1. I say it was the beginning of attempted robbery or would follow you later and try to break-in.   That just doesn't happen!
2. I use to be shade tree body man.  25 years ago, I use to try to cut corners, not want to sand down to the bare metal, repainting and etc.  There must be a better way, etc.  Form personal experience, there is no chemical or no other way shy of sanding, priming and repainting.    In some cases, you might even have to cut the cancer out, and re-weld sheet metal.  Now that I am borderline old fart, I either just live with it, or sell it as is and take loss!
3. Follow-up:  Just talked to Crossbreed, they were closed before Christmas.  < 1 min phone call, and a screw is on the way in the mail today, no charge.  Outstanding.
4. It goes back to responsible stewardship of taxpayers money.  The Federal subsidy should have never been baked into the general fund.  Good for them!
5. Just pandering the morning away this morning with abstract thoughts and curiosities (actually wiffee is at the hospital, her father is having surgery today, and I am watching the 4 boys).  Anyway, what gun/outdoor activity magazine subscriptions do you have, and rank them in order, 1 being best etc.   Here is mine: 1.  Shooting Illustrated 2.  SWAT 3.  American Riflemen 4.  Guns & Ammo (considered cancellation lately) 5.  Tennessee Wildlife   Any more subscriptions and I will have to eat more frequently, so I can be on the bus more for quality reading time!   Ha!
6. You know I was thinking while on the crapper this morning what a stark contrast to the two men.  I read a story on Fox News that Obama visited the troops on Christmas day (in Hawaii), and later played golf close by.  How many times did I read over the years that Bush visited the troops while in harms way?  What a contrast of the two men!   Fox News article: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/12/26/obama-pays-visit-to-troops-in-hawaii-christmas-day/?intcmp=latestnews
7. Choice?  Seriously, you have a choice?    If you have patience and time on your side I guess you will have a choice.  If you need it now, well, I guess brand X is the best there is, brand X is the most expensive, actually brand X is the least expensive there is compared to "nothing else", and brand X performs the best compared to "nothing".
8. I for one do not need another convenience to use a CC, and for that matter my debit card.  I finally got out of the CC rut several years ago, but it creeps up every now and then.  The Great Gun attack of 2013 really stressed my discipline!   The debit card is just like poker chips.  If you are a poker player you know what I am talking about.
9. I wish I had the time to do this. Was just on TWRA's website and their annual calendar photo contest is underway. The deadline date is March 10, 2014. If you are not a lifetime sportsman license holder or subscribe to the Tennessee Wildlife magazine, you probably do not know. My kids are lifetime sportsmans license holders, and one of the perks is the annual TWRA calendar. Its a pretty cool calendar, with Tennessee wildlife pictures, and most important dates of hunting seasons, etc. The link: http://news.tn.gov/node/11825 And for the non-hyperlink folks: Photo Contest for Tennessee Wildlife Calendar Issue Underway Monday, December 23, 2013 | 05:09 pm NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is now accepting entries for its 2014-15 photo contest for publication in the Tennessee Wildlife Magazine’s annual calendar issue. 10. Reminder, 5 more shopping days with a voluntary 9.75% plus/minus discount depending on where you live.
11. If you see a husband, wife, and 4 kids out and about in a minivan or just leisurely walking by, rest assured there is a family member armed (thats me).

Lone Survivor

I was disappointed too, thought it was released today.  Spots is right though.
13. In my household, we live in the debit card world and seldom have cash, let alone 100 dollar bills on hand unless I am on the hunt for a new gun. For Christmas we had some family to give our kids money, and we received several new 100 bills that came out this year. These are cool. Have you seen them? http://www.newmoney.gov/uscurrency/redesigned100.htm http://

Glock 42

You know we the assembled wise men here on TGO see this new Glock through the prism of experienced gun owners, highly likely current or former Glock owners, likely big bang tools owners, nonetheless gun nutty people, etc. We are likely different than the targeted market for this new gun. This new Glock model may very much appeal to the 1st time handgun owner, women buyers, the elderly, those people with weak forearm muscles, financially stressed people, and those people that fear the harsh recall of a 9mm (sarcastic of course). These targeted markets would be aware of the Glock name, the appeal of something simple, small, and priced lower than any other new Glock. I think the suggested MSRP was listed as $475, that's a whole lot more economical than any other new Glock. This could place this Glock into the hands of less financially blessed people.
15. Now wheres Farkus, lets see who bullies who now!
16. Oh your post reads so much like our home, just change Dad to mom, and its the same here including the Ninjago. We have boys ages 9, 8, 4, and 1. What took hours to assemble, only took 10 min to unwrap and enjoy. We did start something new last year, instead of the shotgun blast approach to opening packages, we draw names to who opens packages 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. This way we can see the excitement of each child and each present. Merry Christmas to all!
17. Taking a break from "some assembly required" items for our 4 young boys!  Whew!  Its not too silent here, me dropping things, kicking boxes, and losing parts!  Merry Christmas everyone!
18. What??????  No you'll shoot your eye out comment?
19. No not really, but I did see this cool picture moments ago on google. Caption This: http://
20. Not sure if I am qualified as a hunter since I don't hunt like I use to, but I sure do wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Be mindful of the reason for the season. ">http://
21. I blew the dust off this post from last year.   Well lets hear any new fellas or any updates for this year!

Glock 42

According to the TTAG, its a 380: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/12/robert-farago/breaking-glock-42-revealed/ ">http://
23. I sure do miss him. One of my better Christmas wishes I received today. http://
24. All things being equal, the residual value at the time when you wish to trade/sell again will separate the wheat from the chaff on the decision now. And if that was not enough, Ford is not owned by an Italian company that sells Fiats! Yes, Fiats! The CEO of Chrysler is Sergio Marchionne. Do you really want a truck from that guy?
