  1. Now the sercet is out, only range I know w/o range restrictions
  2. edit
  3. what's up with all the barrels in the first picture?
  4. Since when? My buddy and I purchased 1 item ea from out of state (this time last yr), both items arrived to our dealer in the same wk, since I had a serial # my dealer did all of my paperwork before the item arrived, I got my photo, cleo signiture and finger prints all done before it arrive. My buddy has a trust, we sent our paperwork off the same day, our checks cashed 2 days later, we both went pending 1 wk later (again same day, same pile of paperwork), he got approved 96 days from pending, myself 122 days from pending, remember same dealer and same exanimer, how do you explain the 4wk difference? The trust side steps the FBI BG check.
  5. I'm guessing you have a trust, I wish when I started my dealer would have told me the differance, to late now!!
  6. your crying over 180days right? the good old days took a yr +, beleive it or not congress doesn't want you to own anything NFA. are you filing as individule or using a trust? that makes about a 4wk difference between the two. I wouldn't compare a TICS background check to a FBI background check....BTW your the last person inline at the FBI, they have bigger fish's to fry and the BATF won't do anything w/o your FBI background check. What's pending anyways?
  7. OK wow, I'm in learning mode now (not a smart AZZ comment).. then why do they make barrels longer then 16" if it doesn't matter (other then fps is greater out of a longer barrel)? and why do the make bull barrels?? BTW: I already learned something off the MOA video above
  8. I hear what your saying but: I recently sold a colt HBAR AR15 with a 20" A2 upper, that thing was way more accurate then any of my 10.5",11.5", 14.5" and 16" uppers that I currently use.....using the same ammo... I was in the market for a REPR last yr but settled for something else, please look at page 5 for how LWRC rates their rifle for ranges, shorter barrels = shorter distances, longer barrels = longer distances. It's a different caliber but I'm thinking it's the same theory... http://www.lwrci.com/support/forms/REPR_Manual.pdf JR
  9. you will not get surgical precision from a 16" carbine rifle unless were talking about 100yrds
  10. Most of the ranges (there are many) are indoor and geared for the strip user, here is one with prices: http://thegunstorelasvegas.com/gun-rental-packages I would recomend the m249 saw (40 rounds is a joke, that's only a 3 second BF burst), m16 then the mp5 for MG My parents live in boulder on my way there a couple yrs ago I seen signs for an outdoor range in henderson that's 1/2 hr from the strip.
  11. Don't know, I looked at those as well (4-5yrs ago), I like the pistol grip and it adjustable in about every direction, only think I hated about it was the lower channel, I made a custom rail to attach my atlas bipod..
  12. Thank You, it's a Bell & Carson, it's very comfortable... http://bellandcarlson.com/
  13. I zeroed my 50 at 100yrds 1" groups faily easy, then 200yrds (longest I shot saturday) 3" +/- groups again fairly easy, just shooting remanufacted fmj rounds ($2.14per round), nothing match grade..BTW the .416 round is $6.00+ ea round Now if I wanted to be a little more precise I'd use this .308, it's killed more deer than I can count, longest kill shot was 650yrds.
  14. Have you looked on gun broker for a barrett 99? ( i've seen some sell in the past for $2800ish) I just purchased a 82a1 off GB 2wks ago and shot it saturday it was F"in" awesome... BTW I noticed this on ar15.com EE http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_93/988997__WTS___Noreen_50_BMG_rifle__Price_Drop_.html
  15. here you go http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_8_38/485270_New____Machine_Gun_Shoot_in_TN.html
  16. Paint it orange and ask $40
  17. Are you sure about that? A FA bolt is ok I think if you have a AR15 and install M16 FCG it's a NO NO, whats stopping you if you install a DIAS, now if you had a RDIAS your gtg..
  18. I'm guessing your talking about trigger parts? I sure wouldn't use, used parts. have you looked on gunbroker SAW ar15 EE under NFA sturmgewehr or sub guns brownells ratworks BTW this is the wrong forum to discuse C3
  19. $400 more per yr with USAA vrs TNFB home and my boat was another $100 more to..
  20. I'll never do bussiness with SF, my mom worked for them for 21yrs, can you imagine how many vacation/sick days she could accure in that time? she was diagonsed with breast cancer in the late 80's and had to take a yr off, doctors orders, when she returned they let her go, so FU....SF...
  21. I'm with Tn Farm Bureau (they've done me good and their Charlie approved..lol..), I'm covered for $2k under my existing policy, my agent is getting more info from the home office but it's looking like they will not insure military rifles, their wording is hunting and collecters rifles only.. That's why I'm asking about stand alone policys, I have usaa for auto insurance, they will not insure me either unless I insure my home with them. Does anyone use NRA coverage and their insurance providers? or someone else?
  22. who insures your firearms? do you have a stand alone policy? my home owners policy (TNFB) will not cover my firearms, since they are not hunting rifles.. thanks JR
  23. Well my first impression wasn't good, purchase a barrett out of state Saturday, called CRF Saturday asking them to fax their FFL paperwork to my dealer, my dealer called me couple hrs later to tell me nothing arrived yet, called CRF again asking to fax it again another 2hrs went by, dealer called me again, nothing, I phoned Hero Gear, their paperwork arrived 15minutes later... To be fair the person at CRF told me the owner wasn't there both times I called but it shouldn't be that diffcult to fax a copy... JR.
  24. I'm assuming your in muffreesboro correct? what range do you go to?
