  1. I say due to the ammo problem, who wants to buy a gun that you can not buy ammo for.  Basic supply and demand, over supply and no demand.
  2. If you consider the number of tables vs. the entry fee, these small gun shows are the most expensive gun shows to attend or in other words the most less value for your money.  Example, the expo center I believe is 500 tables, entry fee is $10 w/o coupon, then the ratio is $0.02 (2 cents) per table to see, a pretty darn good value.  The Maryville show, I believe the entry fee is $8 (not sure), I think they may have 30 tables, so the cost to see each table is $0.27 (27 cents), which is 13x more expensive.  A terrible entry fee ratio.     In a equal way of looking at it either show the expo center needs to charge $130 per entry fee to see their tables, or the Maryville show needs to charge $0.62 (62 cents).  That is a good view of the the rip off the Maryville and other small venue shows are charging based upon the entry fee vs. the tables.  This does not account for the flea market items that both have.  However, if you find that one item you have been looking for or needing, then nothing else matters.
  3. Of course this is not the answer for everyone, my justication for having my personal ammo depot paid off this year.  I have not needed any ammo whatsoever, none.   I do still shoot the same frequency as before.  For you guys that live hand to mouth on ammo, it pays to have a little ammo inventory on site.  My didn't come over night, my recipe for years was if I shoot 2 boxes of 9mm, I replaced my stash with 3 boxes within 48 hours.  I did this over a course of years, and it slowly built my inventory.   Actually this is the same recipe that I got me so overweight, that is anothet story.  While I was building, I didn't know why I was doing it.  I didn't have clear plan.  Come to think of it, my aquisition of guns is similiar, do not know why I just keep adding, and adding.  I have no clear plan with that either.    My suggestion, IF and WHEN this crap is over, not all at once unless you are flushed with disposible income, start building your ammo depot, slowly.  Then if you do not reload, you may just want to have supplies on hand.  I can assure you if you have no desire to reload, you will when the ammo cubbard is dry.
  4. 79 days and still counting.
  5. I have been out of town for the past week, and purchased Mr. Kyle's book.  Just finished reading it, and WOW!  The whole time I was reading, it was sad knowing he was recently murdered.  OUTSTANDING AMERICAN!   Great stories, outstanding courage!    PS. I believe I want a 300Win Mag and a 338 Lapua.  Need to save those pennies.
  6. My 4 gen 2 Glocks are identicle in trigger pull.  Other than the weight of the gun, if I were blind folded, I could not tell which gun was which when it comes to trigger pull.
  7. I have carried on this outstanding tradition. Though I never successfully snagged a snipe, I have passed on this hunting ritual to my sons. My sons, 9 and 7, have been so close so many times in grabbing one. My sons vigor to catch one of those boogers is worthy of Amercias Funniest Videos.
  8. H-e  i-s  o-n-e  c-o-o-l  d-u-d-e!
  9. I do not think all sellers on gunbroker charge the fee. Before bidding just review the ad carefully, I always do. I personally refuse to buy any item from a retailer that has an extra cc fee. That is just cost of doing business. Every retailer has this same challenge/extra cost. It just seems like of all of the different markets, only the gun market pushes this fee.
  10. When did they change the name from the Clinton News Network?  I'm lost.
  11. I do think getting word out that hard to find items can be found at reasonable pricing does much good. I believe the opportunists are not surfing TGO for leads. I think they already have their leads with buddies, friends and paid people who let them know when Walmart, Academy and others receive shipments in. Those items disappear way to fast just for the common man to be passing by at the same time when guns/ammo are placed or just recently placed in the case. The market is saturated until the next wave of real legislation passes.
  12. I contributed to the gun purchase stats, but not the ammo stat.  I guess I messed up the theory.
  13. Ding-dong! The witch is dead. ‒ Which old witch? ‒ Well, uh,.. the wicked witch! ‒ Oh. Ding-dong! The wicked witch is dead. Oh yeah, happy day Wake up you sleepy head, Rub your eyes, and get out of that bed. Wake up, the wicked witch is dead
  14. I have saved $20 in entry fees plus fuel costs ($40) by missing on purpose the last two gun shows in Knoxville for a lack of interest.  I have no need to visit gun museums, flea markets, and I am too old for the circus.
  15. I'm not a ultra cleaner person, I do believe in the stainless steel media and Thumbler Tumbler B.

  17. I left work a little early today, and ran by Walmart on the way home. The lady behind the counter knows that I want a Walmart Colt, and told me I should have been there 3 hours earlier. I said why, she said 4 Colt AR15s came in mid day. All sold to two men within 1/2 hour of being put on display. Gees!!!!! Oh the price has jumped $50, they are now $1067. ">http://
  18. I am not regually a Cabela shopper, none close to home, and I rarely visit their website.  Earlier in the week, I was on another forum and read a similiar posting.  Sure enough, they had what I had been looking for at old traditional pricing, 40S&W Deluxe Die Set.  I placed my order and held my breath, 24 hours later I received an email your item has shipped.  They have many Lee dies sets instock that are going close to $100+ on ebay at ~$42 plus reasonable shipping.  I just checked they don't have the deluxe set for 223, but they do have Lee 223 Pacesetter Dies in stock for $31.99   http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting/Reloading/Presses-Dies%7C/pc/104792580/c/104761080/sc/104516280/Lee-Pacesetter-Rifle-Die-Sets/731711.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fshooting-reloading-presses-dies%2Flee%2F_%2FN-1100195%2B1000003875%2FNe-1000003875%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104516280%3FWTz_l%3DUnknown%253Bcat104792580%253Bcat104761080%26WTz_st%3DGuidedNav%26WTz_stype%3DGNU&WTz_l=Unknown%3Bcat104792580%3Bcat104761080%3Bcat104516280#productChart
  19. Likely the power of contracts probably prevailed.
  20. Highly recommend would be or career minded robbers, thiefs and thugs need to read that story. Should be very educational for them.
  21. My Emerson 32" from Walmart @ $148 isn't too bad.
