  1. They're from the government and they're here to help.
  2. Yes, Franklin Gun Shop. Marked at $519, but I asked if that was their best price, mentioned online prices, they offered it to me for $469 cash. They have several others, also Winchesters and Marlins.
  3. We were asked to leave our weapons locked in our cars during the classroom portion of the test. Instructor had a revolver and semi auto to go over basic structure and function of each.
  4. I picked up a Rossi M92 lever action, blued with 16" barrel in .357 and a family sized jug of WL Weller Reserve wheated bourbon. I will not be enjoying them simultaneously.
  5. Saw Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern a few weeks back, snapping turtles went in the fryer. He said it was good, like alligator tail. http://www.travelchannel.com/video/how-to-prepare-snapping-turtle
  6. Been my house bourbon for about 12 years now, won more than a few taste tests against higher price competition. Cheers neighbor!
  7. We use both Reliant and Renasant, happy with both.
  8. Feels like the flu. I had it after a minor motorcycle accident years ago.
  9. I've hated BofA since 1976. When my mother passed away, she had a checking account with them, me as a cosigner. It had an appreciable amount of money in it, which I promptly withdrew. A few years back, they were opening accounts and making loans to lillegals without SSN's. Hope they crash and burn.
  10. To paraphrase Billy Bob Thornton in Slingblade; "Ain't got no bass in it".
  11. I have my eye on the Marlin, but damn they're hard to find!
  12. There are varying degrees of hardiness with certain herbs...some rosemary does well, others will not survive a hard freeze. A good nursery will have proper advice. We currently grow rosemary, sage, thyme (regular and lemon), oregano, cilantro (seeds are coriander), lavender, lemon balm, garlic chives, peppermint. These are all perennials. Certain herbs like basil are annual, although they'll sometimes reseed themselves. Echinacia and St John's Wort are also perennial.
  13. Sorry I missed your reply! I was aware of the muletrain, but did not see it.
  14. Why did the bassplayer cross the road? He heard the chicken was a slut. Disclaimer: I'm a bassplayer.
  15. You said the sister is being "beaten down physically" and emotionally. Has she in fact been physically beaten? Go to police dept/ a prosecutor and have her file a statement. If the prosecutor decides it constitutes felony child abuse, they'll file charges, revoke her permit and confiscate her firearm.
  16. My nephew was an undercover detective in Ballimer, his partner got shot in the face, he was lucky to get out unscratched. He left too. Funny how some of the most historic cities in the east, (Philly is another one) have become festering cesspools. I left Connecticut because of the liberal foolery 17 years ago. Welcome to TN!
  17. I know that Tennessee has a state guard that answers only to the governor, would be encouraging to see other states develop similar programs.
  18. Go the cowboy way and start wearing a duster.
  19. My parents were close friends with Joe Higgins, who was a character actor back in the 60's and 70's. Played Nils the blacksmith on "The Rifleman" and was the southern sherriff in the Dodge commercials, had many cameo roles in film. I used to do remodel work for Stefan Schnabel who was on "General Hospital" for 20 years. He also did Broadway productions with Orson Wells and played the Russian Premier in "Firefox" with Clint Eastwood. He was supposed to play the Russian submarine captain in "Red October" but had a Broadway contract he couldn't get out of, so Sean Connery got the gig. Trebec!
  20. Camden is a postcard, about halfway up the coast. Two towns south of there in Rockland is a restaurant where they raise their own livestock, grow their own veggies and bake all their own breads, saw it on Anthony Bourdain's TV show. Here's the link: http://www.primorestaurant.com/
  21. My first choice would be to convert the existing gang box where the light switches are to a junction, cut out the drywall just to the right to install a zip box (the retrofit type with the molly type ears that grab the inside of the drywall, so no stud mount needed, and assuming you have a 16" center frame spacing to the next stud) for relocating the switches, and a zip box below the new junction for the outlet. Do the lights in question have multiple switches? Be sure to take a photo of the way they're wired, label them, whatever method you're cool with, to make sure they're rewired as they were if they are double pole switches.
  22. Make sure you don't bury the junction box.....if you ever decide to drywall your ceiling, it's against code for them to not be accessible. The previous post about having difficulty splicing a cut in an existing line is spot on. I did remodel work for 25 years, I'd be skeptical of having enough slack based on your photo. The other dynamic to consider is where in the existing circuit, aka "run", you're interested in adding the outlet, that may affect the type of receptacle you need and how it has to be wired. Just noticed the light switches on the wall.....why not grab the feed from there?
  23. Just like boiling frogs. I posted this on my FB the other day.
  24. Coupla three times a day.
  25. Dan Strickler, Leak Free Plumbing. 615 424-6247. He's in La Vergne, works all over the metro area. I was in the building trades myself for over 25 years, he's the best I've met.
