This is my receipe to listing on Craigslist: First, I tell them in my ad, contact me only by email. Me personally, I dislike calling sellers first. Those that list that way, its rare that I respond to. I just don't like it. For round 1 and round 2, I just like emails, not the phone call stuff. Second, if the would be buyer has a yahoo, or google email account, you must ask something very speicific about the item in the email, if not specific, I will not respond. My experience there are just people who play games, lead you on, just for the fun it. 99.9% of the time they have a yahoo or google email account. They have no intention of buying, just gaming you. After a few volley's of email, then I will share my number with them. Then I use my own judgment on certain email responses, do they have good faith intentions, or is this just a game. Sometimes its just worthy to delete and move on. This has worked well for me. I sell about 1 or 2 times a month. No bad experiences in over 3+ years. Just be vigilant.

If she is a 10, and you want a 2nd date, don't carry. If she is around a 5, flip a coin to carry or don't carry. If she is a dawg ugly, carry two.

Suggestions on home defense shotguns
runco replied to jwinter's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Take $200 and find a used 500 or 870. Honest preference is where you like the safety selector. There is really nothing more to it than that really. You can spend more or get a little more sophisticated with more money, but these will fit the bill nicely. Ummm...No
Ummm...why no -
Suggestions on home defense shotguns
runco replied to jwinter's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Cosmetics aside, I think any shotgun with 3+ more shots will do. I personally believe the best home defense is a shotgun. I believe if you have your adrenaline pumping, holding a pistol accurately will be a challenge, whereas a shotgun just point in the general direction, and no accuracy is required. Assuming the action (pump/auto) is life dependent reliable. -
Got to get my mind off of the election for a bit, so
runco replied to G27ATT's topic in General Chat
Now panters are a different story. Those hunting cameras are not quick enough to catch them or the lighting is too dark. Seriously, I seen something once on a coon hunt that sure did look like large solid black dog, but its tail was sure like those large cats on TV, and how it leeped with grace over the fence row vs. through or under like most dogs do is what convinced me that it was something other than a dog. My grandfather use to work for the Park Service and he sure did tell of multiple stories of seeing panters. -

One more point, I am 6'1" 300lb maybe more like 315lbs, I sure eat a lot of vittles each day. I am sure a 8ft or 10ft upright mammal weighing 300-500lbs, would eat more than me. What is his diet, berries and nuts, I don't think so. Does he fish in rivers like bears do? Does he hunt deer, bears, other animals? Maybe there is Big Foot, but there must be at least two, or the one would die and be extinct. -

I use to, but with these hunting cameras that hunters use in the woods now, why are there no pictures showing bigfoot. Also, why hasn't any skeletons/skulls ever been found? No car vs. big foot mishaps. -
Turkey Fryers ... Outdoor Oil/Propane vs Inside Electric
runco replied to xRUSTYx's topic in General Chat
Funny this topic has came up, I talked to co-worker about this same thing today in the lunch line at work. For probably for 6-7 years, I deep fried turkeys with propane in the driveway at both Thanksgiving and Christmas, and sometimes due to great deals on Turkeys. I think if you inject with creole butter and deep fry, they are the best. I always keep my old oil after filter, and actually still have 10 gallons to this day. However, I retired from the deep fry a few years ago. I absolutely have been safe, went out of my way to be safe, but yet I have had several near accidents, that could have been bad. Plus, my young children are more mobile and want to follow daddy around. I actually had a stray dog once came by once, and almost tipped the thing over. Rain can cause problems. Sometimes miss judging the amount of oil vs. the size of the turkey can be a dangerous problem. Accidently dropping the turkey into the bath, can be serious stuff. Never let it rise greater than 350 degrees. I once accidently let it rise to 450, and wow that oil will burn on the open flame when it boils over the top, and it will. I am sure there are a few more near misses I am missing. The risk and reward is no longer there for me. The trusty old fashioned oven baked is what I have returned to. Just be careful. Definitely propane outside. -
That was way to cool.

I could have easily went with other brands, nothing against those, I understand this group may have started these type IWB holsters, and has many great reviews. What pushed me over the edge, when I saw the crosses and the founder's testimony, I had to have it. I think its quite honorable to state your Christian testimony on any commerical product, and be successful. Rest in peace Mark Craighead, thank you for your product.
Ill go ahead and say crossbreed supertuck. There will be more in here shortly to back me up on that. They are a little pricey and take a few weeks to get in (made to order). But its by far the most comfortable iwb holster ive ever used. I carry my ruger sr9c in one.
What he said, I carry full size Sigs in mine, love it!

