  1. I'm the one person here that always says volunteer the information.. but this is the one time I think, if I were a passenger and my gun is concealed where there is no bulge or anything... I'd keep my mouth shut and hands away from it in plain sight. Now if the officer address's you(the passenger) I would then volunteer the information. But you tell a cop on the side of the road that all 4 of you are armed.. he's calling for help. IMHO.
  2. out of sight out of mind.....
  3. I know I posted basically the same thing at 39, but just didnt quote the actual law. To me its a no brainer.
  4. look allot like Colt mechanics to me... Same latch and cylinder. Just not finished out the same.
  5. Its not a matter of property.... there is a leash law in the State of Tennessee. If I'M walking MY dog on a leash... and another animal comes out on a road right of way or onto my property and attacks my dog... then I immediately would consider that an attack on myself and considering the other dogs size I would probably be in immediate fear of my life, or a immediate fear of serious bodily injury... I would then use the appropriate force necessary to repeal the said attack. If use of force with a handgun were in order I would make sure of where the aggressor was and make sure there are no innocents behind it.... then BANG! Btw.. Im a huge Dog lover.
  6. We got some more in today... they were all gone in less then an hour. Its the hottest gun on the market right now.

    pm9 vs. lcp

well having them on order and having them to actually sell is two different things... tell him I'll pay him $275 for everyone he will sell me. So far we've had more then anyone... and Im selling them faster then I can get them.

    pm9 vs. lcp

i love my LCP.... and btw, We have some more on the way. Should be in Friday or Tuesday. First come first serve!
  9. all i can say, like i have said here many times before. Letting them know your packing doesnt hurt a thing... you want them to be courtious to you... be courtious to them. You want a break... give them one and let them know your packing.
  10. three are better then two... send me what ya got.
  11. trying to talk guns to him at a twon hall meeting would be like attending Sarah Brady's birthday party.
  12. hey we'd love to have her, but Im sorry we cant teach the class in Spanish. I know just enough to get me out of a jam when I was a police officer and order a beer and food.
  13. guys this is all a mute point. First of all, as far as I know, the Dept of Safety doesnt have an approved lesson plan in any other language but English. The manditory film, all range commands, and the written test are all in English. I dont see any way around it... technically nor legally. In any event no instructor will probably want any part of it due to liabilities of the language barrior. Anyway, good luck.
  14. CMMG is a better way to go, I simply dont trust anything century builds.
  15. dude, try gunbroker. And we can do the transfer for you. Everyone I get is gone the same day. Havent had any in a while either.
  16. good for you, but its against NCIC/TCIC guidelines to do it like that. They are supposed to be in possession of the item they are running, or be in a position to immediatly take possession of it.
  17. we run numbers free of charge and out of curtisy for our customers. But, you have to bring the gun in and be present to do so. You also have to understand that if its stolen you will lose the gun and the police will have to know where you got it. Since you are volunteering this information there is no criminal intent involved so you shouldnt be sharged as long as you cooperate with them. We have taken lots of guns that were stolen off the streets. Even one that was used to kill a police officer in the line of duty. Several of the stolen guns were returned to the owners, and I actually got a phone call one day from the original owner thanking me for being a responsible shop owner and running the number... that gun had been in his family for many years and was pricless to him.... It made him and us really happy.
  18. it all depends on what exactly your defending...
  19. That used to be the norm, but like my customer I mentioned at the top of the thread... and several others that have called me, its taking longer then 90 days in some cases.
  20. to be honest, that letter is BS... you shouldnt have to wait this long for a freaking renewal. Safety better get thier head out of their... well you know!

    CMMG

we try to keep these in stock but they just keep flying out the door. They are a great deal for sure.
  22. I make it a point to be able to compete with any and everyone, so for the past 14 years I have owned the place I will meet or beat any other local competitors price. But gun dealers have to make a living. So keep in mind, I'll sell it to my customers cheaper then anyone else ... but for all those who come in and want more of a deal then that.... give me the same deal in your business and then we will see if were playing on the same field or not. Example: I had a police officer come in the other day... we quoted him a gun cheaper then anyone else. Beat the closest guy by $20... Then he asked for his "Law Enforcement discount"... so we knock another 10% off for him.. so then he starts "negotiating"... and I don't normally mind that, but geez... he was getting almost 25% off at that point.. and he was wanting to pay way less then my cost. So this is what I told him... "You work for the tax payers right"... he replied "yes"... so I asked him to take a 30% cut in his next pay check and bring it down and let me give it to a charity... He looked at me like I was crazy... then I pointed out to him... "Well thats what your wanting me to do giving you this kind of discount"... "I gotta make a living, just like you". He quit negotiating and bought the gun....

  24. well, we have to be in possession of the gun in order to run the serial number. Thats a rule via NCIC/TCIC... same goes for a police officer running it. Thing is if it comes back on the hot sheet they have to be able to take possession of the firearm and question the person bringing it in. Thus the reason its our policy to have the customer here as well.
  25. i had a customer in yesterday, he went down to the DLTC and turned his in... back on Jan 15th 2008... still hasnt gotten his renewal yet... this backlog is getting old.
