  1. I have considered an SOE LPAK. Would mount on the back of the carrier instead of on the front/sides where space always seems to be at a premium... http://www.originalsoegear.com/products/lpak-low-profile-aid-kit
  2. He also says EVERYTIME he posts some kind of rant that they are in the minority of his business. Most that I can remember are because of customers that think he keeps everything in stock when his website plainly states a possible 6-8 week wait and then complain about why it hasnt been shipped....I would probably get tired of that myself at some point...

  6. Seeing as how I just finished my first build, I would have to 2nd that comment...
  7. 2014 allowed me to start storing ammo for bad times.  I bought a few guns and most importantly, just built my first AR from parts. I made my first Form 1 SBR and bought a can that I am anxiously awaiting.  I was able to get some self defense handgun training.  I hope to continue in 2015 to build on some of those same things.
  8. Nice...just a little smaller diameter than most other free floaters...makes the gun noticeably lighter as well...
  9. Here is my Spikes Tactical AR that I assembled with my Christmas gifts. Spikes Upper/Lower receiver Spikes CHF 14.5 barrel Spikes BCG Midwest Industries SS Keymod rail Vltor buffer/buffer tube and buttstock PSA LPK-would like a SSA trigger at some point Misc Seekins Precision to replace some of the LPK components Silencerco flash hider for when my can gets out of jail
  10. Welp, I am a grease guy. Lubed up the BCG, charging handle, and FCG. Ran 3 mags through the rifle with no issues. Checking some of the screws for make sure they held torque. Tried to get some kind of zero on my red dot, but was more concerned with getting on target and make sure I didnt have any malfunctions. Feels great to build my first gun and it work without any issues. Thanks again for the help. Will try to post up some photos when I get back home...
  11. just tried cycling rounds again...no issues....just gonna go shoot the thing tomorrow and see what happens...
  12. Buidling my upper receiver tonight.  Got everything installed and connected it to the lower and put a mag in to cycle some rounds with the charging handle to see how it would feed and eject.  When I load the first round, bolt closes nice and smooth.  When I pull the charging handle back to eject the round, it seems a little rough, not as smooth as my other ARs.  When I let the charging handle go to release the bolt and load another round, sometimes the round feeds smoothly and sometimes it will jam up.  Just curious if there is something that I have done incorrectly? There have been a couple of double feeds also during this process....   I torqued the barrel nut per the instructions that came with the handguard and it is indexed so that the gas tube will properly fit through the receiver.  I have also checked to make sure that the bolt cycles and does not catch the gas tube while moving forward...smooth as butter.  The ammo I tried to cycle was federal xm855...not some cheapo stuff.  Anything I need to check?  Could it just be the fact that the gun is a new build and needs some action?  Just don't want this thing blowing up in mine or my wife's faces tomorrow at the range....   Thanks for any help you can give...

  21. This video is pure propaganda made to prey on the ignorant minds of kids. It portrays any "normal" home. It makes a quiet mom reading a book seem like she cant be trusted with a firearm. It is made to make kids question their parents and believe that to be normal or safe, etc you shouldn't own guns. I am no longer amazed at the lengths that these tolerant people will go to sway uninformed people into their corner...
  22. Well since we're in TN it'd be more like meth...lol...
  23. you know you NEED an extra Aimpoint.... :koolaid:
