Great comparision, like it.

It simply depends on what you want. Every "glocker" as Steelharp suggested needs a 17 somewhere in the pile. However, if you are seeking a CCW, the 19 works great whick you already have, but the 35 probably is a little bit of a challenge. Then maybe you should try the 23.

All right, I give up, and need some help. I recently acquired my 3rd Glock, a 21 Gen 2 earlier this week, and simply stated, I cannot for the life of me, disassemble this gun like my other Glocks in a quick pain free manner. I have had a 17 for close to 20 years, and I have a 22 (all gen 2s). Anyway, I am no novice to field stripping Glocks, but this is my first 21. I have no trouble with my other Gs. Is the recoil spring that much stiffer and that is my problem? Do I have a QC concern? Or am I just a wimp, too accustomed to the Sigs. Any suggestions. It appears to be 100% OEM. I have been able to disassemble it, after 10 minutes of a struggle, and my finger and thumb hurts afterwards! Please help.

Its that time again, reminder to enter Sig Sauer's sweepstakes. This month is a 1911 POW-MIA pistol. I actually seen one of these earlier in the week at a Pawn Shop in Maryville. http://www.sigsauer.com/TeamSig/Sweepstakes.aspx

Maybe that is me! What if you have so many guns, you can not take a crap because you can not find the toliet seat?

Congratulations, and THANK YOU for sharing this great honor with us!

Guys thanks for your comments. I for one have no real fear about the fingerprints, just curious if anyone does or has ever just simply thought about this. I just never have met somone like I knew 20 years ago (before wifee), and this gal would not even touch a gun for that fear. Don't know how she got spooked.

Ben and Dana, I pray the Lord will bless your relationship and that His will be done. Amen.

My 7 year old son had something similiar, but not as nearly bad though. He came home from school, nurse had sent a note, likely a sprang. I told him to suck it up, rub dirt on it, and move on. Bless his heart, he tried. 2 days later, swelling, and a mild complaint of pain, we took him to the doctor, and he had mild a breakage in the same area as your son's arm. I felt really really bad. Hope your son heals quickly.

I believe guns are tools. Example, I have a large array of mechanical tools for just about anything imagineable that needs fixed for the shade tree mechanic and home owner, probably a little obessive and over the top, but nonetheless a large array of tools. Spent years buying top name tools from ebay when the price was right. Am I a hoarder of craftsman tools, no, but I am prepared for the what if (hate to borrow any tool from anyone). My guns are similiar, I have an array of guns for different situations, from simple plinking into aluminum cans, precision benchrest, to sporting clays, to squirrel hunting, deer hunting, bear hunting, home protection, CCW, CCW for winter, CCW for summer, CCW for formal occasions, and then there are the collectibles, oh by the way the handme downs too. I don't consider myself a hoarder, do you? Maybe on 2nd thoughts, maybe I need intervention. Could someone send me to Exeter, NH for intervention for maybe 2 or 3 weeks, I hear there is a good place there.

That is of course one of those special Georgia state Deers that were released last year. They all have been branded with Georgia state shape.

Are you self conscious when you handle someone else's gun say at a gun shop, gun show, parking lot, Armslist meeting, etc. that you are leaving your fingerprints. Assuming of couse you do not end up acquiring the item? Many years ago, I had a girl friend who was very conscious about this with my own guns, and would never handle my guns due to this reason. That got me thinking, could I innocently be looking at someone's weapon, and then days/weeks later the weapon is used in a crime, and the weapon was recovered, and my prints were discovered on the gun? Though I could highly likely explain this happenstance situation, but the anguish, grief and worry it would cause from an innocent encounter, would be tremendous. I for one still handle guns, but just wandered if someone thought like this?

The Sig P6/P225 has been the most comfortable handgun I have held. Have I held all handguns, no, but I have held many.

