  1. That's why I initially signed up.  A way to keep in touch with more distant friends and relatives.  I rarely interact with the people I am friends with, if at all.  I am tired of "like" buttons, and just the B.S Facebook is as a whole....
  2. Something like this might work and not hit your spare when mounted.  Tray racks tend to hold the bikes more securely than a rack you hang the bike from.  Protects the bike components and your vehicle's finish.  Might also work so you can open your tailgate.  I will say that if worrying about not opening your tailgate when you are biking is an issue, maybe you shouldn't be MTB'ing... :stir: :D   http://www.hollywoodracks.com/bike-racks/hitch-racks/trailrider-hitch-rack.htm
  3. So I am quitting "the habit."  I've seen numerous other people state their reasons for leaving or not joining to begin with; and I am finally coming to my senses.  The realization that the social network is nothing but a joke.  It's like a veil over reality, fake and superficial.  I have wasted so much time looking at mindless ads, posts and game requests instead of actually reading something with substance.  I feel like I can learn more from interacting with you guys here even though I may not always see eye to eye, that's life.  Now I have time to actually spend using my mind instead of placating it with nonsense...
  4. I'll have to go with Crossbreed also. Have had one for every pistol I have owned. They seem to be pretty well non-existent after you put it on and throw your shirt over for concealment...Decent price and fairly quick turnaround for a custom holster...
  5. Nice, thanks for the info. I dropped my receiver off yesterday to get engraved. Should have it back in about a week. With the turnaround on the apps you guys are giving, I should have my approval back around middle of the month if there aren't any errors on my e-file...
  6. dude, you live in a postcard....i wish i was there right now...
  7. I pretty much have what I want firearms wise, until the fancy strikes me....I even have a S&W 45 Magnum....bet nobody has one of those...
  8. Another quick question.  Just for S's and G's let's say there's an issue with my e-file.  Will I have to check the website to know there is a problem or would I get an email directly from the ATF?   Phone call, snail mail?? Just curious on that process....
  9. I submitted my Form 1 5 days ago (working days). I am sending my lower off to get engraved tomorrow with about a 10 day turnaround. I didnt read far enough before filing or I would have possibly done the engraving before filing. Hopefully I will luck out and get my approval by mid November on my Form 1. I dont expect anything on my Form 4 until close to spring next year...
  10. The guy at the shop I bought mine from said wait times were 4-5 months...hopefully that will hold true for me...
  11. jacob

    New piece

Guess not if you care to have a traditional look...
  12. Please dont say those hurtful things to us new guys...
  13. I went ahead and ordered the kit in the link of my OP....thanks for those the chimed in...
  14. I could tell a big difference from my DLP when I replaced it last year, very realistic as you said....just don't watch it too much, it will rot your brain...lol
  15. mid 80s here in Memphis...fighting the crud....guess it's to be expected this time of year with all the temp swings...
  16. Thanks, will holler at him tomorrow...
  17. I filed my Form 1 yesterday and am looking for a stock.  Found this ( ).  From my reading online the A5 buffer tube would work well for SBR, but am curious about Vltor stocks in terms of quality/reliability.  I have Magpul stuff, but was looking for something a little different look wise.  Any other opinions are welcomed...just trying to keep my parts box from having more additions, although that is probably an exercise in futility...
  18. I am pretty pumped about getting approved.  If I don't have any issues with the e-file and paperwork I attached then it will help boost my confidence a little about the process.  Now I just need to decide on a stock....and try to convince my wife to "allow" me to get another Aimpoint to mount up....
  19. Just got it submitted online.  Hopefully I will see the turnaround you did for your PAP....
  20. Can anyone recommend an engraver in the Memphis area?  Will need one once my SBR stamp comes back...
  21. Sig's website shows my barrel length to be 10".  I don't really see myself doing a whole lot of playing around until I become more versed in the law. Aside from putting a different buffer tube and a collapsible stock on this one I should be done for awhile...
  22. Great!  I am new to the NFA stuff and don't want to do anything to create extra havoc in my life....Thanks for the info...
  23. I am converting a Sig P516.  This link shows the OAL of the SBR version of my pistol of 29.6in.  Can I just use that length on my Form 1?   http://sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/sig516-cqb-10-sbr.aspx
  24. I am trying to e-file a Form 1 to SBR an AR pistol.  They are asking a question about overall length.  My barrel length is 10.5in, but how do I determine the overall length?  Also, I don't want to be restricted from putting different uppers or barrel lengths along the way on this receiver.  How  do I input this info so I don't get an error message that delays this getting processed? Or being illegal by having a barrel on this rifle out of ignorance?  Sorry if this has been addressed before, haven't seen it during my search...
