There's been a lot of interest on the TGO recently with 50's, since the gun market is soft 50's are becoming more popular, I'll be a little bias, I've been around several 50's over the years, my buddy has a 82a1 he paid $11.2k from the outpost, I followed up buying a 82a1 out of state for $8.5k, I use to shoot at Terry's in Manchester I've been there on several occasions with factory Barrett guys R&D 95,99,82a1 and 107's all of them excellent rifles, I really wished the 107 was out before I bought mine, in the past couple years I've shot with JohnC "TGO Mod" a couple times, he has a AR50 bolt, while I'll agree John's gun is more accurate then mine, I can get 4+ follow up rounds back on target before he's ready to go again.. What kind of accuracy are you looking for? have you researched ammo for what your looking to do? I'm thinking your looking at $5-6 per rd, I shoot reloads FMJ, AP, API and APIT most I've paid is $2.25pr rd, I just like shooting steel. How far do you plan to shoot? This will make a huge difference, under 300yrds its just a noise maker, most of my shots have been 330yds (terry's range) but before my buddy sold his farm, longest I've shot was 650yrds and hitting 12" steel circles required no effort at with surplus pulled ammo.

I was exchanging a few texts with them, no range restrictions, one thing they didn't answer, do you know if they have steel on the rifle range and pits? Good stuff is Barrett 50, 16 and FA BF.

How is this range? I use to go to Terry's in Manchester, he's banned all the good stuff.....

That guy was shooting at a block of metal 2+" thick, at best API will do 1", on the way home that dude needed to buy a couple Lotto tickets, he is the luckiest guy on earth...

Here's your sign or hold my beer watch this! I don't think there's much to worry about shooting FMJ at 1/4-3/8" plate at 100yrds, I'd be more concerned shooting at 3/4"+ plate at 100-200yrds with FMJ, including API, I usually lean my plate back just in case...

BF will defiantly get the job done, my son shooting our 16 with a 100rd side mount nut sack..

Yellow one is super fast 195 HP, 0-60mph 1:05 minutes

My buddy has a FA MP5 with 3rd burst, I'll admit its super smooth in 3rd burst as well as FA but hey its a 9, I can configure my M16 into a pkg almost in size to the MP5 with more firepower, with a ROF of 650 unsuppressed IMO it is a very controllable weapon, suppressed no gas block somewhere 950+ (Crazy fast), I could turn the gas down and probably get it down in the 450ish range (stupid slow), i just like 650+/- purr's like a kitten...

With practice you can shoot 3rd in FA mode, not hard at all.

They shouldn't tax you, if they do walk away, you'll pay sales tax when you register it here in tn.

Not sure, but I can't think of a reason why they would, I've only seen 14.5" uppers pinned to make legal 16" uppers. My buddy has a MP5SD and I've been wanting to built a 7.5" barreled upper + my suppressor under a 12"ish rail, after this pistol build I'm going to shelf that idea, I'll continue to use my 11.5" it's way more comfortable suppressed/unsuppressed.

You get what you pay for, I just built a AR15 pistol in the show-tell section for $525 not including the junk I had, I bought a complete PSA upper, I'll admit fit and finish is great but just like btq96r said about the BCG, my upper has the cheaper one and that's one of the reasons that upper will never see my pew, pew, pew lower, the quality of my factory colt and bcm uppers are far more superior...

Well all done....I just can't settle on a case yet, so I'll use a backpack for now...

well I've always wonder what it would do, now I know.. I bet the air jacket turned the inside to a jello factory

You defiantly need to double up on HP, I usually shoot 40rds every time I take it out, first time out I shot with ear plugs only, suffered a week of listening in mono...

Usually 50 guys are a nuisance, shooting steel and welding cylinders at 330yrds no effort at all..

You'll need a good 300+yrd range and a big backstop for a 50, your not going to be able to hide a Barrett, I have a 82A1 and it takes up 2 spaces in the safe, also it has a huge ass pelican case too.. BTW: T town resident to.
