Just got off the phone with the NRA offering me a deal to upgrade to an Endowment Member for just $250. I haven't seen this pop up in the forums, but maybe I've overlooked it.   I went ahead and took advantage of the deal. I thought I'd let anyone know that might want to watch out for a call. I had actually missed the first call about a week ago when I was asleep, they called back though. If you've missed it they may do the same for you.   *Oh yeah, and I think she mentioned something about a free bag but I really wasn't paying attention... her reading of the script was pretty poor.

I would have done the same thing all the way out the door.

Well if anyone ever finds some here in the US I definitely want to know lol

I found something I just have to try. It claims to be at 250,000 scovilles, but that's only about the heat of a low end habanero. Then again I don't go around drinking habaneros.... I guess it could be more of an intense heat than when eating something hot. Sadly the shipping is almost as much as the vodka itself. Link

If you're looking for something to take care of multiple problems, such as charging phones, light, weather radio, radio, then this is worth the money. I just ordered one for my mom and was very impressed with it. Very nice quality and very clear sound.   The only issue is you will need to buy as charger as it does not come with one. I have several in a drawer from old phones and one worked perfectly fine. It uses a MINI USB charger, not a micro USB. That's the only problem with this product, they don't include one for you.

Honestly my first thought WAS someone getting shot while an officer was trying to mess with the dang thing. Just seems like one more way to have an accident happen.

I'm coming up on a year. I did my class in February and got my permit sent to me in March.

Widely used it claims... first I've ever seen of something like that. Who am I to argue, I'm no expert, but it sure seems like an awkward way of breaking a window.

Take out the Republican part and it sounds like a group run by a bunch of gaming console kiddies, even though they're obviously not gamers and I wouldn't think kids. How they act is about the same though. I would like to think that behavior like that is above anyone older than 12.... Apparently not.

That sounds exactly what I'm wanting /needing. I guess the next question is does anyone have recommendations for where to get that training in the surrounding Chattanooga area? Within an hour driving distance would be ideal.

Phone posting is painful. My new year goal is to get some training and education to start putting range time to actual good use. This may have been better off posted when I got home. Lol. I wondered about taking an Nra defensive pistol course but I wasn't sure what skill level or knowledge was expected so that's why I started with the basic course.

So I wouldn't be learning too much then. What is a good next step for instruction, considering that's about all the instruction I've had? So far I just have to learn things on my own via reading /videos.

Did I pick a bad time to do some learnin or does no one in SE Tennessee do any NRA courses? I decided to see what was available for a basic pistol course and the closest I could find this morning was 1 1/2 - 2 hours away in GA. I also checked on some of the other types of courses and they were even farther away. I'll keep checking the website but I'm not sure how often it gets updated. Excuse any typos. 99% of my gaming is via Steam. They have a growing collection of free games, but the few that are free that I spend time in are Planetside 2, World of Tanks, and Mechwarrior Online.   Just depends on your interest.   You could always play some Zork...

Thanks, checking it out now.    Have to say, they kill you on the shipping. Ordered 880 round crate of 7.62 from SGAmmo and the shipping was still cheaper than what JG is charging for a single tin. I thought maybe it was just a base shipping price, add on another tin and it doubles. Ouch.
