The walmart employee was not stupid and has a legal obligation if he thought it was straw. From the gest of the womans story, it sure smelled of a straw purchase to me. Good job walmart employee, the world needs more of you. Thank you for doing your job!!!

Honorable mention Flag Pond, Pittman Center, Surgoinsville, St. Claire, just to come to mind. I know Pittman Center has no gas station, or dollar general, no traffic lights, no bank, and my kin are dying out, so not much backwoods left in Pittman.

Back in October 1993, I was at the gun show in Knoxville and contemplating buying my first AR, but I couldn't shell out $714.00. 3 days later, the assult weapons bill was passed, we thought it wouldn't go through. The very next weekend there was a gun show in Kingsport. I drove to Kingsport to buy an AR. The same gun dealer, had turned the 7 into a 9 on the price tag, I did not hesitate and bought 3. He sold out by lunch that day, he said he sold over 30 ARs that day. A few years later, I sold all three of mine +$500 each. I am afraid if a new ban happens this time, as a lessons learned, they will weasel some type of law veribage about not being able to re-sell an assult weapon, thus taking away us opportunists. I have been thinking about buying a couple of ARs, and that Sig is whispering to me each time I buy a gallon of milk at Walmart. Buy me, take me home, buy me, take me home, i need love, i need TLC.

Question, does early voting results get counted along with the main voting results? The reason I ask, I didn't know this until the 2000 election, that absentism voting does not get counted unless it is absolutely necessary, i.e. if the election is too close with the regular results, they go to the absentism results. I recall this is way to save money. Can anyone shed any light on either of my points, thanks.

I use to think Sneedville was until I visited these towns mentioned above. BTW I had to read the title of this post twice, becuase I was going to list Tuscaloosa, AL, but the thread states TN. Oh, well....

I still laugh when someone mentions an assault weapon. What is an assault weapon? Mechanically speaking and balistically speaking what is the difference between an assault weapon and a Remington 7400 hunting rifle, other than cosmetics and the magazine quantity. I personally believe the old trusty hunting rifle 7400 has a whole lot more fire power than a AR15 on a balistic basis.

I am a very active member in my Baptist church, these baptists do not represent me or my congregration. They should focus their energy on the great commission to up lift the kingdom, not by distorting and warping the church.

You want to solve the illegal aliens, cut off the money. Pass a law that is both continuous and one time, to work in the U.S. you must have a legal state issued birth certificate, both for new employees and existing. Heck my kids must show a notarized birth cerficate to play baseball, why not for work.
