This is going on everything I own.... I've seen hydrophobic products in the past, but nothing to this extent. Awesome stuff!

All the ammo I've ever bought was just the rounds wrapped in brown paper in the tins. I've never found any that came already in the clips. It's probably much harder to now anyways with everyone buying everything up. I saw Aim Surplus sold some like this, but they've been OOS for awhile. I'll have to keep an eye out for some to pop up somewhere.

The ones I bought are just chinese junk and bend out of shape. I'll check out the links, thanks.

Where can I find some quality stripper clips? I got some cheap ones off eBay, and as I expected, they're pretty much garbage. Is there anywhere where I can get some real ones or some quality reproduction ones?

What do you feel should be changed, removed, tweaked?

I have to admit... I haven't really visited an Ace since I was a kid, except for getting some propane one day, but I've never seen ammo or guns. I think I vaguely remember a knife display as a kid.... Talk about learning something new.

Working tonight, so plenty of water!

Everyone seems to have their opinion on steel cased ammo. They're either for it or against it. I came across a deal that I thought I'd post up for anyone who's interested. The ammo is listed as Wolf brand but the picture is shown as a brand from LVE. Per Box $7.26 for 35 rounds+shipping Per Case $348.50 for 1680 rounds free shipping - Insurance adds an extra $5.05 Link

I've always used the free option on HR Block. I've been using it for the past few years and had no issues. This year was a little more interesting because I had two W2s for two jobs, unemployment, and where I cashed out my 401k. Took a few minutes to figure out how to go back and add everything. I also always efile it as well and haven't had any issues but they do have the option to print it and send it in. My needs are simple so the free version covers it. *Excuse any typos. Sending from my phone.

Checked the mail and got mine today as well. Thanks :D

I would jump in on getting one. Not sure if I'd carry it or put it up somewhere though...

LOL! I love it

This has already been taken care of. It just took a month to be approved was all. I had never encountered this anywhere I've ever visited so I assumed there must be an issue with my account. Since none of my options for contacting anyone were working this came up as a last ditch effort to see if someone could get a message out (if they were a member) to a moderator to see what was going on. I had said in my first post that I assumed there might be an overlap in interests and membership. I'll be editing the first post now. I didn't post an update because I figured this thread had gotten long since pushed a couple pages back and didn't want to bring it back up. Thanks again.

I saw this topic and thought what the heck, I'll finally fill one out and send it in too. Just finished putting it in the mailbox. I had thought about doing it in the past but never got around to it.
-
That went fast :( *Edit - I just gave them a call to double check that is indeed out of stock (since website says its in stock) and the lady I spoke with said it is indeed gone. She said they may have some next month.

Simple and practical, I like it  I ordered some Mosin ammo as well and it's scheduled to be here tomorrow. I'll have to keep an eye out here and see if anyone else has suggestions on what to do with it.
-
I'm totally stealing the idea. Thanks! I took a look at some of Otterbox dry cases and they could serve the same purpose while being a bit cheaper. Going to do some more Googling and see if I can find cheaper prices on the Pelican case and Otterbox cases.
-
This is great coming from "Rambo"
-
Just grabbed one :)
-
I tell you what at these prices I've almost thought about cashing out.... I guess I'm glad I took advantage of all those deals Cabela's would do. The poor 10/22 has been left at home for every range visit. Boxes of .22 just seem to disappear into the void with that sucker ;) Any .22 use is in the Walther P22 now.

$300 Life Membership in National Rifle Association via Tom Gresham
TN_Hiker replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
I just wanted to say thanks for posting this. I paid for my nephews lifetime membership and they send him all kinds of things, including credit card offers, he's only 4. They're closed right now but I'll send them an email. -
This pretty much. I would search Google for a topic and I would find a thread about it from TGO. I eventually kept coming back here through my Googling so I just decided to go ahead and sign up.

Thanks for the heads up on this! I'll also take a moment to send them a message.

I have a Sig P238 with Rosewood grips and it's the only handgun I have that has wooden grips. I happened to notice something today during some cleaning, on one side the wood has become speckled/rough (the best way I can describe it) in some areas. This is on the side I have it laying down in my drawer and it's the side that is pressed against my body when I'm carrying. I've attempted a picture but you can't really see it with the camera. It's very obvious to the eye though. I keep a piece of neoprene in my drawer to protect the table from any residual oils, cleaners, etc that may be on the guns. I'm curious if that has something to do with it or if it's just the sweat and oil of the body doing it. *Edit: I'm always extremely careful, but I guess a cleaner could have possibly done it as well? I can only throw out guesses since I don't have too much knowledge about it. What is the best way to care for these grips? I definitely want to prevent anymore damage. What about caring for the wood stock of guns in general? Thanks :)
