Can't lock my Trading Post threads
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Feedback and Support
I no longer have the Topic Moderation button, either. -
You'll need one for your build, and that was a good price. I would have bought one, but I'm going with a different BCG for this build.

I thought I was once able to lock my own classified threads. Now I cannot. Also, still trying to find out why I cannot join or create a Social Group. Could these issues be a result of my Lifetime Benefactor status?

It would have been nice if something could have been worked out with some FFLs on that side of the river. Even with the additional shipping costs, they are still a great deal. Once you get it in your hands, you'll never think about that $11 again.

They do not manufacture lowers for other companies (including group buys) with the mag well finger grooves like those on their UHP-15 model lower, keeping that feature specific to their brand. This has something to do with Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) agreements they have in place with national distributors for the UHP-15 lower. In other words, we'd have had to pay full price for the lowers with finger grooves. Keeping the price down was of great importance when putting this deal together. It's a trade-off, and one I can live with.

Based on the computer generated rendering of the lower, and the lower that's in progress, it appears those grooves are not included on this lower. I didn't know they sold a lower without them. Thought that was kinda one of their trademark details.

I've been assuming since all of their lowers appear to have those, these would as well. Hope that's the case.

Looks like they are starting to ship them back today....With increased trigger pull. http://www.springfieldrecall.com/RecallUpdate.asp XD-S™ Voluntary Safety Recall Update Status Updated 10/18/2013 This information applies only to XD-S™ pistols in the serial number ranges below Springfield 3.3 XD-S™ 9mm pistols - serial numbers between XS900000 and XS938700 Springfield 3.3 XD-S™ .45ACP pistols - serial numbers between XS500000 and XS686300 We are pleased to announce that the process of upgrading XD-S™ pistols has begun, and we will start shipping TODAY on a first-received/first-upgraded basis. In our last update, we reported that upgraded pistols would start shipping sometime next week. But our team has been working around the clock and we are thrilled to start shipping today. We have greatly increased our staff to get upgraded pistols back to customers quickly, and we are committed to achieving the fastest turnaround times possible. For now, we are unable to provide specific return shipping date ranges, but we do expect to share more information next Friday after we've had a full week to gauge how efficiently we will be able to complete this process. When upgrades are finished on individual firearms, customers will receive a shipping notice and tracking information at the e-mail address they provided for the XD-S™ recall. And as a token of our appreciation for our customers' patience and support, we will also be enclosing an XD-S™ extended magazine with X-tension sleeve with each pistol we return. As we reported last week, our engineers have redesigned the grip safety and created more positive engagement between the sear and striker on the upgraded XD-S™ pistols. Our solution delivers the advantages of a smoother and more consistent trigger feel with just a slightly increased trigger pull. We chose this option based on the two most important attributes to self-defense firearm owners - safety and reliability - and we are confident that our customers will be extremely pleased with their upgraded pistols. We want to again express our deep gratitude to all of our valued customers for their loyalty to Springfield Armory®. Please click the FAQ link in the red bar on top of this page to view our updated FAQ. This Springfield XD-S™ Recall Update will be updated every Friday through the recall process. Please check back for updates. As a reminder, do not use your 3.3 XD-S™ until the upgrade has been performed. To receive updates by text message, text XDS to 25827

In my opinion, it is clearly a packaging issue. The $10 over retail price aside, If it was going on an existing rifle that's already seen some use, I wouldn't sweat it. But this is going on the TGO build, so I may be being extra picky. While these are ultimately a tool, a well-built custom/semi-custom firearm is almost like artwork to me. It must look good, even for a short time.

Do what? :stunned: Are you serious? :stunned: People had the nerve to send you such messages? :stunned: Some people's children. I hope you banned them immediately.

Oh the Horrors...26k of rare bourbon stolen
TripleDigitRide replied to KahrMan's topic in General Chat
The thief will not get away with this. No way they are letting this slide. -
The easiest thing to do would probably be to find a complete upper and lower build kit that fits the bill. You can always make changes to it down the road, or just build you a second one exactly how you want it. Because this build is starting with the TGO upper and lower, I'm building this puppy exactly how I want it, piece by piece. It will definitely cost more than I'll care to admit, but you only live once.

I figured a fair number of people wouldn't follow through, but I was imagining maybe 25%, not 60%. Because they have put so much work into this, I hope CMT doesn't end up being disappointed with a possible lack of expected interest. Maybe everyone was waiting for today, pay day, to roll around.

I received an email from Chris at US Gun Source. He's been very eager to get this issue resolved, He just informed me that Noveske will be getting in contact with me to take care of the exchange. He's already received his return authorization information, so I suspect I will be receiving mine in the not too distant future.

First, decide what its intended purpose will be; hunting, plinking, precision shooting, home defense, mixture. Once you figure that out, you'll have a slightly easier time choosing between the zillions of parts on the market.
