  2. I glanced up as we were passing. I thought it may have been you, but as I turned around, you looked to be a man on a mission, No worries.
  3. EDIT! Got it covered. Ordered a custom cover from Tactical Gear Junkie. Has anyone purchased (locally or online) QUALITY engraved covers? I am looking for one similar to this: I want it engraved on both sides. I'm a little hesitant to blindly buy online, because I'm afraid the quality/finish will be crap.
  4. Let me first start out by saying, the guy from Shooter's Guns & Ammo is a complete dick.   I ended up walking out empty handed, but my friend walked away with a stripped lower, grip, LPK, and a grip thingy for his LCP. He was like a kid in a candy store. I had as much fun watching him buy stuff for his first AR as he did buying it. It was a good day.
  5. Were you wearing a backpack?
  6. That's rough. I drive 8-10 hours a day, so I've had my fair share of run-ins with animals. It always sucks, no matter what kind of animal.
  7. I don't know anything about that, so I'd take your advice if I were Brent.
  8. A friend of mine purchased his barrel, bolt, magazines, and maybe a few other parts from Satern. He's pleased with them. I think he said it was about $500 for the barrel bolt and mags.
  9. I mentioned this in my 'My TGO 300 Blackout AR Pistol Build' thread, but thought I'd share it where more folks are likely to see it.  I hadn't heard of them before I started looking for parts for this 300 BLK build, but I decided to go ahead and give them a shot. Based on my limited interaction with the company, I'm guessing it's a fairly small operation. They don't have a huge selection.   I ordered the fluted pistol buffer tube.   Prior to the purchase, I had a few questions. All were answered in a timely manner.    Shipping was fast; three days from order to delivery. Their website said they were running behind on shipping, so this was a pleasant surprise.   The item was packaged very well, and the item was exactly what I had expected.    While I haven't attached it to anything yet, the tube appears to be very good quality. Looks awesome, in my humble opinion.   I noticed they had mistakenly sent me the buffer, buffer spring and end plate. I didn't order these, nor was my credit card charged for them. I didn't feel right keeping them without being charged, so I immediately called to let them know what happened. I was thanked for being honest, and told to keep them at no charge. Even if I was asked to pay for them, my review would have been just as complementary.   MAS Defense has turned a first-time buyer into a repeat customer. MAS Defense
  10. I'm going. I met someone who's not all that familiar with firearms, so we are going to head out there to give him some ideas about his future AR build.
  11. It's fairly common to see this happen around 2 or 3 years of age.

  13. This is my first time buying from MAS Defense, and they just gained a repeat customer. Not only did they tell me to keep the buffer, buffer spring and end plate, but the whole experience was great. Check them out.
  14. Just received the MAS Defense fluted pistol buffer tube. I added the foam tube. Unless they were running a sale that I didn't know about, they mistakenly sent me the buffer, chrome silicone buffer spring and end plate, too. They sent me the kit, and I ordered only the tube. They only charged me for the tube, so I'll call and see how they want to handle it. I obviously haven't installed it, but it appears to be very good quality. Not that these tubes have a habit of breaking, but I like the beefier "shoulder". It looks better, and adds strength.
  15. Don't feel bad. I had to stop buying parts for it. I have a part or two scheduled to show up today or tomorrow, then maybe a couple next week. With the exception of the Noveske KX3, I'm still on the lower half. Wait...I hear the mailman!  :leaving:
  16. Yeah, I've been using them without a problem. This is the hammer I use.
  17. Amen. I've never been afraid to wrap my receiver in electrical tape before putting metal to metal.
  18. This is asinine. Not to mention, somewhat makes light of those who are truly being bullied.
  19. The starters you posted are better than the ones I posted.
  20. These are the sizes needed for the AR15 - Lyman Roll Pin Punch Set 4-Piece Steel and Schuster AR-15 Roll Pin Starter Punch Set 2-Piece Steel
  21. Unless you want your lower to resemble a a crushed tin can, no 2-ton press is needed.
