  1. Though I agree the trigger puller is an idiot, but likely not liable.  He was just an innocent consumer roaming the aisles in a reasonable thought to be safe environment, and looked at a interesting firearm not expecting it to be loaded an accidently pulled the trigger while handling.  At least that would be the story I would I tell.  Plus, he likely has no serious money.  Again, the attorney would go after the money people.  Even the city of Knoxville could be added.
  2. Litmus test of blame, who would the lawyers go after if someone in deed had been shot/killed/suffered greatly:  I like to assume the ones with money:   >Promoter & Employees.  Assume the rent cops who check guns are paid employees or contractors >Gun Owner >Property Owner >If the rent a cop is a contractor, then the rent a cop
  3. I own a bunch of black pistols, black ARs, and some brown & black rifles, so what are you saying, that I should diversify?  Also, since I own them, paid good money for them, do I need to emancipate my owned guns, set 'em free?   I am confused!
  4. My fellow TGO friends, I have found another sweepstakes to enter and thought I would share:   http://www.eotech-inc.com/   The actual link is inside Facebook, so the link above is to the main page of EOTech's web site.  I think you can enter each week, they give away a site each week!  Good Luck!
  5. Stole this picture from The Truth About Guns, its the shooter's gun! BTW more of this guns in a gun free zone needs to be whipped up in our favor with politicians and the media. For a shooter its a fishing in a barrel. And one more point, gun free zones work are like a drug free Amercia. How is that working for the government! http://

    Single drill bit

I think I paid $24 for this set back in 1990.  Harbor Freight has this one for $36.99, and if you have one of those 20% super coupon savers, then this set is south of $30.  Not bad.   http://www.harborfreight.com/115-piece-high-speed-drill-bit-set-with-index-528.html

    Ruger Red Label

Most of over/unders are put to the test if you are serious about clays and skeet.  My Browning has seen over 10K rounds, and is as tight today as it was when I first bought it 8 years ago.  As a comparison, my brother bought a Ruger Red Label within a few months of my purchase, and @ 1,000 rounds or 10 rounds of Clays, his developed a loose rattling receiver.  What does that mean, to some, nothing, to others it might mean something.  My brother's accuracy didn't change though, he is still a terrible shot.  I don't think its the gun though!    P.S.  My brother doesn't read these boards!
  8. I have this sight, and it works good.  Not a keep with the Jones qualifier though.  Do note the good reviews:   http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Arms-Gear-Tactical-Weaver-Picatinny/dp/B003NFI092/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1382997742&sr=8-2&keywords=ar15+holographic+sights   Walmart sells the same one for $99.
  9. I believe Nov. 1 is the day of the dead in some parts of the world, .  Some could call it Zombie day I guess.  No I have not heard nothing, and I read a lot of tin foil hat stuff.

    Single drill bit

Funny about this post.  Long before Harbor Freight, I used to buy cheap tools and stuff through Enco.  I remember buying one of those large drill bit sets.  Over the years, I have broke, lost and misplaced a dozen or so.  I too have been annoyed by the missing drill bits.  I have priced the single bits, and I have decided its just cheaper for me to buy another large set.

    Home Carry

I don't home carry unless I forget too, however why home carry when I have a couple of strategic placed items within quick grasp.
  12. There were many reasons I moved to a rural area many years ago. local school is one!  Though my kids may have to watch out for dueling banjo families, missing teeth friends, and some mountain dialect, along with pure poverty,  my kids are likely the only kids that pay for their lunches with real cash, my kids do not have to watch out for thugs, left wing teachers, kids that have rolled around in the tacklebox and alike.  Rural schools are filled with teachers like what I remember when I grew up, some even still say open prayers, have bibles on their desk, and most still say pledge allegiance.  Most of the teachers are in our local church.   Heck I even heard of kid bringing a pocket knife to school in the year 2013, though he was caught and the knife taken away, he was not expelled, and the knife was returned to the parents.  Imagine that!  So shhhhhh don't tell anyone, rural public schools is where its at!
  13. I thought there were provisions for large employers like VW, Nissan and others to opt out?  I remember discussing with HR manager back in the spring.
  14. I was reading another story on another web site about this topic, do you ever give your guns a name?  I for one, haven't, but if I think about it, I could name my Sig P220 Nikki (for sexy), my Glock 21 Olga (for ugliness), and my Colt AR Kim Kardashin for being very fast and sexy.  So seriously, do you have a name for your gun.  Tell me!
  15. No can't do that, the tax payers would have to pick up the tab to pay someone to wipe their a$$ because they could not wipe it without their hands.    I actually knew an elderly man growing up that had no hands, I think he lost them in a dynamite fish accident, anyway he was a notorious thief.  He was caught multiple times breaking into houses, the local sheriffs dept. didn't want to lock him up due to the wiping his a$$ part, seriously.
  16. Random, or do you suppose someone you know?  I would assume someone walking by could see some items of interest, otherwise why would they go to the trouble of a coat hanger.

    Sig vs Glocks

I own many Sigs and Glocks too.  I consider myself a Sig guy, but can not ignore the Glock.  Think of it this way, the Sig is absolutely a beautiful weapon, smooth, and just sexy.  Its kinda like the beautiful classy girl in High School, the one that made your heart race when you looked at her, and the one you would bring home to mama.  However, the Glock will do just fine, its ugly, not as sexy.  Its kinda like the fat or ugly girls in high school, not to sexy, little plump but sure were dependable to put out if you know what I mean.  Both will do fine if you can score!   I do know this, if my Sig P220 was to accidently slip out of my hand, and hit the concrete, I would look all over the gun for dents and scratches, and fret about them, however if my Glock 21 fell to the ground, I could care less.
  18. I had a dream about this just last night, weird, or a premonition.
  19. I know that I may be in the minority, I simply do not sell or trade guns.  In my opinion, the risk is too great.  I use to be FFL dealer 20 years ago, and was very familiar with the laws and risks long before the internet.  Though its not against the law to sell or trade occasionally, the burden if its a legal sell/trade is you the owner.  You can ask the questions, you can have the bill of sale, all of which is subject to heavy scrutiny if one of your guns come back on you, and after several thousands of dollars to retain an attorney, go through the spill, you will likely win, but was it worth the $50-$100 you made on the sale or flip, or the $500 of gun trade for that gun you wanted, and either you were to cheap to buy it out right, or just didn't have the money to begin with.  It just is not worth it. Again, I know I am in the minority.  This stance by me has not stopped my indulging in guns, its one of the reasons that I have amassed a good kitty.  One side benefit is that I do not fit in that category of the one gun I loved once that I traded away.
  20. I don't have a link to the story, just the News Alert: http://
  21. Yes it is time to register again for a chance to win this Sig, it seems like only yesterday I was reminding you. I don't care much for AR pistols, but I sure would like to have it. Are you in? http://www.sigsauer.com/Promotions/Sweepstakes.aspx http://
  22. Surprisingly, I do not get any NRA spam.  Just the magazine, occasional NRA store catalogue, and that is about it.
  23. Oh, you said brass, I must have initially read it wrong, I didn't see the B and R.
  24. There was one law that was on the Range Rover's side, Force = Mass x Acceleration.   Typical crotch rocket weighs ~700 lbs Typical Range Rover weighs ~4,000 lbs   Let the brains do the rest!
  25. For 20+ years I did not reload, due to the cost factor.  December 25, 2012, I changed my whole view point of reloading.  Now I reload for current and future ammo availability.  I likely have all that I will ever need, unless I shoot more which I likely will do!  BTW thanks for the calculator, I already had one that I created on an Excel spreadsheet.
