Rules:  First be serious, but how would you write a new amendment that would further compliment the 2nd amendment, and it must pass today's polarized nation?    Just to remind everyone:   A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.   BTW just the opening paragraph of the constituion too:    We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

I can't believe I am going to post this, but compromise (smart compromise) is something that is needed often in order to avoid bad legislation.  Pro gunners and pro banners, are just people.  People don't like to lose period regardless how right or how left you are!  As a member of gun formums, active owner of firearms from pistols, to single shotguns, and to those nasty black rifles, I am with most of the gun world, I do not want to comprimise one inch, in fact I like to have back what has already been comprimised since the birth of the 2A.  However, I would be willing to give up some perceived freedom in order to protect other freedoms, in order for the pro-banners to believe they acheived something, so everyone is happy, happy, happy.    This reminds of something that happened in my professional career, but I think the idology applies here.  I use to work for non-union company, close to 30 years ago.  They were always being hit with pro-union organization, usually very strong union organizations.  They use to fight it, then one day the owner, said we are going to embrace unions with open arms, however he invited a very weak union in for discussion, somone who had not been attempting to organize his company, and working jointly togeather, they formed an agreement to be unionized.  In the end, there was not much change to the benefits, some change, but honestly very little.  Everyone was happy, however the company did avoid the risk of unionization of a militant union.  A smart comprimise!

Would it not be nice to live in a free republic free from discrimination in the 21st century?    Just to align you:  Discrimination is the prejudicial or distinguishing treatment of an individual based on their actual or perceived membership in a certain group or category, such as their age, ethnicity, gender/sex, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, skin color, or other characteristics.[1] It involves the group's initial reaction or interaction, influencing the individual's actual behavior towards the group or the group leader, restricting members of one group from opportunities or privileges that are available to another group, leading to the exclusion of the individual or entities based on logical or irrational decision making.[2]

I for one, I have never valued customer service for non-service related purchases.  I choose retailers for one reason, and one reason only, price not value.  I am 44, likely have spent over $1 million in my life on purchaes, not once when I look back, customer service meant anything to me.  Now customer service at a resturant, doctor's office, and other service providers, yea that means something, but not for buying stuff, especially buying a car.  Value on customer service is a joke!  Bottom line "to me" is the price I paid!
  5. Excellent picture. Squirrel hunting with 22 LR or Short is the only way to go. I too wish I could go, this is a past time I grew up with and each year on opening day I try to go. My kids love it! This is truly the best way to develop and hone target shooting the old fashion way.
  6. I have avoided the SRT simply becuase I have like 6 Sig pistols, and if I get it for one, I know I will have to have it for all. I have read too many times that SRT is the bomb! I do have a question, what is meant by the polished throat and action enhancement? What performance is gained? Just curious, I have not seen that before unless it is called something else.
  7. First, this deal is great, however for you loyalists I read on another forum these new donation phone numbers are from 3rd parties. Meaning the 3rd party is taking a slice of the pie before the NRA gets theirs. Just like at gun shows, join the NRA and get in free type thing. What you don't know is that the selling of the membership is through a 3rd party (gun show promoter). The promoter gets likely $10 for each member that is signed, so the promoter makes money and keeps it, the the NRA gets a water down donation. Nothing wrong with this practice, but my intention is for non-profits to get 100% of my donation, not 70% to the non-profit, and 30% to the business man opportunist. So no disrepect to the original posting, but I do want to become a life member, but I will call the traditional NRA number and wait the 40 min. Just my 2 cents.
  8. My P220 Carry is my most accurate out of my litter. My older P226 is an excellent runner up. You will not be disappointed. Be careful, the signess is a uncureable disease.

  10. I used a steel plate and 4 carriage head 1 inch diameter bolts that had 12 pt heat treat symbols on the head, I think they came from Home Depot. The 1/4" thick steel plate was positioned from the crawl space side, after drilling I ran the bolts up from the crawl space side, then added the nuts from inside safe, done.  I have thought about tack welding the bolts to the steel plate, just for added security.  (edited, you do have to be mindful of the floor joists and the alignment.  My worked out, it was close though.

  13. Can you break it down deeper, why does polygonal shapes do this?  Also, is there benefit that Glock chose polygonal barrels.

Let em blame the NRA (me), because I am the NRA!  How about you!     I got into a tizzy with someone at work the other day, they were talking about guns in general, but suddenly made a unfavorable remark at the NRA, and I abrubtly step in, and said I am the NRA, what is wrong with that!  They were apalled that I belong to them, and I had to pin them down on what did the NRA do, and they should quit listening to media period!
  17. Don't care.  Not a fan.  Avoided anything related to President's inauguration. 
  18. Don't forget to mindful of the weekend pass, I got burned last time. Or I should say the vendors lost an opportunity, I wouldn't pay again and I missed the sign the first time, so I just walked. Had plenty of cash to buy, just to stubborn to pay extra for a weekend pass!

Shortly after the Sandy Hook, I ordered several oem Glock Magazines for the Glocks that I had been neglecting.  The mags. were shown in stock, at regular pre Sandy pricing.  Shortly after placing the order received the dreaded email stating they were on back order.      Moments ago, received a UPS tracking email that a package had shipped from GT distributors enroute to my house.  Bingo!  I just can't remember what I ordered, I know it was around 10 mags for several Glocks that I have, hoped all shipped.
