  1. Had a good time this morning, wish I would've had a chance to talk to everyone. Thanks to everything weapons for hosting. Found out this morning I've known hipower outside of the gun community for close to fifteen years maybe... and didn't even know it was hipower! Thanks tgo David for putting it on, I got to talking and forgot all about the stickers I was gonna buy from you.
  2. Hopefully there will be some TGO swag for sale too...
  3. Very cool! Love the color too. Curious as to your plans on suppressors aswell. I'm planning something very similar to this and don't know if the 7" kmr rail is the way to go to assure clearance for a suppressor down the road, or if a 8" kmr rail will work.
  4. Very cool! Thanks for sharing that
  5. Another vote for Martin's, haven't tried the others yet.
  6. The vp9 I owned shot like a fricken laser beam, kind of regret letting that one go.
  7. definitely want to check out the louisville slugger tour
  8. After attending last years NRA show, Mrs hlb14 and I have decided to make it a yearly getaway.  I've never stayed in Louisville, are there any areas to avoid? Also, is there anything else that is a must do? Any must eats?
  9. Not a nightmare, but I saw a tacops model in 357 yesterday at guns and leather in greenbrier yesterday.
  10. This year could be an expensive one. Tops on our list are several uppers for the wife and i. She also wants a sig p320c. I'd like to add a s&w 617 and a magazine fed semi auto 308 of some sort.
  11. +1 to every bit of that, love the ppr, can't wait til next year   congrats knewcomb
  12.   No worries man, thanks for sharing your experience.  Good customer service goes a long way in my book.  The Daniel Defense gun looks better every day.
  13. Pretty sure it was posted in the league message prior to the one currently on display. 300/150/50 iirc
  14. Having owned a VP9, seeing this wouldn't prevent me from owning another. The VP wasn't designed to go through "military trials", it was an answer to what the people wanted. A striker fired P30. Seeing it fail so quickly was disappointing, but not surprising. I may be a bit biased though, as I am a fan of all things HK.
  15. Had you not said the glocks grip was too big I would've said USP 45, but since you did I'll nominate the HK45. The grip is really nice, and while the da isn't the best when new, it gets better with use and the sa is really nice. But this gun shines with the light LEM trigger. Or wait for the VP45...
  16. If I'm honest with myself this will be a range toy 99% of the time. I don't hunt and I'm not going into battle with it. I am however planning to move more out in the country next year. I would like to shoot some long range, say 500 yards or so, all while delivering more power than 5.56.
  17. i'm thinking the blood was from deanna's son who was manning watch and  pulled a nelson
  18. I've wanted a semi auto 308 for a while now, and was planning on making a purchase by October of next year. However, with FN running their free Geissele Super Scar trigger with purchase of a 17, it's making a SCAR hard to pass up.  It is still a big pill to swallow initially though, and my question is is it worth the price of admission? Those of you that have or have had the 17 would you buy it again?   In general the rifle will be used for punching holes in paper both up close and at distance.    thanks
  19. My dad gave me a treager pellat smoker about 8 years ago. I love it! I still use a charcoal grill for certain things but the low and slow method really gives good results. eta: the only thing I've had to replace on it was the cover due to it being weathered
  20. Thanks for the heads up, we live a half mile from there.
  21. That looks really nice!
  22. Not extreme at all, a list of people not to do business with would be quite nice.
  23. So what do you guys look for when a trade is offered? Whenever I offer a trade, I always try to offer a player or players that will help the other team, not just guys off the bench. If a trade is offered and not to your liking, do you counter or just ignore it completely?
  24. Can't speak to the 45c, but the night and day difference the apex trigger did for my wife's shield was worth the price of admission.
