  1. Save your money! Several bricks of 22 for $60 and up, only a couple of vendors with decent selections to look at. Overall it was more of a flea market with plenty of jerky, pork rinds, books and t shirts.
  2. The glock 30s makes sense if you really like your 22. Same size as your 22 and same manual of arms. If you just want to try something different take a look at the HK45c. It's a very versatile and very reliable firearm. You can change the da/sa trigger to HK's version of dao called LEM and have a trigger similar to the glock. It should be roughly the same size as the glocks to. Ive heard good things about the S&W M&P 45c as well but have never shot one.
  3. Nice looking Sig!
  4. Only tools
  5. Congrats, ive heard the 2022's have really nice triggers
  6. wouldn't mind knowing what the Sig 225 and 228 went for
  7. kind of suprised a missing teenage girl hasn't made the local news stations websites yet
  8. prayers sent for a fast return!
  9. are golden sabers subpar or something?
  10. Glad to hear you're getting the results you expect out of this one.
  11. Federal HST and Speer Gold Dots, 124gr
  12. Anyone go today?
  13. My wife and I went down this same road about 6 weeks ago. We were able to meet a fellow tgo'er at the range to try some of his guns as well as his wife's. She was able to try a Sig 238, a 9mm shield, a M&Pc 9mm, and an EMP 40. Of those she really liked the sig and the shield with the shield fitting her hand better. Then we went to the Nashville Armory to rent some others. She handled a few glocks and didn't care for them and shot a kahr cw9 and hated the trigger. She now owns a shield and loves it!
  14. saw a bunch of cci 22lr at the local walmart the other day, hope its a sign of things to come
  15. how does it compare to the Murfreesboro shows?
  16. Spent some more time at the range today with mrs hlb14. Ran 200 rounds of a combo of 115, 124 and 147 grain through the shield with only one fte from a 147gn round. Ran a few mags of s.d. rounds through it for the first time without a hiccup. You can tell the springs are really starting to loosen up. O, by the way she loves the gun! still searching for a holster she likes...
  17. Watched the replay this morning and thought it was very interesting. Wish they would've followed one's journey to get home once everything started.
  18. Really glad to read all the happy Shield comments, bought my wife one a few weeks ago and she loves it. So far only 50 rounds of 124gr fmj through it with no problems at all, may try some 147gr but wont try any 115 til at least 300 or so down the tube.
  19. the wussification of America continues...   if anyone should get fingers pointed at it should be the loosing head coach first for such a poor coaching performance and second for scheduling such an onslaught in the first place
  20. just bought one for my wife and she loves it!
  21. might try and make it Saturday afternoon Ishel- sent you a pm
  22. managed to make it to Charlie's before he closed yesterday to run her first 50 rounds through her new gun. Mrs hlb14 was so excited! 50 rounds of Nato 124gn ran without a hitch. I did notice twice when she inserted a new mag the slide would not return all the way to battery (when the slide returns forward all the way??) other than that it put brass in a nice consistant circle :pleased:
  23.   thanks Ted, the process of helping her find her gun was alot of fun! Mrs hlb14 really learned alot about different guns, triggers and such. She hates the super long trigger pull of the Kahr CW9 we rented for example. And the best part... she finally understands the need for more than one gun :pleased:
  24. was in the cool springs store last night and noticed ALL ammo had been moved back to where it use to be
