1. That's music to my ears... My shrike changes barrels just as fast......but it's only 556 :(
2. I'm a Colt fan, my 14yr son has a LE6940 he's had his for 3+yrs and I have several uppers for my lower one just so happens to be a cut down 14.5" 6940 upper, either gun is exceptional, just the colt is better  LOL just kidding guys!!! but it is :stir: I know the LE version has been discontinued to us but there are NIB ones out there, the most recent roll mark is SP or possible M4. Sounds like your buying it from Wal-Mart I think they're selling for around $1400, I bought my sons gun when they first came out from outpost armory for $1600
3. Mine has the std feed plate, no I didn't send it down there, I had a gut feeling it wouldn't fit, it fits my sons lower without any issues, last night I did a little filing and dermal work to the front lug of the upper (then covered it up with a black marker, you can't even see it)so it would fit my lower. I thinking my problem is a link or delink issue, I'm not sure what the right amount of resistance when pushing ammo through the links is..   BTW: still waiting for a call back, I sent them an email this morning, got a prompted response from the lady I spoke with yesterday, guys are in the back working and they can't leave their machines..... I hope I'm not talking to RedJacket or I'm screwed.
4. How does your buddy's run? I took mine out yesterday ran 10-30 round mags SA through it to break it in, started on 10round belts and I could never get the second round to load, did everything word for word per the owners manual, I'm waiting for a call back from ares to diagnose the problem..
5. He's a HK collector, I know a person who took 3 HK's off his hands
6. LOL check this out http://www.thisisjustcool.com/cool-pictures/charleton-hestons-basement-gun-room/
7. All you need now is a 50BMG pistol
8. Here you go pg 3 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/56200-tgo-ride/, when I was little I liked to play army, I guess it carried over to adult life.   I've seen so many videos and forum write up's about this upper burning through ammo very quickly (750-1000 ROF), I've never mag dumped anything past 30 rounds so 100-180 will defiantly be different, I'll probably limit it to 500 rounds per outing. Does your buddy have a 12.5" barrel?
9. Well I bought it, now waiting on the nut sacks to arrive, I'll break it in this weekend on magazines before going to belts. Carry handle has to go, need a smaller one.
10. I see the ammo in your pic now, I thought is was the tula ammo on the desk...
11. what kind of ammo does that shoot? I'll be going out to terry's couple times in the next 2 wks, I'll be breaking in a new toy..

16. maybe a LE6940
17. Anyone been there? Pros and Cons (gun shop and range), who have you dealt with?
18. I was joking... I seen a video of someone stacking 2-5gallon pails on top of ea other and setting it off, I'm guessing 25lbs+/- ea, it was empressive...
19. You can grind it up with a cheap yard sale type blenders.... 1/4 ton (500lbs) that will make some noise...LOL look what kind of attention 100lbs gets you:   A Minnesotan man was fined $2,583 and sentenced to three years' probation[5] on charges of detonating an explosive device and unlawful possession of components for explosives after he detonated 100 lb (45 kg) of Tannerite inside the bed of a dump truck by shooting it with a rifle chambered in .50 BMG from 300 yards (270 m) away on January 14, 2008 in Red Wing, Minnesota. The man was on probation when he mixed and shot the Tannerite and was not allowed to possess firearms or explosives. [6][7] The blast could be felt at Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant (roughly 5 miles away).[8]
20. here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kzfm4pYhIyY
21. Did he shoot it unsuppressed? if so what was the rate of fire differance? I'm curious... I think mine is somewhere around 900+/- per minute suppressed vrs 650+/- unsuppressed... BTW i seen a video of a guy shooting 25 to 30-30 round mags, mag dumps and the gas tube melted, I'm sure it would have happen sooner if it was suppressed....LOL
22. Bump... it about time......  :dirty:
23. is that a 6940?