Dear Santa, I want a Colt 6920, Sig M400, Sig 938, Glock 21, and ammo, ammo, and more ammo. I would take some night sights in my stockings. But Santa I am afraid with the election, run up on guns in general, and just the alignment of the stars, this may not happen, if not, then just bring me socks and underwear like every year. Runco Seriously, was reading my daily dose of Truth About Guns today, and this article caught my attention. If you are expecting Santa Claus to bring you something speical (gun related!), better tell him (her) to buy and hide it in your closet now, or it just might not make it under the tree this year. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/10/foghorn/tip-of-the-day-do-your-christmas-shopping-now-like-right-now/#more-166047 Exert (Nick Leghorn wrote) I’ve got a number of friends who work in the firearms business as distributors. They’ve been at it for a while, and they usually give me a heads up whenever they see trends developing. One of those friends just gave me a heads-up about something he’s seeing that might make you reconsider doing your shopping at the last minute . . . The holiday season is the busiest time of the year for everyone in retail sales. From Prada dresses to Taurus handguns, anyone who sells something expects to be in the black for November and December even if the rest of the year’s been a downer. Even when the economy is in the crapper, those two months account for a ridiculous percentage of the year’s sales. Usually there’s a little slack in the distribution system for firearms. The factories tend to have a little bit of product on hand, ready to go even after the distributors have had their fill. But around Christmas, distributors tend to up their orders in anticipation of the coming buying bonanza and take out most of that slack. Kind of like what happened to Ruger early last year when they stopped taking new orders. That’s during a relatively quiet year. Add in the coming presidential election and the current trend in firearms, and you’d better believe that the orders are going to be bigger than ever. At least, that’s the prediction from my guy. And what that means for consumers is that there isn’t going to be much left for your local gun store to re-stock once they’ve chugged through their inventory. So the advice I’m getting, and passing on to you, is to do your firearms-related holiday shopping now. Get it out of the way, stash it in the closet and laugh maniacally when the ready reserve of guns and equipment runs low and prices start to climb. The fates are conspiring to make this one of the most gunpowder filled holiday seasons ever, and while that’s good for us gun owners (growing the popularity of guns and all) it isn’t so much for our pocket books.

Sadly, I went and paid $8. NEVER AGAIN! What a waste.

I have to take one apart soon, hope there is a video on you tube or something. Dad bought one that has been stripped of the bluing, looks stainless at a distance, but is not. I am going to redo with gunkote or something (blue though).

Other than coastal flooding, what is the big deal. Isn't this just like a major Noreaster?

Finally made it to the range with my G32 (357 sig)
runco replied to dieewigeteufel's topic in Handguns
After reading TGO a few months ago about the 357Sig, had to go buy a barrel for my Sig P229 (thanks a lot guys). All that I can say is WOW, and dang gone, I have another ammo platform to maintain besides the big 3, 9mm, 40S&W and 45auto, now the 357Sig is part of the club. Could the 10mm be next? To bad Sigs don't have OEM 10mm, I guess I have to try the G20. -
We are seriously considering dropping dish, we watch tv alot, but after conducting my on study, we watch ~80% programing from local channels, so why pay the money for something free. Anyway, wife called Dish on Saturday, just to see when our contract runs out, we have 4 days left. The guy on the phone offered $10 reduction without any further commitment or package change. Just simply like that, $120 savings (year) by making a phone call. We likely we still drop dish though in 2 weeks, wow that is $900 per year savings, I am already thinking about a new gun with that new windfall (psst. don't tell the wife), I think she has other plans.

I was going to early vote, but my 7 year old son asked me if he could vote too. I told him no, and he then said he wanted to go with me to vote. This was too cool of a request, so I am going to vote on Tuesday November 6th and I am going to take him to the booth to show him how to vote! I could have still taken him to early vote, but I want him to see the process on the day of the national vote.

Now thats funny I don't care who you are!

When I was a teenager and into my early 20s, always dreaded two statements: "..we can be just friends", and the dreaded "...that was quick!".
