  1. Personally, I think the whole "don't pull your weapon unless you're prepared to shoot" talk is more for those who may not have the guts to pop a cap in someone's ass. I don't think this is a one-size-fits-all answer.   So much of your decision making is going to be situational. There have been many situations that were deescalated simply because someone pulled a weapon. Will the outcome be the same every time? No. But you must be as prepared as possible for any number of possible scenarios. Each is likely going to require s different set actions and reactions. You probably won't really know what those actions and reactions are until you find yourself in one of those situations.
  2. Nope. Never had to do that.
  3. Those prices sound pretty close to what they are around the Nashville area. If you can find it, I see no reason not to buy it.
  4. That doesn't look factory to me. It looks like someone did a bit of milling on that upper.
  5. Thank you. I think I'm going to go with the MAS Defense fluted tube.
  6. Here's some photos, trying to show the difference I'm seeing.
  7. Does yours have the flat or convex end? By end, I mean part closest to the body.
  8. While trying to decide on a pistol buffer tube, I've been looking that RRA's offering. Is it just me, or do some of their pistol buffer tubes have a flat end, while others have a more convex end? Was this a change somewhere along the way? Anyone know which one s most recent?
  9. I'll be using the Noveske QD end plate, so I'll have to bust out the file. Thanks for the info.
  10. Does the little "nub" on the end plate need to be filed down with a tube like this?
  11. Just wanted to make sure. I was going to go with the Phase 5, but I don't really care for the white lettering on the tube. I think I'm going to go with this, also adding the 3"-4" foam tube. I think that will look good.
  12. Is there any reason this wouldn't work? My main concern (not that I'm a sissy or anything) would be the ability to get it tight enough so that it won't work loose.
  13. Yes, that is what I meant. I'm searching for lower part for this TGO build, and had lowers on the brain.
  14. Hmmm.....What kind of lower?
  15. I love the Hogue grip, and I've never had that problem. You should probably send me the AR and get yourself a new one.
  16. Like many of these type of thefts, they likely had some type of association with the scumbags. Could have been movers, someone who worked on the home at some point, family, "friends", friends of family or "friends". I try not to let anyone know what I have, but there's almost no way around someone finding out.
  17. You're due for a Nashville getaway, aren't you?
  18. At least they didn't give a damn near exact address to this gun owners home.  :shake:
  19. I would say not. If I'm not mistaken, the anodizing is only microns thick. I also believe that includes penetration.

  21. I know this isn't firearms related, but I remember seeing a few members mention that they work with troubled children and/or within the mental health industry.   I'm looking for locations located within the middle Tennessee area, if possible.
  22. :lies: They always trick me into buying something. Living 5 minutes away doesn't help either. They are evil, I tell ya.  :death:
  23. Most vendors are unlikely to see this post. You're better off contacting them or visiting their store.
