  1. *Just noticed this was an older thread I've already posted in :yuck:
  2. Well I didn't see that one coming...
  3. I've been working thirds for nearly a year and I think I've been out to shoot twice since then as far as I can recall. I'd like to make 2013 the year to change that.   I gave up calling and asking Volunteer Ordinance if they had their range up as it was always that "they were working on it". I'm sure by now it's up and running so I would like to start heading up there on a regular basis. Once a week I think would be nice. I'd also like to try and get in on some local pistol courses as they happen.    I don't really have any "shooting buddies" anymore, the few guys I did know that did any shooting I don't ever see due to work scheduling. Most of my education on topics have been through reading, videos, or asking questions here (plenty of smart folks with answers :pleased:).  While it's one way of doing it, I don't think it's a good substitute for an actual course with an instructor.
  4. It's a great idea, and I'd even take off work for it, but I just couldn't see me driving to Nashville. I've never been, but if it's anything like Atlanta I could never drive in that insanity. :panic:   I've been making sure to fire off emails and letters to my congressmen while also talking to everyone I know at the very least.   Anyone who does head out, stay safe.
  5. I have to say I've loved my Crossbreed as well. Patton mentioned the clips giving some attention, but Crossbreed does sell other clips that can be changed out based on how concealed you want to be.   I can't remember, but I believe if you order them with the holster they will install whatever clips you decide to buy. Might need a double check on that.
  6. This is what I get for assuming I reckon  :yuck: Thanks for everyone who took the time to read. I just didn't know what else to do so I thought this would be my next best bet.
  7. ---fixed----
  8. That was awesome. I had no idea footage like that even existed. It was cool seeing the crazy traffic and hustle-bustle of the people. Chief looks like one heck of a driver on top of that
  9. Well I guess we all made it then.. lol.
  10. I got this as a text this morning a short while ago. I haven't seen this before and no idea where it was posted or how long this may have been circulating around, but I did find it amusing anyways. I though I'd share.
  11. LOL I love it!
  12. I'll definitely have to stop by next time I'm in Chattanooga. Good to hear about your experience
  13. I wanted to say welcome as well. It's better to be prepared than sorry Feel free to ask anything you want around here, these guys have been great about answering all of my questions and being very informative.
  14. Found out about this just a few minutes ago while talking to my Mom. Talk about sickening.
  15. Awww sorry to hear it was an error :-(
  16. I asked about this as well and what I was told is that the local warehouse takes whatever they get in, breaks it up among those stores they supply, and then send it along its way. Walmart seems to be the cheapest local place for ammo but there's just a poor supply of it. Lately I've just been trying to find good deals online and buy in bulk. As far as .22 goes, I typically just get one of the deals Cabela's will run before I run out. Right now, through October 1st, if you're one of their club visa members you get free shipping on anything as long as you use the card. Makes ammo deals even better Just to throw it in here's another .22 ammo deal they're running currently if you're interested.
  17. From Cabela's I don't have any rifles of this caliber so not a useful deal for me, but I'm sure it is for some of you
  18. Signed petitions, sent emails, even threw the NRA more money.
  19. And here I thought he was making his first moves in trying to take over Congrats though. Looking forward to continued reading of your informative posts.
  20. You ain't kiddin
  21. Always wondered about this every time I saw it but would never remember to look it up. Thanks.
  22. Looks like I should stop stalkin and start blabbin.
  23. I was wondering the same thing.
  24. Thanks for the reminder, had gotten that in my email to. I'm sure I'll find a couple things easily enough to use this on.
