  1. Sennheiser e604, rated to 160dbSPL. http://www.zzounds.com/item--SENE604
  2. You're better off getting a pneumonia vaccine. That's usually what kills people as a complication of the flu. If you're younger than 60, you'll need a booster dose after 60. If you're over 60, one shot for the rest of your life.
  3. The polls coming out are constantly weighted with a 10 percent oversampling of Democrats. It's just another form of propaganda to demoralize. Carter and Mondale were both supposed to beat Reagan.
  4. It likely is a hoax, and supports the plausible deniability theory mentioned in the article.
  5. This should be interesting to follow, and I wouldn't put it past the Chicago thugs. Interesting that it hasn't appeared in any major media either. My wife tipped me off on it, saw it on Glenn Reynolds' blog, he's a UT law professor and credible source. http://nosilencehere.com/?p=2398
  6. Some interesting perspectives n Eastwoods non scripted, teleprompter free, rumpled performance: http://hotair.com/headlines/archives/2012/08/31/play-clinty-for-me/ http://hotair.com/archives/2012/09/01/new-florida-poll-shows-vindication-of-eastwood-strategy/
  7. The sad part of all this is that Romney and the RNC elders that steamrollered these rule changes through are still going to have to deal with the TP reps in Congress and the Senate if he gets elected, and there may well be more of them after the election. He's made his political life harder, TP people will push back against his agenda if they don't like it, and he'll be less effective in the long run for it. Short sighted progressive BS.
  8. OP, You mentioned that a drainage pipe had become silted. Are there any streams/wetlands affected? Besides getting a lawyer over the easement issue, the state and feds can wreak havoc on their logging too. My wife is an environmental attorney, she did a lot of work for developers where a project would adversely affects wetlands. Doesn't matter if it's on private land or not. Just a thought.
  9. I moved to TN from Connecticut 18 years ago, for total exasperation with the liberal mindset and politics up there. It was concealed carry only when I left, if it's open carry optional now, that's new, but I'd find it hard to believe it's changed. New Haven is a rough town. My nephew was the Fire Marshal for Yale for a couple of years, and the firetrucks used to have pot shots taken at them when going on calls, he always carried while on duty.
  10. A "purifier" will remove viruses, a "filter" will not. They're a little more expensive, but well worth it.
  11. I'll be pulling the lever for him. Corker is a squish.
  12. There are ways to cultivate water, ie: condensation stills. Drape plastic sheeting over plants and have a collection pan at ground level. Not a great method if you're on the move, but worth it if you're stationary.
  13. All this poseur has ever done is criticize other people, he's never carried any water himself. I've been self employed my entire life and everything he said is anathema to my existance. Given the chance, I'd piss on his head.
  14. I picked up a Rossi Model 92 recently, blued with a 16" barrel. Paid about $550 after tax. Had it to the range just once, but was hitting bullseyes at 100 yards without even messing with the sights. 38 special cycles a bit smoother than .357, but I'm guessing after I put a couple hundred rounds through it, should smooth out. Love it. BTW, some ballistics charts I've seen suggest that 16" is the optimum barrel length for .357.
  15. jimg, You are exactly right. They cannot strip this right or any other in the Bill of Rights from us, they do no originate with government. Not to say a bunch of people won't roll over and let them get away with it....but I'll be in the field with the woman in jtmaze's post.
  16. Welcome aboard from another Yankee transpant (18 years now, I'm almost a native). The fried oysters in the Gulf are pretty tasty.
  17. He acted as a politician and not as a jurist. He was more concerned with the image of SCOTUS as a consequence of the ruling and failed miserably. The can of worms he has opened will plague this country for ages.
  18. I've done four online deals, all with dealers, never had an issue.
  19. Were these dealers or private parties?
  20. I used to practice a bunch with a wrist rocket, using marbles. They fly flatter and faster than ball bearings. I bought a new one a couple of years ago, but having a hard time finding marbles now!
  21. http://www.allgov.com/Top_Stories/ViewNews/Indiana_First_State_to_Allow_Citizens_to_Shoot_Law_Enforcement_Officers_120611 This could get interesting.

  23. I can vouch for Wiiliamson County Medical Center ER, had to go because of a slipped disc in my back on New Year's, they were awesome.
  24. It's a few months old. Sad story.
