  1. come to think of it, my dog gets away with more than my wife, I don't have many rules as long as you act decent and don't smoke.
  2. i think after reading what you guys have said i'll have to go read the book for sure
  3. I haven't read the book but do plan on seeing the movie. My walking dead itch needs to be scratched.
  4. Thanks for the reminder!
  5.       thanks, that makes sense now
  6.   I'm in the same boat as the OP, looking for a shotgun for home defense, and know nothing about them. What is a choke and what purpose does it serve?

    Sig p220

    P220's rock!
  8. the first handgun I ever bought was a factory nickel Sig P228 two years ago which I quickly sold to a gentleman in Hawaii who wanted it much more than I did, which funded a HK P30 and 45c, no regrets
  9. Very nice!
  10. and as far as "defensive" I mean carry to defend yourself
  11. thanks guys,     I see your point, I use to believe only one caliber was needed. I was a noob. As stated, I just recieved my carry permit and am trying establish a well rounded system. Not trying to start a caliber war, just trying to get an idea of what others were doing.  I have recently come to the conclusion that it may be a good idea to be able to shoot as many different calibers as possible just because you never know what is going to happen or be available.
  12. I'm not sure if I asked this in the right section but how many different calibers do you stock for your self defense pistols? I've slowly stocked up on 9mm and. 45 but after recently getting my carry permit I've tossed around the idea of 40S&W just cause its been somewhat always available lately.
  13. I went yesterday morning and the crowd was low, but so was the quality of merch. I went looking for a holster and a surefire x300 and found neither. AR's are coming down but selection was poor. The show last December was much better. I really need to start reloading so I can stop by David's table and have a good reason to go to these shows!
  14. Congrats on the M&P!
  15.  factory nickel HK P7M8 and a 1979 date coded Sig P220
  16. ^ thats what i always do
  17. I know what you mean. I've only been into guns for the last three years or so but I love rewatching movies then going to the site and learning more about the weapons used.
  18. Thinking the wife and I are going to try. I need a holster.
  19. Very nice looking Sig
  20. I know its not on your list, but if the Nashville Armory has one try a HK P30/P30L or a P2000. The P30L would make one heck of a HD/range gun. The P30 feels like it was sculpted to my hand. I haven't learned to like striker fired guns yet.
