What he said.   It's like all these BS "polls" we hear about every day. If I know the question and the network conducting the poll, I can correctly guess the results nearly 100% of the time. Everything is slanted. All of them are full of crap, and the sheeple on both sides eat it up and regurgitate it, as if it's some sort of gospel.   Ever had a friend or family member involved in an unhealthy situation or relationship but  couldn't see things as clearly as you, because you had the luxury of being on the outside looking in? The same things applies to much of the BS we're fed by our own government and media. While everyone has an ax to grind, I believe we're more likely to get something more closely resembling reality from BBC, Al Jazeera, and the like.

How do I become a member of the CMP?   At this time there is no direct membership in the CMP. Membership is through one of our affiliated clubs or organizations. There are currently over 1800 affiliated organizations. About 15 years ago (I was in my early twenties), a very good looking girl came to the door trying to sell magazines. She was a big flirt, and became an even bigger flirt when I declined to buy any magazines. By time she left, I was writing a check for almost $60, and I had her phone number.   The very next evening, her mug, and about a half-dozens others, was plastered all over the 10:00 news for scamming people into buying magazines from a bogus charity or .org. Not surprisingly, I never received the magazines, and the phone number wasn't hers.  :doh:     To this day, I will not buy a magazine from anyone other than a child in my family. And only after I do a thorough background check.

No. I got one of these. It's an Umbrella Corp grip that's been stippled by zero7one. These grips are great for AR pistols. They allow for a much more natural grip position. The stippling is where the money is.

Somebody stop me! No more spending on this thing. Have a few more parts en route. One of them was a bit over-the-top, but I've been wanting one for a while. While it was a bit pricey, I did manage to find someone selling one for a fair discount. Still absurd.

Since we will soon have a fairly large number of members in the process of building ARs, I thought it may be a good idea to start a thread where everyone can post any good deals on components. While we are about to stimulate the economy, maybe we can save a few bucks here and there.
