You sold your friend a stripped MAG Tactical lower for $240?

My BIL also backed out on the other 5.

OK. Change mine back to 5. A friend who was getting the other 5 wants the newer magazines. Sorry about that.

No. I got one of these. It's an Umbrella Corp grip that's been stippled by zero7one. These grips are great for AR pistols. They allow for a much more natural grip position. The stippling is where the money is.

Somebody stop me! No more spending on this thing. Have a few more parts en route. One of them was a bit over-the-top, but I've been wanting one for a while. While it was a bit pricey, I did manage to find someone selling one for a fair discount. Still absurd. 

For sure. They didn't waste any time getting on it. I received an email today, informing me that they received it. They will ship out the new one in a day or so.   Noveske and US Gun Source will get my business again, for sure.  :up:

Since we will soon have a fairly large number of members in the process of building ARs, I thought it may be a good idea to start a thread where everyone can post any good deals on components. While we are about to stimulate the economy, maybe we can save a few bucks here and there.

Yours will likely come together a whole lot faster than mine.

I'd like to thank everyone for the advice and kind words. While not exactly what I think is needed, I have found something to get us in the right direction.

I think I've decided on this one. I'm going to get the 3"-4" foam tube to go on it, like the one used on the Phase 5 and others.

Yep, this build is getting expensive, and I haven't even gotten to the upper half yet.

Don't sweat it. I'm sure someone will be looking to sell some of what they purchased.

There are a relatively small number of companies who make the bolts and carriers for a much larger number of companies/retailers. Depending on the retailers specs, different metals are used. Dolomite did a great job explaining the difference to me, but I'm still confused.

Thank you for the information, guys. I've been doing a bunch of research over the weekend, and I have a few phone calls to make tomorrow. I've found myself in a very difficult and complicated situation, with an equally difficult and complicated decision to make.  Not sure I've been in a tougher spot.