I would think that a reptuable honorable and educated person with money who submits the gun for verification, and the gun is determined stolen, can spend the resources and prove this is a violation of the 4th, and likely win or never see the inside of a courtroom due to crafty lawyer negotiations, and will recover the gun. However, the resources to prove the 4th violation in both time and money as compared to the value of the weapon, may be a critical decision point. On the other hand, the less educated person with no money, who wants the least path of resistance with LEO, and submits the gun for verification, and like the above, determined stolen, will likely surrender it with no hassle, and pay the fine/time. I would assume statisiclaly speaking that the majority of traffic stops are for common rift raft, and likely would follow my 2nd version premise. LEO knows this. My 2 cents.

I have always liked Cosby. Lot of my kin are from Pittman Center and little Copeland, just a few hollars over. A few of my kin use to be in the liquid transportation business that originated in Cosby many many years ago. Welcome to TGO!

Seal Team Six, National Geographic Movie, Are you Going to Watch
runco replied to runco's topic in General Chat
again I ask what difference does it make about some TV ratings. Does you watching or me not watching add to the vote total? Don't watch certain channels? LMAO. yeah last time I looked watching MTV added two voted to Obamas TN vote total. Are you freaking kidding me? Oh and as much as I might want too, I won't watch this before Tuesday, but afterwards it will be OK. You all are killing me
LOL, for each his own. -
Seal Team Six, National Geographic Movie, Are you Going to Watch
runco replied to runco's topic in General Chat
I am a die hard Fox News Channel follower, they do not speak for me, but its rare for their opinion and my opinion to be a mismatch. So here is bascially my reasons for not watching, again I agree with Fox: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2012/10/26/operation-security-to-air-anti-obama-ads-during-eal-team-six-broadcast/ -
Seal Team Six, National Geographic Movie, Are you Going to Watch
runco replied to runco's topic in General Chat
I for one do not want to add to ratings whatsoever that I do not belive in. CNN, MSNBC, MTV, etc. are blocked in my favorites, so I do not ever turn to those channels. I am dead serious! I do not DVR, and I have no interest whatsoever to watch this episode before the election, only after the election, just as a point in principal. National Geographic will it aire it later, watch and see. -
For measuring good deals on ammo prices, I use this web site quite often: http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=9mm+Luger You have to be very conscious about the type of casing, primer, and corrosiveness, and then I look at the cost per round to the 3rd decimal point. I use this information either to buy from the internet or to buy locally. The site is good for other products as well. I think this is the same site that led me to those $289 Glock 22s Gen 2 with 3 mags from a reputable business that I posted last week about on another TGO thread. Here is that one if interested: http://www.gtdist.com/emails/Email-TIGLOCKSNOV2011.html, scroll down, lower right hand corner. New Glocks are subject to LEO, military and retireed (military/Leo) only, however used police guns are available to the general public. I think this place is very reputable. Then there is this site that I am just learning, appears to be good as well: http://www.slickguns.com/ Both gundeals.com and slickguns.com appear to be updated by users who scour the internet, but I also assume some businesses are users as well. I spend close to 1/2 hour each day following what has been updated, and as time permits look at historical postings to get a feel of what prices have been. This is apart of my continuous stride to keep up with deals, so I can spot one when I find one. Enjoy.

In '94, the site inspection and firearm security was the biggest issues. The bound book is a biggy too.

Sunday evening (11/4/2012), the premiere of the National Geographic produced Seal Team Six, The Raid on Osama Bin Laden, will debut @ 8pm (EST) on the National Geographic cable channel. I understand this is very slanted in Obama's favor, and is meant to help O before the election. I will likely watch, but only after the election. Since my satellite box is plugged into the phone jack, I do not want my household apart of any tv ratings (at least before the election). Anyway, I have already read the book No Easy Day about the account, just wandering what the liberal TV version will be. I understand there is no connection whatsoever between this made for TV movie and the No Easy Day book by Mark Owen. I know nothing about this place, interesting products though. Must be a Glock special to dealers, not sure if all dealers are passing along the deal. Too coincidental for two dealers to have the same special pricing at the same time. http://www.botachtactical.com/
