This was an excellent show from easy to navigate the aisles to being able to see the tables. Bought a little here and there. -

David I need powder for reloading 357Sig, what do you recommend and do you have it this weekend at the Ktown show? -
I am very grateful for the greatest generation ever. THANK YOU! I do remember you, and I hold close to my heart what you did and the sacrifice and scars that occurred on June 6th, 1944.

Rediculous ammo prices at Pawn shop.
runco replied to LenoirGunner's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Folks, with pawn shops its about return on investment and opportunity to sell in a reasonable time frame. If they have a purchased an item for resell, the chances of negotiating significantly is low. However, if its a pawned item that is out for sell, they likely have 1/3 of the asking value tied up in cash, and depending on their assessment of how long it will to sell, they will be motivated by this assessment. I have to agree with Dolomite_Supafly on this one. BTW pawn shop people size you up while you are negotiating on how difficult the negotiation may be, don't lose your leverage. -
I got sucked in too. Its refreshing to see pretty faces and long pony tales on the diamond. The action is fast, very fast.

First, there are no comparison of Gulf Shores and Myrtle Beach as for the beauty of the beach and quality of the sand, Gulf Shores is a A+. But there is where I draw the line, for family vacation with children, I found Gulf Shores to be boring, and not too much to do. Whereas Myrtle Beach has lots to do for kids and family. For rates on hotels and Condos, Myrtle gets a A+ over most beach towns I have been too. Food choices both are good, I found Myrtle to be better. For value, I give Myrtle the best. I draw a comparison to Myrtle Beach because I was there last week for 7 days, and had a blast with the family. Over the past 25 years of visiting a beaches each year, I actually found Ft. Walton and Destin areas to be a happy medium between Gulf Shores and Myrtle. You kinda of get the best of both, and the fishing and day crusies out of Destin are the best prices I have found, and Destin is more family friendly then I found at Gulf Shores. FYI I have been to Hawaii twice, which is in a league of its own, but beach to beach, I would take the Gulf Coast over Hawaii.

No disrespect, but who does the Pawn Shops market too! I admit I visit pawn shops often as a buyer only, never for their services, but some pawn shops will negotiate on older inventory, some never do. My guess is their main stream clinetel is more of the misinformed, window shoppers or the non-TGO mainstream, but that is a guess by me. I am sure there are exceptions. -

After watching Lethal Weapon, had to have a Beretta 92FS. Purchased it new in 1992 at Wynns Sports World in Sevierville. Still have it, and it looks just like the way it did the day I bought it.

Just as hospitals are for the sick, the church is for the sinners! BUT, just as the hospitals do not endorse getting sick, the church can not endorse sin!

Just terrible. Those kids, families, and just loss of life. -
There is no wrong answer here. I have the Sigs and the Glocks (gen2). To me, the Sigs are just like the best looking girl in school, and are absolutely fun to be with, and will get the job done too if you know what I mean. However, the Glocks are just Glocks, not the prettiest little thing, but are fun to be with, and will get the job done too. My Sigs, if they were to accidently fall to the ground, I always inspect them. My glocks fall, I don't care, and just carry on. So my answer to your dilemma is Yes, and I will leave it at that.

Was I in the wrong yesterday while buying my shotgun?
runco replied to Tobashadow's topic in General Chat
Sounds to me they have a practice of allowing the would be owner the firearm after the 4473 is complete, but the TICs information has not yet came back. The requirement is that the FFL must do both, have the buyer complete the 4473, review for obvious prohibited answers, and contact TIC, then provide your DL number, and wait on the approval via a alpha numeric number BEFORE the FFL can transfer ownership and physically deliver the firearm. -
For the ones who don't have a police scanner, this is pretty neat. Most Tennessee counties and agencies are there. Not sure of the time delay though. Enjoy (it may open in Monroe County, just select your county, then scroll down, and select). http://www.broadcastify.com/listen/ctid/2489

Hey everyone, I need to re-visit this topic. I recently received a soliciting email through the NRA, and I have ran the numbers, and this doesn't sound to bad. Is there anyone here that uses them? More importantly, anyone ever had a claim, and how did it go? Is there any way to investigate customer ratings on this underwriter? https://nrains.locktonaffinity.com/Coverage.aspx?pID=2440

I heard something at the Barber shop the other day that a certain FFL in the area had got in ATF trouble, and was having to contact buyers regarding some type of issue. I wonder if this is the same FFL that has learned to have a phone record to ease the pain to contact someone just in case? -
This is sad, I wish I knew more of the circumstances.

I had my roof replaced about 2 years ago, and the contractor did a poor job picking up nails. So I use one of those 40% off coupons from Hobby Lobby, and purchased a metal detector. I figured the avoidance of flat tires on the mower and kids with nails in the feet was worth the price I paid. I have taken it to the local school playground, and I am up some $0.64 in finds.

I only changed my Ford F250 diesel truck transmission fluid as per the schedule because I use to pull a lot of trailers, campers, & boats. Other than that, I have never changed the fluid. Knowing the mechanics and how fluids can breakdown, I recommend what the OEM recommends. Another way to look at this, one can go days/weeks/months without brushing one's teeth, no problem in short term, but 100% assured over time, you will have problems.
