1. The easiest thing to do would probably be to find a complete upper and lower build kit that fits the bill. You can always make changes to it down the road, or just build you a second one exactly how you want it. Because this build is starting with the TGO upper and lower, I'm building this puppy exactly how I want it, piece by piece. It will definitely cost more than I'll care to admit, but you only live once.
2. I figured a fair number of people wouldn't follow through, but I was imagining maybe 25%, not 60%. Because they have put so much work into this, I hope CMT doesn't end up being disappointed with a possible lack of expected interest. Maybe everyone was waiting for today, pay day, to roll around.
3. I received an email from Chris at US Gun Source. He's been very eager to get this issue resolved, He just informed me that Noveske will be getting in contact with me to take care of the exchange. He's already received his return authorization information, so I suspect I will be receiving mine in the not too distant future.
4. First, decide what its intended purpose will be; hunting, plinking, precision shooting, home defense, mixture. Once you figure that out, you'll have a slightly easier time choosing between the zillions of parts on the market.
5. Because those blem uppers and lowers generally come with a significant discount, my OCD has learned to accept them.
6. I am definitely outnumbered on this one. I posted something about it on Arfcom about it, and got hammered for whining.  :biglol:
7. I'll either sell it or send it back and hope for a better one.
8. That is one hell of a gift. I've been wanting a SP101 to send to Gemini for quit some time. Post some pics, please.
9. Yes. That's normal.
10. Clean kill.
11. According to the seller, every single one he has in stock is messed up. It's not easy to see the damage until you take it out of the plastic, so he didn't notice the issue. He's waiting to see what Noveske is going to do, but he may have to send all of them back to his distributor.
12. I contacted Noveske and the company I purchased it from. Noveske told me to return it to the seller. Waiting to hear back from the seller.
13. This is what a green tip 5.56 will do.
14. It looks like it's been spun inside the packaging, rubbing the finish off with the four plastic "tabs" inside the packaging. The package appears to have been factory stapled, so I'm not sure how this happened. Bummed.
15. I do apologize for that. That wasn't my intention. I didn't intend for it to come across as if I was judging you for your score. If I could have gotten them for that price, I would not have passed up the opportunity to own them.
16.
The seller didn't know what he had, didn't want to take the time to find out and said his kids didn't want them. He lives in a million dollar house on a lake. I'm going to make sure they have a good home for another 50 years. I'll shoot them and keep them in tip top condition. Interesting that the fellow only shot the Scout. The other three were given to him by his Dad who wasn't into guns according to the seller.
If that's the case, screw, em. In all seriousness, I'm not condemning you for the score. I sometimes forget there are people who don't feel the same way many of us do about it guns and their history.
17. Sadly, I don't think 2014 is going to see much of a change.
18. I don't care about your errors. I still cannot join the AR social group. :-P
19. He clearly needs a hair cut.
