  1. I like them and use them(not just because they look cool, either:)). They take some getting use to much like anything else. They are NOT a target sight if your strictly using the 19 for target shooting then you should probably go another route. I have used them in a couple classes and for IDPA, they do fine. Also have them on a long gun.

Midway has them for $109 and you can install yourself. Check youtube for the install video.

  2. ok, took the rifle to a range today. and I could even hit near where I aimed in the dirt nor could another person there. I noticed brass marks in the bore of the muzzle on hte muzzle brake and even some chipping if I was it correctly:eek: what is it with people putting on cheap gay chinese junk onto quality firearms:shake:

gonna remove it and measure hte diameter and possibly get it threaded

Threading is not that that hard and you don't have to remove the barrel. If you don't want to buy a die here is another link where you can rent one:dinzagarms

If you try loctite or something along those lines, its going to loosen(heat) and you'll have the same problem again.

  3. I've upgraded my nightstand gun(s) from a 12ga to one of the ARs with the Surefire VFG and my rail'ed 1911 with a X300 light, two 10 round mags.

Between that, two Boxers, fenced in back yard and the alarm system....bring it.

Call me if you need back up or to call in a fire mission.

  4. I'm interested in this. Would I be better off to bring a semi auto in an IWB rig, or a J frame in a pocket holster? I carry the J frame more often, but how easy is it to translate the stuff I learn between modes of carry? Even though I carry the J frame more, it seems like I would be better off to go through the course with the semi auto.

Train like you fight. If you carry a J frame everyday then you need to know how it runs in a given situation and train with it. You may find that a certain mode of carry does not work for you. Better to find out in training than a real situation when your life depends on it.

  5. Two spare mags carried SOB in a Galco mag holder for whatever my primary gun is that day.

    carry spare mags

always carry them in the same place

TRAIN by relaoding from your mag holder, even if on the range.

Ditto, anything can happen. Spare mags are just a bit more insurance from Murphy. Pick your favorite holster manufacturer and I'm sure they have a good mag pouch thats usable.

  6. Can the thumbhole stock models (norinco) be converted to a regular stock?

Yes, just did a Mak 90. It did take some attention with a dremel and file for correct fit though.

Just for the record, a WASR is a great gun if your picky when buying. There are decent rifles out there that can be found for a good price. That being said, the deal on the Arsenals are about the best going right now. Arsenal builds a great rifle from my experience.

  7. FYI it shoots fine. I carry 124gr Rangers and these feel and shoot very similar to them. 17yrds is the max I've "practiced" at but pretty darn accurate for government work...

I've ran about 700rds here latley throught both my Glocks as well as my Tec-9 and AB-10 with no issues at all. Pretty dirty stuff but no big deal for the price....it's nothing but practice ammo and cheap stuff at that. No different to me than shooting wolf. They actually come sealed in a white vacum bag and most of the boxes are usually broke. My 1000rd "case" was from 1987 and though the brass was dull, I have had no issues with it...

This is what I have left of the ammo....I plan on getting more while I can...

124gr Paki Next to a Wally World Winchester white box 115gr .. Brass isn't bad or corroded.

The broken box on the left actually had 3 extra rounds in it. The other broken boxes only had 50rds but none were short...

Thanks for the first hand info, may give it a try.
