  1. Received my email today informing me my mags have shipped.  I got in on the $12 ones.  Very happy, happy, happy.
  2. I watched fearing the worse, and actually found it informative and not at all pro gun control.  The reporter tried to slant it left
  3. Silver Fox says to Obama, you are the worst president ever.  Obama laughs and says you're right!
  4. I have been to the Arizona Memorial twice now, and it is absolutely more somber than I had ever imagined it would be.  They showed a video about the interment that last time.  Very sad and very somber.
  5. I have a couple of bricks of 22s with a Wynns price tag at $5.99
  6. Thank you, my order is in.
  7. Will Sam have any 40 caliber 180gr bullets FMJ?
  8. I have used this ammo shortage as a very strong negotiation tactic, especially on 22LR guns!  Of course the seller has to be weak minded and not a TGO follower!
  9. I saw this posting yesterday and refused to read it, and I saw it again today, I guess I just need to say that the title of this post just makes my very mad!
  10. Pressure cookers are hard to find.  Will the public ever stop.
  11. You know looking at google earth of Watts Bar, if they shot from the boat ramp which is across the river, how they call out?  This does not make any sense.  Go see for your self, the boat ramp is across the river from the cooling towers.   http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&qscrl=1&rlz=1T4GGNI_enUS490US490&biw=733&bih=448&q=watts+bar+dam+google+earth&ion=1&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.45580626,d.eWU&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&ei=Li53UZWGLJDY9QTe74GYDA&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAg
  12. The perpetrator got way, hmmm.  Security sure was tight.  Maybe the security guard is retired from the Boston PD.  Seem like I recall Boston PD was in a shoot out recently, and a perpetrator got away.
  13. Recon?  Drunk Redneck, teen dare, or a real threat?  Who would travel up river in a boat in the middle of the night, tie up a boat, and walk the grounds of a TVA Nuclear Reactor facility with a gun, confront a security officer, shoot, and then escape.  Hmmmm.
  14. This explains it well:  http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/49085-member-title/?hl=newcomer#entry804584
  15. Unless the laws have changed, the 4473 may be destroyed after 20 years.  If the FFL goes out of business, they are required to send the 4473 to the ATF office, and I believe under law, these forms are to be destroyed after 20 years.  This was how I read the rules & regulations when I was a FFL which btw was 20 years ago.
  16. I have the Browning Citori 525.  I have probably shot close to 5,000 rounds through it in 8 years, and it is absolutely as tight today as it was on the first outing.  In comparison a friend of mine bought a Ruger Red Label,  Around 1,000 rounds, the Ruger was a lot more loose.    I don't know much about the Berettas, but I have another friend that swears by them.   Spend the money for the Browning, you will not be disappointed.
  17. They probably had good intentions, but didn't know the supply chain well.  I would ask for my money back.
  18. Before reading, how many people typically shows up for a pro-gun rally in Tennessee?  Now go read the story about the pro Gun control activists:   http://www.wbir.com/news/article/264722/2/Gun-control-activists-rally-in-Knoxville-as-part-of-nationwide-movement
  19. I noticed today that my locally Wally has a slot and price tag for the Colt AR15 that is $1497.  The clerk said they had one of these to come in about a week ago, but couldn't remember what was included.  She said it was different or included other accessories than the normal item.  Anyone know what this is?  They do still have a slot and price for the $1197 variant.
  20. The door is strong, but the sides and back is just sheet metal.    I have a respectful and high heat rated safe (800lbs) that I paid very high for 12+ years ago.  I had to drill a accessory hole for an extension chord for my light, and I was amazed how easily and quick I penetrated the rear of the safe with the drill bit.  So if a drill bit penetrated it quickly, then a sawall will be easy as well, just first drill the hole, and then use the sawall.   Like opening a can.
  21. I have always been a Gen2 guy.  I now have amassed a good collection.  Do you ever hear in bad raps on Gen2?  You can usually find them cheaper than a Gen3, and in my view, they just feel better, and groove thingy isn't a problem.  I am still on a quest to find a Gen2 model 32 that is stamped with 357Sig.
  22. A cheap sawall will cut into the safe in just a minute or so, and torches will be in it quicker than that.   However, they are likely dumb enough and greedy enough to sell the safe for scrap steel after the contents is emptied.  I would also check the scrap steel buyers, I believe there is one there on 25/70 (Ashville Hwy), between what the old timers called the Handy Dandy and the Jasper Jones.
  23. TTAG is reporting he is back and his permit has been restored:  http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/04/robert-farago/tennessee-restores-james-yeagers-concealed-carry-permit/
  24. Just how will enforcement be managed?  Observation of a illegal transfer, or a gun owner in possession of gun that was manufactured after a certain date and the owner has no evidence of a 4473 type transfer?
