  1. Actually, I can relate, but I have gone past qtips, to pocket knives to any object that I stick in my ear canal and relieve the itch at that very moment, surprisingly a large size paper clip does a good job.  Even those manual primer removal pins do great!  I have never rubbed it so hard it bled though!   :screwy:
  2. Just have a roadrunner close by, and it should be a piece of cake.  Also have some A.C.M.E. items, and you will bag it for sure.
  3. My experience, a used older Sig P220 with 2 mags pre crazy could easily be found for $450 give or take $50 either way.  I find newer P220s, that appear to be newish looking, go for ~$600-$700.
  4. Does Maryville have a facebook page, load it up.
  5. I too use a traditional barber, high and tight with 000 on the sides, with straight razor and hot lather clean up.  There is always a gun trade going on, politics being discussed and/or other manly conversations occurring.  He charges $10.
  6. 44 years ago today, July 20th, 1969, Neil and Buzz were taking their first stroll on a celestial body some 238K miles away. One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
  7. Does society expect me to call or wait on a fire department to arrive before I or they can extinguish a fire that threatens my property or life even though I have access to a fire extinguisher?   Another view, does society expect me to call or wait on the police department to arrive, before I or they can stop the threat to my life even though I have access to a firearm?    I just heard this from someone, and never considered this perspective.
  8. I somehow missed this posting.  I know of Massad Ayoob and did not know of his classes.  I just learned about his classes while listening to Tom Gresham's radio pod cast.  I am very much interested in either his MAG-20 or MAG-80 classes.    http://massadayoobgroup.com/?page_id=7
  9. I guess I have been living under a rock.  Just recently discovered this show, and listening now of past pod casts.  So far, quite interesting.  Just good listening while trolling gun message boards.  Multitasking, listing to his show, reading TGO on my left screen and reading Armslist/gunbroker on the my right 2nd screen.    http://www.guntalk.com/site40.php
  10. If you want to have fun while taking care of your problem, find another ant mound shovel as much of it as possible, then dump it on the other mound, then watch the show. Usually this will kill the entire mound.
  11. Walmart Madisonville for clearly a week now, has maintained a very good supply of 40S&W.  In addition as of Saturday (7/13), they had 100 round packs of 40S&W, and had 4 or 5 boxes of 9mm.
  12. I own more than one Sig and I own an equal amount of glocks.  Sigs in my view are a very fine weapon, extremely accurate, and feel excellent in my hands.  Sig vs. Glock in my house, Sig will win every time (excluding $$$).  With that said, I do own an equal amount of Glocks for reason.  They are good too, just not as pretty.  If one of my Sigs were to drop on to a concrete floor, I would look at the scratches and scuffs, and try to remove them.  If one of my glocks were to fall, I could care less, probably wouldn't even look at the weapon for the scuff mark.
  13. Family and I were on the lake today, actually anchored, to let the kids swim. The setting was a very big open space, very close to favorite sand bar to let kids wade and throw rocks. Several military helicopters flew over (like the picture below) maybe 2-3 miles away, and at a high altitude. I could barely make out the ball on the top, but could see it. I clearly saw this group go out of sight heading toward the airbase at McGhee Tyson. I got busy on the boat, and looked up maybe 5 min. later and there was one more helicopter somewhat closer, but still at a great distance and very high in the sky, but this one was just hovering, not moving. He was not facing me, but was 90 degrees to me, I could see the whole left side of the helicopter. I watched for a moment, you just don't see a military helicopter just hovering at a great altitude, in Monroe County, TN. Finally, after 30 seconds or so, I waved at him, nothing major, kind of like if you were in a car, and saw a friend on the street. I wasn't expecting anything, didn't think he was looking at us, but immediately after I waved at him there was a return gesture, he flashed some type of light under the helicopter directly in my direction, just one flash, and immediately turned the helo and left. I assume they were just using their high tech equipment to see us, no other way they could see us with the naked eye, and the light was bright and I could see it well. http://
  14. I read this story today from the Knoxville News Sentinel   http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2013/jul/09/nude-woman-swimmer-distracts-home-burglary-victim/?partner=popular     A woman who received permission to skinny dip in a man's backyard pool sufficiently amused him while her male companion burglarized the premises, police reported.  The 54-year-old victim said the couple, who lived nearby, approached his home about 3 p.m. Saturday in Crossville. He said the woman instructed her companion to return home for her cigarettes, and then asked the homeowner if she could swim in his pool. He escorted her through the home to the pool in the rear when she surprisingly asked if he would mind if she swam in the nude. He didn't, she stripped down and proceeded to swim for 20 minutes. The homeowner sat poolside all the while, handing her a towel to dry off when she finished. She then dressed and left.  Police said the victim got an even bigger surprise when he returned to his home, discovering missing jewelry, medications and a handgun -- all worth an estimated $1,195. Police were seeking the couple for questioning.

So the fish actually spits out lead sinkers?
  18. Thanks to this posting, Wife and kids drove to Fontana last evening.  It is a sight to behold.  The water rushing down the spill way was just awesome.  My boys enjoyed the view from the top and the spill ways from the top just as good.  I will post some additional pictures this evening, my phone chord is at work.   BTW everyone got car sick on 129 on the way home, too many curves.  We never met anyone on 129 coming home, this was between 9pm and 10:30pm.
  19. I quit several years ago, but I enjoyed Arturo Fuente's.  I use to buy my through J&R.
  20. Welcome!
  21. I bought my large safe from this group in Kingston, at the time in 2001, they were very competitive and very informative:   http://www.southernsecuritysafes.com/
  22. The rabbit hole continues, now this video audio is on HHH show on 98.7 this morning.
  23. When I lived in Kingsport 20 years ago, many people would not eat any fish south of Eastman.  Just remember below Cherokee dam, the same water flowed past Eastman.
  24. If you like, enjoy, not my cup of tea.  It does look cool, just not for me.
