1. imo the show was a complete waste of time, the wait to get in was about 45 minutes. There was only a handful of retailers there and they were very low on inventory. If you want a shotgun you'll probably find it, along with some hunting rifles and semi auto .22's. Didn't see any archery vendors. Ammo was in short supply, only saw one seller with pmags, at $40 each. imo, if you are looking for an ar type just stand outside and take your pick of the guys standing in line, they have the best selection! O and the guys at the door were a bunch of ass hats!   to top it off I thought i would ride up to franklin gun shop to at least look at some guns... and for some reason they were allowing people in and out on a one out one in rate,  after about 30 minutes of standing in line that wasn't moving i just left
2. planned on going to since its so close, i've been looking for a nice 22lr handgun or rifle
3. Please don't take what i said to mean that there should be more policing, you guys are doing a great job. I come here many times a day because I know there will be fairly priced deals.  I understand that supply and demand will dictate what items will be sold for. Like someone else said, a fool and his money will soon part ways.    a few ads got yanked for reselling items at an inflated price iirc
4. I haven't seen the active policing on this site by mods like i have on other sites in the classifieds, sigforum comes to mind.  I was within afew weeks of saving enough to buy my first ar when people went crazy, o well, I was patient before, i'll just have to be patient again.
5. I can't wait til prices return somewhat to normal cause an AR in 300 BLK is at the top of my list   has anyone seen a 300 barrel for a SCAR 16?          :yum:

It sure would be nice to see G&L set up shop in Franklin, my wallet would hate it though! Would love to see how FGS reacted to the competition...
7.   exactly, I have to say, I've never been a big fan of striker fired guns, but have found myself wanting a glock 19 more and more lately
8.   I am really hoping this happens too, I just can't rationalize going into debt to buy a rifle right now banking on they might not be available later on
9. what about a HK 45c with and LEM trigger?
10.   that looks like bumper sticker material to me!
11. google HK P30 endurance test, a P30 made it 91.322 rounds, waaay more than i'll ever shoot, most will say Glock and I wouldn't hesitate in buying one to walk the earth with
12.   where is this new store located?
13. Yes it was very crowded but manageable, found some decent deals. Can't wait for the next show.
14. i would definatly attend sunday
15. Runco I feel the same way, for me its 90% about the price and 10% reputation. I'm generally skeptical when salesman start talking. I let the numbers do the talking. I started the thread to become a more knowledgeable consumer and feel that has been accomplished.
16. I've been in the automotive business for almost 15 years now, having worked with various reps from several manufacturers, where the $$ is saved is the tread patterns, which are more noisy and don't wear as well.
17.
If I was a dealer I would make the claim or fuel the rumor mill the box store ones are special or are of lesser quality. Because i want you to buy from me. Think about it from the manufacturer side. They must be the same, or they would run the risk of alienieting the customers or open themselves up to some liability.
For example, the name brand tires you buy at costco, Sams or Walmart are not the same as the tires you get at a retailer. They are cheaper and made in special runs so the discount chains can buy in bulk at a cheaper rate.
18. Thanks, I was hoping there was no difference
19. Are the guns manufacturers provide to the big box stores like Walmart any different from the ones available at other gun retailers? Specifically in this case are Colts any different? I'm not knowledgable enough to be able to handle the gun and know if anything is off right away. Thanks
20. very nice John, very nice, i love the scoops in the background! they rock
21. I missed the first two seasons but got caught up when amc ran every episode back to back before season 3 started and got hooked. I have no idea how things go in the comic but I enjoy finding out. I am glad the guy in prison was able to find him some slippers for evening relaxation lol
22. Was the show any good, how were prices?
23. yes had the same problem this morning
