TFA is not registered to lobby?
GLOCKMEISTER replied to strickj's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
All im going to add is Im a member of both TFA/NRA.... and a member/vendor/benefactor here at TGO. All are very important pieces of our Tennessee 2nd amendment puzzle. I dont ever recall seeing or hearing from SAF, GOA, and JPFO unless its a news bulletin talking about a something NRA/TFA/TGO hasnt already addressed and started to find a solution for... at least here in Tn. The thing we need to remember is were all on the same team. The NRA has their place on the national level, but they havent done squat in Tennessee. Actually the old NRA lobbyist was one of the reasons our former speaker had a burr in his saddle for gun bills. They didnt like each other at all. I can honestly say NRA hasnt done nothing compared to TFA/TGO in Tennessee. In his defense... and Im being honest... if we didnt have John Harris, we wouldnt have the "privileges" of carrying handguns in Tn now... much less any of these bills that have passed this session. But, even if they wont admit it, if TFA didnt have friends like TGO that could get our 2nd amendment message out we wouldnt have the success weve had either. Theres lots of people that read this forum for information of what they need to do in contacting their legislature... with the proper information. Those people feel like part of a family and they contribute to our 2nd amendment cause. Think about how many of us made numerous phone calls and emails? I do wish the animosity from certain TFA members would stop, they need to realize were all on the same team as well. About the registered lobbyist thing. Im sure John has his reasons... he's been doing this sort of thing for many many years. -
Since he mentioned O'Charleys did the good Chief forget O'Charleys Manager Nader Bahmanziari, the manager in Murfressboro that was killed going to his car? How about the Bellacinos murders in Hermitage a few years back? Did the good chief forget about those too? These stupid comment by someone thats supposed to have the publics safety in mind sickens me.

If you want the best... www.prifirearmstraining.com Check out their website. Check out the instructors. Its like Gunsite in Tennessee. PRI has their own private facility that has a 75-yard handgun range and a 600-yard rifle range. They are located in Hickman County, Tennessee, less than an hour's drive west of Nashville close to I-40. I have taken their courses and trained with them at Gunsite and other nationally recognized schools, they are top notch. I dont work with these guys nor am I officially affiliated with them. I dont get kickbacks for referals. You asked for the best, so there you have it. You wont see/hear anything negative about them here or elsewhere. They are the Elite Top Notch when it comes to what your asking for and beyond.

How many definite votes to override veto

if you can hurt a gun by dry fireing it, then you sure dont need to shoot it. So they answer is... click away!
-
better say a little prayer.. and keep your fingers crossed, because what Im hearing is he's going to veto the parks one. That will be a much harder one to overide. Especially if hte legislature has already left for their break... they will either have to come back for a special session or deal with the overide in Jan when they return.
-
Better then throwing rocks I guess... But in the end they arent even heavy enough to be a good boat anchor.
-
guys this one's getting overidden next week. What scares me is if he will veto other gun legislation and the Legislature will be out... that will mean overidden in Jan or come back in for a special session. Not trying to be negative but thats what were looking at so when contacting your legislature please ask them to stay in for a few more days until all the gun bills pass.

get a duplicate and put it in the car... they are only $5... problem solved.
