I'm looking for a good honest mechanic/shop in the Murfreesboro area. I just relocated to the Bell Buckle area and an looking for someone to work of late model gm and toyota vehicles. I think I'd like to try independent shops for a change and stay out of dealerships. Thanks

All of this, it was a much better facility. I was glad to see Gray Guns is going to start selling drop in parts to reduce the reset on HK's p-series. MCX owners might be glad to know that Geissele is developing a SSA variant for the updated bolt carriers.

Twice now I've inquired about buying a gun from the same local dealer and they've told me the address on my drivers license has to match current address on file with tdot. They've said this is an ATF requirement. I've moved several times in the last few years and have always kept my address updated but never asked for updated licenses. I've never been told this by another dealer and it hasn't kept me from purchasing elsewhere. Have rules changed or is the dealer just being strict?

No, my dad got sick a few weeks ago and we decided to postpone the trip. Thanks to all for the tips though, we're going to plan on attending the night race in a few months.

Very cool guns and story to go with them. Nice score!

With the spring race coming up in a few weeks I'm thinking of planning a trip up to watch. I'd like to take my dad to celebrate his recent retirement. He hasn't been since the 70's and I've never been. Any advice on where to park, sit etc would be appreciated. Also do you walk through metal detectors or get wanded?

It's my understanding that you're to have your permit on you at all times when carrying. I'd be patient and wait til it comes in the mail. I renewed mine last month and had a new permit in the mail 2 weeks later. Welcome to the forum by the way.

I was disappointed in Rick when the trash people turned, c'mon man! But then Carl went into badass mode and restored my faith.

Have you tried a good gun belt? It makes a big difference.

Thought about going, but like others have said, not big on crowds. Especially without my little buddy on my hip. Instead I took the day off work to watch it on TV. Then me and the misses may go to the range afterwards.

Yes the USP45c is slightly shorter in barrel length, however the slide is very blocky. The grip dimensions are pretty much identical and they use the same magazine. The hk45c on the other hand has a longer sight radius and the slide has its edges "melted" in all the right areas so much so that it carries much easier for me. A common complaint for the hk45c is that the grip is slippery when firing the gun. Rubberized talon grips fix this and really makes the hk45c a pleasure to shoot. I found the hk45c to be a bit more accurate for me. I've owned both and quickly sold the usp. At the end of the day the usp didn't do anything better than the hk45c for me and the hk45c carries better.

The only one I have duplicates of is my carry gun. One gets carried every day, one gets used at the range for practice and for dry firing and another sits in safe incase one goes down etc. I like using a separate gun for practice and carry. I don't have to clean the range gun after every trip and I don't have to unload and then reload the carry ammo. eta - I plan on acquiring a 4th soon after learning they started making them in Germany again... I have a problem

I hope those P7's don't get locked up never to see the light of day again.

Let's get some trades going.... Who wants Adrian Peterson?

For me I Iike the same manual of arms. I like the same trigger pull every time, and it must be hammer fired. This led me to HK's LEM. The one that does it best for me is the 45c light LEM. It's the perfect balance of size, concealability and firepower for me.

The paddle has become very instinctive, I have a hard time using American mag releases now. My trigger finger works best for me, I don't have to adjust my grip at all to drop the mag.
-
I was able to pick one up not long after they came out. It shot like a laser... however I started to feel like it was having a negative effect with the lem I carry every day. I should've kept it.

I'd like to take the family to see a ball game at the new park. Anyone know if they're posted?

We had a good time, but agreed with everything monkeylizard said. Traffic and parking sucked. Hopefully atlanta will be better.

I've wanted an real sp89 for awhile now but they're way out of my price range. When this was announced it got excited. Come to learn it comes without a trilug barrel, no paddle mag release and is way over priced, no thanks. eta, come to find out the original sp89 and original mp5 also didn't come with the trilug barrel or paddle mag release. That crow sure did taste good... On the plus side, I was able to confirm today both the vp45 and vp9sk are in the works
