  2. Thanks a ton!
  3. Hey guys I just left my wallet in the limo... be riiiiight back...
  4. Chattanooga seems to be doing much better than I expected. Most everything went down. Memphis ain't looking like a place to visit unarmed.....
  5. Looks like they killed that story quick lol
  6. Well, it certainly provides a new way of thinking...
  7. Nice thanks for the heads up
  8. I'm going to say I know nothing of reloading but I follow SlickDeals forum as I see occasional things to grab for a great price. I came across a post for a reloading kit. I just thought I'd provide the information. You guys know if it's a good deal or a reputable company. Forum Link If posts like this arn't allowed let me know.
  9. That's about the last thing in the world you're going to catch me doing....
  10. Isn't this pretty much like shooting yourself in the foot? I've only been to one a few years ago but I thought they sold firearms in addition to hunting clothing, ammo, etc etc. I don't understand how this is a smart business decision for them. All they've done is slap customers and potential customers in the face. It doesn't seem like Gander has a very good reputation around here anyways based on the posts. The NRA will find other, better, places to host events.
  11. I did honestly play with the idea of possibly ankle carry and maybe getting an LCP. It feels whole lot lighter than the P238. I didn't think pocket carry would be for me, since I have my EDC items and work items shoved in there.
  12. Thanks for the opinions guys. I still don't think I'll be carrying at work. Working in a retail environment one slip up would be the end. I'll definitely be looking into some of the options for the vehicle though.
  13. I can't carry at work and I don't keep a firearm in the car when I work. I have many reasons to be hesitant.... but this morning there was an incident that got me thinking. I left work enjoying the beautiful morning and decided to fill the Jeep with gas. I get to the gas station and start filling up when I hear the sound of a gunshot. In all of about a second my brain is going from fear, dread, to a mild sense of relief as I remember that there's a pawn shop a short ways away in the direction of the shot. Probably just someone test firing a gun around back I think. Seconds turn to minutes, gas continues to fill the tank, the world keeps on spinning, and everything seems OK. Except for me left with the thought of "what if". What if it were instead a botched attempted robbery and I'm stuck as the goober who left his firearm at home? Could end poorly for me or others. Do you guys keep a firearm in your vehicle? If so, what's your method for access/concealment?
  14. Going through the forums reading and just came across this. What a shock... I never would have expected him. I always enjoyed his videos and always learned something with every one of them. The guy looked like a relatively healthy fit person and I never would have expected a diabetic problem to be what would kill a guy like that. It's really sad. I tell ya though... thinking about the hell the grim reaper must have gone through to take the guy out gives me a small smile. Paul will be missed.
  15. Wow. My jaw hit the floor on just reading the title, let alone the story. I think Dave pretty well covers what I'm thinking though. Very well said.
  16. He wasn't joking when he said unaffective... Wish there was more info and pictures.
  17. Really awesome stuff!
  18. I reckon I must be the only one that carries around a SAK
  19. I agree. It's not like they'd come out and say "F'ING ZOMBIES GUYS!" and start a panic. Was there every any information on the guy who was having his face eaten? I hadn't heard anything more on if he was alive, dead, undead....
  20. Wow this is outstanding! It's really too bad it's so far away.
  21. Hello neighbor. For me personally it's pretty much the attention like TMF says.
  22. Thanks guys. I thought I had remembered reading that at some point, but couldn't remember.
  23. If I read the pinned forum post correctly about prohibited carrying then this is not correct since it would need the wording included or do they only need the symbol? Being a new carrier I thought I'd see what you guys had to say and if anyone could post a few examples of correct postings. So far in my travels this is the only sign I've come across and it's posted at the BB&T off of Treasury Drive in Cleveland right at the very bottom of the door. To be honest I wouldn't really expect a bank of all places to be welcoming to someone carrying a firearm... but are there banks out there that aren't bothered by it? Thanks guys.
  24. Probably going to happen sooner rather than later...
